What would you guys think about a number of mafia awards? Awards like
The Omac Award: For the biggest Gaff
The Impaler Award: For Biggest Bodycount
You get the idea. I haven't been around long enough to have other revelvant titles, now that I think of it, those were both from VU, but awards like "Biggest bluff," "Best death scene," and "Most Creative Power." Stuff like that.
Every set time that we agree on, people can nominate what they think should be up for it, and then we vote on the final result. I think it would be really cool.

Don't forget best Mod award.
Seems kinda...I don't know. Hard to judge? I'd rather break it down into best writeups and most creative roles. Overall, I'd say that is most of what modding is aside from sending out pms and making sure you don't messup night actions which I'd like to think we all get mostly right.
I mean, I wouldn't want to see a "best mafia player" award.

I'd personally nominate Rokk as Nightwing claiming Hugo Strange as much more convincing that Dumas' KC Superman
(or Rokk's Bucky, since it required someone else to be Winter Soldier and fell apart when it was apparent there wasn't another such player. Not criticizing, since he fooled the town for a good while, just pointing out why I think his Hugo Strange roleclaim was better.)

Shadow40 is dead. He was the good Justice League Detroit member known as Steel (Hank Heywood III). Strong enough to get a confession, fast enough to information.
That's why it kept bugging me when people were saying JLD Steel was too obscure for the game.

In Villains United, on day 2, thepunisher27 correctly role claimed as OMAC. It was a bad idea.
I don't know the exact details. I was running the game so I just tallied the votes and closed the thread.

That isn't as lucky as Squirrel Girl's squirrels eating Doctor Doom or Joker killing Robin on night one.
Like Wolverine and Sabertooth killing each other in Mutant Masscre, there was a pretty high chance it was going to happen unless one of them died early.

Especially considering since in the early game I had no idea who to save, I saved the one person i knew was good for the first 3 or 4 nights and of course the only other guy I saved was rotten to the core. not the best doctor out there

He was Ultimate Deadpool, from another dimension. Thus, he was uninfected to begin with! :)

For writing, most of the mods do a great job! My hands down favorite would be TMNT, after him MSU. Both of their threads kept me coming to read, even after I was out of the game.

You don't have to always assume Rokk's Mafia. :) Just follow these simple Mafia rules:
Don't take anything anyone says at face value.
Don't automatically vote/do something someone tells you to do
Don't cave immediately/be intimidated if someone accuses you of something -- your word is just as good as theirs early on.

I could win with either the Mafia or the Townies. I was fairly sure the Townies had the Mafia down to one, but I wasn't 100% sure. After JoH said Mickey wasn't in the game I was SURE he was Mafia 'cause there was no way Mickey wasn't in the game -- I figured he was just trying to off Mickey. Pashmina voting for me then refusing to remove the vote didn't help matters -- I couldn't allow anyone who even implied removing me to remain if I could help it given my neutral alignment. Pash had to go, and JoH would be eliminated next.
Offing Mickey didn't worry me terribly because I could win with either side.
Much to my surprise, JoH was indeed good (Belle being a Disney Princess and Good really threw a monkey wrench in my line of thinking), thus making Punisher the next logical kill. If Punisher had been innocent, Carlos would have been next (black hair and all that)

I really wish I had killed carlos instead of ABF, I think I could possilby have won without a role blocker being in my way maybe jack woulda helped me out too:)! No wonder borat hates gypsys!

I'll second the nomination to Kit for best twist. I had no idea she was evil in JLA.
Best manipulator is definitely Rokk. He convinced me that I was roleblocked on Night 1, and so he wasn't Mafia. After I was taken out, I kept watching the thread, hoping someone would figure him out eventually. :laugh:
I want to say more about other categories, but I don't want to be tacky. ;)

Really, we should have all realized that when the same person was blocked two nights in a row and nobody was killed two nights in a row, that that person was mafia. :knockedou
That would have saved me and Pash.
I agree it was probably the dumbest lynching, but not just because it was Micky. With no doctor left and a roleblocker still in play, it should have been obvious who was killing.
In fact, the only reason anybody believed Ariel was there when we lynched Pash was because I found her hair....which got me lynched, later. :p

I think that was kinda a broken role anyways.
I've seen "tell who targeted someone on a certain night" or "tell all the characters who targeted so and so" but "tell the players that have targeted this corpse?"
That finds the mafia real fast.

I was refering to Calculator in villains united.
As long as nobody killed him, he had a very high shot to bring evidence about a mafia member every day. If they used a block and kill method, he'd catch two of them.

Yeah, I was the Calculator in Villains United, the autopsy guy. Nailed mafia immediately. All I had to do was speak-up with solid info, and I was unlynchable, and obviously I'd be protected so unkillable at night. It was only a matter of time... and a matter of Rokk The Impaler being the PGO. :)

I had one changed on me before the game started as the mod realized he had created a completely broken role for me that would have made the game quite sick and then he neutred it and I died real quick

To be fair, there were no townie losses because we also had a resurrector on our side to bring back anyone who died.

However, in all fairness it was the wrong Doctor Doom she targeted (Ultimate Dr. Doom has no history with Squirrel Girl), just like it was the wrong Deadpool she got later.
I'd say that Apocalypse recruiting Angel as Death on Night 1 of Mutant Massacre was fairly amazing as well :)

Black Adam in JLA 2 was broken to me. Mafia aligned, immune to nightkills and all scans say he's JSA. Just seemed a wee bit too good, but then again it's Black Adam.
However, if all her society teammates died, she lost her scan immmunity. Also, if she ever killed somebody herself, she would lose the nightkill immunity. So there were some drawbacks.

In general I prefer "if you accomplish this, then" buffs rather than "if this happens, then" debuffs. Makes for (hopefully) more balance and gives people something to strive for.

Yeah but by the time everyone was killed all of our trackers were dead and she had me backing her up since she was on my 'team'.

yes, that is true. I was thinking about that writing some roles. You have to reward things. that is more fun than punish for things. if you get any idea what I meant. :p
