What is the difference between a quid and a pound?

None. A quid is a pound. The word's origins are somewhat obscure, a trait "quid" shares with any number of other British slang terms. Thanks, I been watching "Bargain Hunter" and " Cash in the Attic" and they sometimes say Quid and other times say pound.
