What is the difference between a quid and a pound?
Thanks,

None. A quid is a pound. The word's origins are somewhat obscure, a trait "quid" shares with any number of other British slang terms. When in doubt, consult the fairly thorough English-to-American Dictionary (http://english2american.com/index.html) (it includes one of the more comprehensive treatments of Cockney rhyming slang I've seen).

Thanks, I been watching "Bargain Hunter" and " Cash in the Attic" and they sometimes say Quid and other times say pound.
Jesse
quid is like a buck to an American, same thing different name.
