I have taken to running 1 game a month, and I think I just picked my January one.
New year, so let's start it off with a tribute to all Mafia Games of 2007.
The game is Mafia All-Stars: 2007
The game would include memorable roles from the last year. What I would do is ask you all to send me various roles from all your games and make them into an All-star game! (I would also ask for more then I need so even you wouldn't know who was included)
For this to work, I would need the support of basically everyone who ran a mafia game in the last year. Would you all be willing to help out?
(Don't send me roles yet, I'll ask for them when I need them. I'm just making sure I have support)

BTW, this is a great idea - and I'll send you some roles from Marvel and DC Zombies!

Probably just a role or 2 per game. Depends on how many people would play too.
I have quite a few roles in my game that would be awesome in this.:cool:
Also, I will try and include as many games as possible, but some might not be included. It depends on turnout.
Side Note: Should I limit it to roles that ended up winning, or just any roles from the game?

Any roles from the game. There have been awesome roles that didn't necessarily wind up as winners, but it was fun to have them around.

I agree. I was just thinking the other way will make it easier to pick roles.
I mean, I obviously want the best roles possible, but I also want to to be balanced. That could be hard. I will need a lot of input from you guys, but not so much that you know too much.
Still, I think it will be good.

A little bit of everything. Different roles from all different games. But yes, not just winners will be included.

Two more things:
1) For this to work, this game would have to be a really big game. Include as many roles as possible
2) To make sure this game is fair, I may need to get a silent partner. Someone who would be willing to help rather then play. Help me sort through the roles, pick out the best ones and make the sides as even possible.

Hey, thats me! And I'm a mod now! I hope comics strip slaughter is done by then, its got some neat roles.
Oh, and I would love to see more people get changed into pyrotechnic displays again.

My personal favorite one was when DarkCorsair got turned into the Drugged Out set of groupies. THAT was a riot.

It occurs to me that if everyone sends in their most interesting and unique roles, there will be no one to fill the standard necessary roles of vigilante, doctor, cop, etc.

I know. Some of the spots will go to those types of characters, but they will still be representatives of past games. Don't worry. I'm going to put a lot of work into making it even.

I can help you out with picking roles, if you like. We always have bad luck in each other's games anyways. If we work together, neither of us will get the bad luck (or the universe will explode).

I think this is what I will do. I'm going to ask everyone for 3-4 roles per game. One of them has to be mafia, one town and one wild card (can be good bad or neutral). I will then pick from those the roles I will use to make it even. Hopefully all needed roles will be sent. If not, I'll look through games to find what I need (like if no one sent a cop or a vig etc.) This, way, not even the mods truly know who I included and who I didn't.

Oh, I imagine there's someone too. Just was warning a fair number of them will be watered down without their trigger events or other characters that were tied into their powers.

As I said, with the sheer abundance of games, there will probably be only 1-2 per game, so I don't need a whole bunch.

Yeah, a quick gloss-over in the meantime:
"A toad in a car caused some mayhem..."
Or just indicate it each write-up as
"placeholder"
and then let MSU write it up after he dies. Perfect plan. :)

Hmm... a good point. :) I'm certain you'll do a fine job with all the characters you'd be working with. I think we've all seen good evidence of that by now.

Yeah, that game had some better, more interesting characters than Pikachu, but still... :)

Or, conversely, if you end up with mostly former masons, you could make the Groucho Marx Mason Group: Only Non-Former Masons. ("I don't want to be a part of a group that'll accept me as a member!")

After that, I will start picking which roles to include.
(A note to all mods, I will try and pick one you recommended but I reserve the right to include any role you featured in your games and some basic roles will be needed.)
