From others Mafia Games standard Rules (I think this was copy from the Dark Corsair's current Game):
1) A full writeup of the rules can be found here: http://www.mafiascum.net/ This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...
2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.
3) If your role says you -may- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."
4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.
5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game (except me) unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.
6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.
7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.
8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.
9) Cheaters don't get to play in any other Mafia games I run. Period.
10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod playing who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

No, Pamela would be a recruiter, actually. She tends to bang people a lot, and being hot and barely legal, that's likely a draw in this crowd.
The principal would likely be a roleblocker, since he's known to wet his pants when scared, and that's distracting.
Mick would likely be the serial killer.

Uhm...no, pretty sure Guy Ritchie - Madonna's hubbie - wasn't a main character in the movie. :) (If by main guy you mean Michael J. Fox, he's married to long-time sweetheart Tracy Pollan.)

Well, yeah but let's be fair....his Fire-Tower Shield-Storm-Man claim wasn't half bad...except, y'know, trying to claim to be a hero in a game of villains. You would have thought all of us cheering on Nitewing Jr. (sorry, but I'm laying claim to True Nightwing :) ) getting his neck snapped might have been a clue that the heroes are on the minority in the game. :laugh:

Yes. One guy always seemed to want to lynch people without information or was always drawing false conclusions from the writeups.
When I was mafia (and he wasn't) I convinced people to lynch him on the first day. :p

HCRealms is the ONLY mafia games where theres a no lynch on night one. Theres almost ALWAYS a random lynch.

See, I was curious to see if any Mafia folks would try to protect themselves - split the Mafia - by going on the train or if they would hope by being on the train, active people wouldn't be so active and they could push to another No Lynch day (always good for them).

If what you say is true, then you're leaving people to die for no other reason than......well, I guess that's my point. You would have no reason to make such an outlandish request, unless you and your compatriots were attempting to hatch something.
In any case, my vote only counts for as much as everyone else's. What I want is information, not necessarily a head.

Because I have no chance of uncovering mafia. If Iron Ham picks randomly, then he may pick our cop/tracker and then we're left sitting around twiddling our thumbs another day phase. If the mafia jumps on his train, then they're protected and our cop may look elsewhere. Again, more twiddling of our thumbs.
He should take me, because at this point in the game, I have the least to offer. I can offer a townie vote that will follow any solid info. but I don't really have an incredible role or power. And as has already been stated, we have plenty of townies to be able to afford losing a townie vote. Which is what I have to offer during the day phase.

I can't gather any information. I have no tracking ability. I never said I can't benefit the townies. I am a protector, of sorts, but I have no control over when my protection will be called upon. If circumstances at night are set in motion in such a way, then my power will automatically be invoked. So I don't have to send any PMs to Carlos. Is this enough for you to change your vote, Thawmus?

From what I understand:
Iron Hamm has a mystical groovy time train that can accomodate 4 people who will be protected/roleblocked/unable to post for one day. He will take volunteers or may end up randomizing it.
There's not much else going on, so we discussed lynching a person who has yet to contribute much. First Cornucopia, who gave an interesting explanation of power, so votes went to ABF.
How's that?

Why would you ask that?
At this point in the game....
Without any actual concrete leads we can keep pointing the finger at people and they can easily come up with some Faux roleclaim.
So, without leads, we either no Lynch (not a great option)
Or we go after those who act supicious.
Which is why ABF got nominated, he was being quiet, if he's own now and not quiet, that might be enough to let him live.
We could always go for someone not contributing, chaling up their quietness to either being Mafia and if they are a townie, we've at least taken out someone who's not contributing.

And roleblocking isnt that great when you don't know who anyone is, you just end up roleblocking a townie most of the time.

Okay, I like Rokk's logic regarding Cornucopia right now. It seems a very strange and slightly selfish roleclaim (not that I expect Carlos's game to be necessarily normal, but...). And if ABF is telling the truth, its a useful thing to have around. No doubt someone will look into him later to see what's up, but I'll accept the claim for now.
