Going through the write-ups. Looks like I'm in more than two write-ups. If I'm reading them right.

I know for a certainty that the Thing is not a Skrull; that would mean if we can't figure out who's Rogue, the FF Skrull - remember, she was only certain her -teammates- weren't Skrulls - would be V-X but I'm not sure I've the energy for that fight right now.

Either way, whether we go after V-X or Rogue, the other one needs to be handled with care during the Night.

If you know everyone is going to be watching you and you were Mafia, would you do anything suspicious?

It's possible there's not an FF Skrull - though I think the odds are in favour of there -being- one - but wouldn't it just make everyone feel better to have it checked? Heck, if people can waste multiple Nights checking me, I'm sure we can spare -one- to check on V-X.

As for Rogue, we do have a lead on the identity: it's someone Melkhor said he wasn't even sure had been active (and, now, apparently after that was alerted to do so).

I don't necessarily feel that he is our #1 suspect for rogue, but my list of possibilities is short enough where if we spread our investigations, we should be able to sniff her out.

He's asking if your typo where you asked the Thing to block good guys was actually an accidental slip-up which is revealing you as Mafia.

Basically, if you lie, he can tell. And if he can tell you are lying, he will do something to you. My guess is beat you into unconsciousness so you are knocked out for a day or something.

I can't vouch that he is not skrull, but i do know that he is one of the inhumans. Since we know for certain that rogue is a skrull, we should coordinate our efforts. As soon as i have confirmation that DocDoom (subbing for thepunisher) is not Thing, I will list a "target plan" for the upcoming night phase. If we all stick to the plan, we should sniff out at least one skrull, maybe more.

I would like to know why the Thing role-blocked me last night, unless he's a bodyguard and I just ran into him by mistake. I don't want to out Thing unnecessarily, tho, so I'll just wonder for now.

Thing, please RB CarlosMucha (I know who CM is, but havent confirmed that he is not a skrull. I do know that he is not a PGO though, so this is mainly to protect Thing, and also to ensure that Thing does not accidentally RB one of my team members).

There are a couple others that my team will check out tonight. Oh, and I also had it confirmed last night that my team is now 100% skrull free (unless Doombot is ruthless and made our "skrull checker" a skrull himself).

Please, no matter what those people say in the thread today, stick with those targets. If we can confirm or deny them, we can hugely narrow down the suspect list. Oh and Sue, a little more protection tonight would be hugely appreciated.

I apologize for telling everyone who to target tonight, but if Cragi accidentally misdirects one of my teammates, the consequences could be dire.

I am purposely not outting my team, because one of them is quite powerful and would certainly have a huge target on him. Anyhow, all I can say is I looked into it, and am certain that the new avengers are skrull-free (which makes sense, given Echo's mission to infiltrate us).

Confounded by the fact that as of Doc Skrullson's death, we see that the Skrulls can copy powers (which was news to me, at least). Assuming we have about 8-10 Skrulls to start (not counting fringe groups/loners like Super Skrull) then we've only killed two of them. That means we have 6-8 SKrulls out of 21. We also have a lot of people who have not talked much at all, which I don't know to take as apathy/absence or that they don't want to draw attention.

I think we have to get the quiet people talking.

Also, it seems like we have a decided lack of tracker/cop info (becuase of deaths I suppose) or becuase people are keeping it quiet.

For whatever trackers there are, or Rokk-- I'd suggest we start looking at people who *have* voted but who otherwise haven't talked much.

I can't confirm that SStralkowski isn't skrull, but I can confirm that he is not rogue. I have a suspicion as to who he is, and for right now at least he is not on the "needs to be checked" list.

Just to remind everyone:

I'm leaning towards closing the thread when the current Day phase ends and opening with the next Day phase on 12/26. (Essentially, people will have until 12/26 to send in their pms for the night phase.) I figure that most people will have other stuff they want to do over the weekend and through Christmas.

Alternatively, I can close the thread when today ends, give people the usual 24 hours to get their pms in, post the next night write-up on Friday evening, and follow with another day phase that would end on Sunday. The thread would then close and be reopened on 12/26.

If you have a preference for either of these options, please let me know. Thanks.

I've explained more than once why I keep "sniping" at you: I find it unlikely that the FF doesn't have a Skrull on its' Mason team so with the Torch dead and the Thing clear, that leaves you to be checked into...especially since after trackers have wasted multiple Nights on me in part from your urging, you still continue to point the Skrull finger. A fiery explosion ripped through the Baxter Building. The heroes came running, but it was too late.

“Hey, that isn’t Karnak!” said one, pointing to a badly burned, blue-skinned corpse and the remains of an image inducer.

DocDoom187 has been imprisoned in the Negative Zone. He was Agent Desbok (Skrull Infiltrator), who betrayed the X-Men from within, posing as the mutant known as Rogue.

CarlosMucha is dead. He was Lieutenant Mer-Ekell (Independent/Kree), who didn’t care how many humans died, so long as the treacherous Skrull scum were exterminated, posing as the Inhuman known as Karnak.

One of the Baxter Building’s occupants had a gut feeling about a woman. He did not know exactly why he found her so suspicious. But a sudden and urgent sense of distrust possessed him, leading him to her room, where he trapped her in a cocoon of webbing.

“What the hell? Why’d ya do that to Suzie?”

“I don’t know exactly … I just felt she was suspicious ...”

“Are you out of your ever-loving mind? Suzie ain’t no Skrull!”

“Look, I can’t explain it. All of a sudden, this irresistible impulse came over me, and I just knew that I couldn’t trust her.”

“That sounds like the biggest load of—“

“Please, Ben, calm down,” said Dr. Strange, suddenly materializing in the room.

“Stay outta this, Doc,” warned an angry Ben Grimm. “I want answers, and I want them now!”

“We’ll get those answers, Ben,” replied the Sorcerer Supreme, “but right now, you have to—“

“I said, ‘STAY OUTTA THIS!’” Before Dr. Strange could cast a spell of protection, a rocky fist struck him, sending him flying into the hallway and knocking him out cold.

What neither Ben Grimm nor Peter Parker knew was that another had been lurking in the shadows of the Baxter Building, waiting for an opportunity like this. The Sorcerer Supreme would never be as vulnerable as he was now, and seizing his opportunity, the killer shot Stephen Strange through the heart before escaping into the darkness.

“What a revolting development.”

Another man watched these events transpire through a cleverly concealed surveillance camera. He had no love for the heroes, but he found Strange’s death to be unfortunate (although not overly so). After all, he had no desire to live as a subject of the Skrull Empire, and Strange was attempting to stop them.

However, he was quite pleased with the results of the post-hypnotic suggestion he had implanted in Spider-Man. The fool didn’t suspect a thing, thinking that it was only a gut feeling that had caused him to change his target. The technique was just as effective as when he used it on another subject during the first night he was trapped in this accursed building.

Elsewhere, Matthew Murdock staked out another’s room. The man inside appeared content to remain there for the night, and Murdock turned to leave, concluding that he could do more good elsewhere.

He never got the chance. Intense waves of ultrasound suddenly washed over him, overwhelming his enhanced senses. He fell to his knees in agonizing pain, which made him an all too easy kill for another.

In another wing of the Baxter Building, T’Challa moved quickly to confront his target. He had to know whether she had been replaced by a Skrull.

Another accompanied him to make sure that nothing would distract the Black Panther or interfere with what he had to do. Unfortunately, neither the Black Panther nor his companion was prepared for the sudden flash of intensely bright, blinding light.

Moments later, the Black Panther’s companion finally regained her sight, horrified at what she saw.

“Oh no, T’Challa …”

The Black Panther lay unmoving on the ground. The burn mark on his chest suggested that he had been struck down by some kind of intense energy discharge. And lying next to him was a scanner, wrecked beyond repair.

MSU is dead. He was Dr. Stephen Strange (Hero/New Avengers), Sorcerer Supreme of Earth, whose mystical might will be sorely missed.

Rokk_Krinn is dead. He was Matthew Murdock, Esq., Daredevil (Hero/Unaffiliated), oft-investigated Man without Fear who tracked his targets through the darkest depths of the Baxter Building.

Pbdeberry is dead. He was T’Challa, the Black Panther (Hero/Unaffiliated), Monarch of Wakanda, who was perhaps the heroes’ best hope of finding the Skrulls among them.

Incidentally, MSU was the "skrull-checker" of the New Avengers, so that is 3 checkers down in the same night. Not... Good....

Also, I would be very interested in knowing why Thing decided to deviate from the plan, as he did exactly what I feared might happen, which was RB my teammate instead of someone that may be a skrull (Ignatz). Not that it matters, cause MSU got killed anyhow, but still....

Given that all of our checkers apparently died last night, I think we should vote for one of the "check-ies", as at least one of them is definately a skrull.

MSU was my team mate, and I never gave him up, because he had several powerful abilities. I honestly don't know how they got him. The reason I thought my plan was so good, is that we had several checkers all operating, and I never assumed they would be able to perform several night kills at the same time.

Oh, and speaking of MSU, Thing went against my plan and RB-ed him, despite my request for him to stick to one of the named targets. Even if MSU had survived, he wouldnt have been able to get any info, because Thing did exactly what I thought he would do if he picked someone else to block.

That is why I think that Thing is skrull and Vicious should out him.

Kl'rt targeted me night 1, and that's how he knew about Johnny so soon. I was released from his thrall when Johnny killed him. I targeted Ignatz for a trust check for V-X, and I targeted MSU because of something he said a few nights ago ( I really have no information. Ironman and deathstroke were both checked out by MSU, and both showed up as "hero". Webheadman was checked by the Vision and Melk had followed Vision and knew that's who he checked (and based on the write-up it seemed like webheadman came back as "hero" also.

I got nothin at all on Biz, and DarkCorsair was the guy I tried to web last night but I got misdirected.

Also, one night I webbed Sstralkowski and he was the guy "in reeds lab". I am guessing like Forge or Bishop or some other futuristic/techie guy. Could definately see one of them usin a gun too.

The way I see it, besides him, we are left with Dark Corsair, Biz, and Badu.
If I had tried to web the guy who misdirected me, I think my webbing would have worked first and prevented him from misdirecting me, which is why I think DC is not the mindcontroller (or whatever that dude did to me).

That leaves Biz or Badu. Lets see, we only saw that MCer on night 1, and then now. Badu had been gone a long time, and is now back. That means he is probably the MC-er (couldnt tell if he was skrull or just crazy based on the writeup), leaving DC and Biz as great suspects for being a skrull.

One man (watched over by a woman who was quite familiar with the Baxter Building) emerged from the shadows to scan the man in red, in order to confirm his identity. At the same time, a green-haired woman let herself into the man in red’s room and began searching.

Night 4 - I check in on Rokk, to confirm his non-Skrull status.
