A Floor Team That Finally Works For Me!

i think that i have made a team that im gonna do well with so here it is-
My X-Men Theme Team
Bishop 100 protected 8 monster hunter 3
DR Cyclops 40 armor piercing 10
Dazzler 48 armor piercing 10
Cuckoo 40
Marvel Girl 40
total 299
or do you guys think that i should put a contigency plan feat on bishop instead of the protected and monster hunter?

i would tk up the cyclops or dazzler first and try to do as much damage ranged as a can and use dazzlers EE and AP and cyclops to hit as many figs as possible and keep bishop back for the big finish(hopfully) and try to take out their big guns. and of course the marvel girl is there just for tk and the cuckoo will be pushed for the prob control.

Looks like a good squad. I would prefer you had 6 pieces on the team to squeeze out the extra prob control but it looks solid.

I would suggest taking AP off of Cyclops and Monster hunter off of Bishop and using Contingency Plan. Cyclops doesn't have the mobility to make effective use of the armor piercing Energy Explosion like Dazzler does. (I make this assumption based on the possibility that you will be needing to flank stealth pieces in order to get an EE shot in. Dazzler with her Running shot and TK assistance from Marvel Girl should be able to do it.)

Since you are keeping Bishop back and using him as a finisher, I see you getting a lot of use out of the contingency plan to up Dazzler's Range or attack value to make the hit.

If you can swing it, try to use Marvel Girl's TK on consecutive turns to get two folks in position to attack. Use the Cuckoo to heal Marvel Girl next turn to reset her to TK and get Cuckoo on Prob Control. With the Cuckoo's PC and the "In Game" PC roll you should be strong on the attack.

Give it a whirl and report back your results.

Also what BFC's are you gonna use?

Hmm, forgot about Gambit's SP. He's going to enjoy the Hindering...so maybe drop the last two BFCs for Damage Control so I can shoot up walls, potshot through, and close it up. Also keeps the heavy hitters without their objects. The last BFC could be...ah, Ordinary Day :nervous:

I would swap Cyke with the DR Storm. A part time taxi will go a long way for more mobility. A little stealth will give you more options too to block LOS from outwit and such.

yea ok, but what feat should i use instead of the armor piercing on cyclops?and i havent thought about what bfcs im gonna use, any sugestions and i dont have any m&m bfcs.

Multiple man don't have the X-Men keyword If I remember... so no good with Bishop and Cuckoo...

I liked DR Storm better, but this is ok. I liked the Stealth and the mobility the Storm gave.
BFCs.... Assembled and Pacification could be good. For the feats I would go for a Nanobots, on Bishop probably. If you don't and go for another AP, then Damage Control could be a good BFC to limit the damage and the 'boting going around.

I don't really like Bishop with CP. He's your main attacker and front-line fighter and thus a prime target to get pinged off that lone click of Leadership or Outwitted.

I played against your team (but it had DR Storm in place of Dazzler) and some Inside Information, and Nanobots on Cyclops (for x-healing love).

It beat my team pretty easily.

how could the rk sprite be a taxi when she cant carry other figures?

Not lovin' Contingency Plan on Bishop. I think someone may have said this earlier -- he's not the best choice at 300 points. You need him to swing, which means getting him out into the firing zone, and maybe even pushing him. With most figs in recent sets having only one or two top-loaded Leadership (and Agent Brand and Bishop both go into Outwit that you really want) that feat really only works well with figs with Mastermind. Additionally, with a 5 man squad and no Brotherhood/Avengers TA, you may actually need to use all 3 of your actions, meaning Contingency tokens might be hard to come by.

If my dice had been hotter I'd have done better, but the real problem I had was positioning. If I had to play it again, I have a couple of different options that I didn't use for that match.

If you check the "what did you play" thread, you will see that "your" team also gto creamed by a Danger team.

I don't think Sprite can taxi. She's not a flier.

a good mutant theme team that i used to great success was dr storm 40 pts. fc cyclops with coordination 56 pts. black tom cassidy with whirlwind 61 pts. gambit with inside info 94 pts. and sr avengers quicksilver 49 pts.

i actually dont have a black tom or sr quicksilver or a inside info yet. and ive already said i seemed to have misplaced my dr storm so does anyone have any tips on the team that i have already made?

i would drop con. plan on bishop and put lucky break and coordination on him

those might be better in the event and you probably will go up against a hulk team .....everytime i've used bishop i push him right off his first click to get that ever important outwit so con. plan in my opinion wouldn't be any good.......the only figure i've played con. plan on has been vet. madrox his dial is loaded with leadership and mastermind.

yea ive also used the vet madrox with cp but not bishop but im sure ill be ok with protected and monster hunter.
