*The 1990's*
My fellow mutants! For too long have we suffered at the hands of our inferiors! The age of Homo superior is upon us! While some are foolish enough to believe in peaceful co-existence, that "dream" is nothing but a sham, a desperate lie told by weak and misguided among us, who lack the courage to take their rightful place as the new rulers of this Earth!
For those with courage, I extend my offer. A place free of judgment, free of hatred. A place where you will be treated as you should be! A place where you need not live in fear or under the yoke of human oppression. I send to you my lieutenant, the noble Exodus, as shepard to those who will support the cause of mutant acsension! All mutants are welcome in Avalon, provided your intentions are true.
On Avalon, we shall marshall our forces, and prepare to take what is rightfully ours! And those who would stop us, be they human or mutant, shall know our power. And THEY shall be the ones who know fear.
The transmission, broadcast over the world's communication systems, ends as abuptly as it began. Around the world, large metallic pods land and their doors open, inviting all those with the conviction to answer Magento's call to ascend to a better place. As Earth's governments are temporarily paralyzed with panic, mutants who have been oppressed and feared flock to Magneto's banner. The mighty Exodus begins to ascend with the first wave of initiates.

Now that Magento has said his peace, I'll follow up. I'm taking a foray into a niche of the Marvel Universe that I've always liked. I know some of the characters are a bit obscure, but the source material is rich for intrigue, plotting, and good old fashioned Mafia mayhem.
I'm looking at 25 roles right now. I could run it with a little less, or a little more, but 25 would be pretty perfect. I know my Firefly Mafia is also in the sign-up stage, so my plan is to launch them in the order they fill. Beginning of January will hopefully see one take off, and mid- to late January will launch the other.
Also, for those who are curious, I'm drawing from the Asteroid M/Avalon plots, as opposed to any arc in particular, so there's no iron-clad Acolyte team line-up from any particular issue. And, of course, there will be some people out there to shut the Acolytes down. But who...?

*tosses you a VS deck made from the Acolyte characters* Honestly the big "appeal" to me of the Acolytes was in trying to figure out what they did. They were, after all, characters of the early 90's which means "cool looks and ambiguous powers". :)

Yeah, Seamus is a sore thumb among the uniforms. He's just gonna be called Godzilla in all my write-ups, assuming he makes it in.

Rusty at least had a bit of punch to him, even if he wasn't the greatest Acolyte ever.

Either the 1st week of January or the middle of January. I'm doing sign-ups for this and Firefly concurrently. Whichever fills first will launch first week of Jan., the other will launch mid-Jan when the first one is winding down.

I second that. People deserve second chances (heck, I had a ton of fun in Avengers mafia) but as far as I'm concerned this is like your third chance.

Seems like it has to be done. His previous ban caused some chaos in running games, and his current one shows it could happen again. I was hoping to give him one last chance with my game, but I think it would be too potentially disruptive at this point. So here we are.
On the other hand, sign-ups are otherwise pretty healthy, and I don't need to have 30 or 40 people in this game, so we're still in good shape with regard to players.

I've edited a link into the first post. Its a useful guide to the Acolytes, a who's who, if you will. Any and all of the characters listed on that page are fair game as possible Acolyte roles. Then, of course, there is the Mafia...

To his credit, even his grammar and such in his posts have improved, which leads me to believe he's really trying to follow through.

Okay, we are at 24 of the 25 original roles, and my Firefly game is getting pretty near the end. That said, I've been working on some other neat roles for this one. If there's enough interest, I can bump it up to 27 roles (at least) if more people wanna play. Of course, job 1 is filling that last regular spot.
