Hope they get better Rokk... but isn't this why you have a Co-Mod?
You wouldn't know it by the thread activity, but Survivor is open.
thats the thing about survivor...most of the action takes place off the screen.

As some of you knew, the original reason for the lengthy delay was my Nona getting admitted to the hospital. She was just readmitted a couple of hours ago and, I'm sorry, but this means I'm unlikely to reopen Trick or Treat tonite (maybe when I get home in the late hours...I know it's not a good time for folks but if I wait until Prime Hours it's unlikely).
I'd wanted to reopen last night but gave up battling the Realms Quakes.
My sincerest apologies.
I'm guessing a Nona is a grandmother or something. I couldn't find any definitions. Sorry. Anyway, family comes first, man. No exceptions. Take your time. My thoughts are with you.

Makes it less fun to run after the initial rush wears off. But hopefully, the fun level for the players balances it out a bit.

Rassum Frassum realms ate my Survivor write-up. Now I have to do it all over again. I have some work stuff to do before that though so there will be a short delay. :angry:

You should just ask the players to let you in on what they're doing. I'm sure plenty of them would be willing to share a chuckle. ;)

Isn't Chortle a Pokemon or something? Anyway, a couple have let me in on what's been going down. Other just prefer to reveal everything at the end due to the complicated nature of it. Still, the priority is that the players are enjoying themselves, not me. That's just a bonus.

But the end result of that is a lack of enjoyment on the mod's part. While the focus should be on the players, it's also important to make sure you're enjoying it as much as they are. That's how people get burned out and pay so little attention to the game that they stop opening and closing the thread on time.

Yeah, that is a major buzzkill. You know how often I write 1500 word posts in games? Realmsquakes have been a large part of retirement for me in the past.
Just look at Kalel's Star Trek game in the Arcade. It's been completely killed, because he was going to post results, and a quake erased it. He's lost all ambition to continue it ever again.

You would have to look up Nonna (Italian) actually. When I said Nona=Grandmother, I meant for him specifically, though not all that uncommon as an affectionate name for grandmother I think.

I'm very disappointed that Kaos ended prematurely, I thought it was an interesting mechanic that sadly got lost in the shuffle of other games. My role was awesome! Nice try, VDB.
Perhaps making everyone create a new post at the beginning of every day phase, would be a good idea. I thought it was an interesting idea, myself.

I applaud the attempt at something inventive. They're always welcome. It just didn't grab my attention due to the complexity. After all, I'm a simple dude who is mesmerized by shiny objects.

I feel you. None of my games are open either. Although I didn't take the day off.
For the record, I come from a Polish background, so we use the Polish version of Grandma and Grandpa, which is Babcia and Dzja Dzja respectively (this is the closest approximation to English that I can make from this dialect). That's not how they're pronounced, either. Kinda complicated, but when you grow up with it all your life, its easy. ;)

See, that's why, when you have something rather long and detailed written out that you're posting to the internet, you should always write it on a program like Microsoft Word first, then Cut/Copy+Paste.
