I knew he was shot yesterday, but this morning... he's gone.
Leaves behind a girlfriend and 1-year-old daughter.
RIP

I heard about this on the radio very early today. Murdered at 24, what a tragedy. Thoughts and prayers for the Taylor family.

As a Redskin fan and a football fan in general, this news has really shocked and saddened me.

Such a shame. He is only three years older than me. I remember seeing clips of the Philly game he played in. He was intense! Although he had some run in s with the law, it sounded like he was turning his life around. Just a tragedy.

He was only about nine months older than me. He's definitely made some mistakes but who hasn't? Also, it did seem like he was doing a lot better...
Have we found out why the murder occurred? Did it have anything to do with break-in to his house a week earlier?
this was a huge blow not just to the redskins but to the whole NFL, i remember when i was a little younger, sean taylor ding these sick jukes and carp. Man, in my opinion he was the best corner in the game..: (

I'm pretty sure he was a safety.

He was. This is so sad.
Say what you will about pro sports theatrics.....
I thought what they did for their first defensive play was very moving. It was a nice hat-tip to Sean, and I had difficulty not tearing up over it.
(for those not aware of what they did, the Redskins came out for their first defensive play with only 10 players)

Bump. This should not be forgotten. It was a tragedy that is felt throughout the entire NFL.

I didn't see this, but heard about it. It was very moving. Good thing they didn't get burned, people would have been talking about the stupidity rather then the gesture.

Well the Bills did get a 22 yard gain on that play.
The Bills coach did say if he knew they were doing that, he would have had the QB take a knee...

With Sean Taylor being named to the NFC Pro-Bowl roster; I hope they follow suit and do the same gesture (with the QB kneeling) to honor him.
