Sailor Moon Mafia Game Thread

I borrowed/stole this from JackofHearts2005 so be sure to thank him. He has run a great mafia game so I think his rules will work for us.

Things to remember:
1) A full writeup of the rules can be found here This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...

2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.

3) If your role says you -may- or -can- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."

4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.

9) Cheaters don't get to play in any other Mafia games I run. Period.

10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod around who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

A young woman was investigating an evil presence that had been felt by her friend Rei. She searched block after block and was about to give up when the evil queen appeared in front of her. She was about to change when four men grabbed her and held her in place. She tried to fight them off, but this time they were too strong even for her.

"It's time to send the child a message," said the evil queen and with those words blasted the young woman with all her dark energy. The woman screamed and screamed and tried to fight, but she soon collapsed. The four men laughed at the fallen senshi. Then they teleported away with the evil queen.

A few feet away a young woman watched surrounded by clowns. She smiled, snapped her fingers and they all dissappeared. A ghostly form also saw the scene and before floating away uttered the words, "demolish the planet."

Oy, I'm glad I watched the PGSM live action stuff, or I probably wouldn't have caught part of it.

The Queen is probably Queen Beryl (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Queen_Beryl) and the 4 men are the ####ennou: Nephrite (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Nephrite), Jadeite (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Jadeite), Zoisite (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Zoisite) and Kunzite (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Kunzite).

Chick witht he clowns is Queen Mio. She was only seen in one special act at the end of the series. But she appeared as Mio Kuroki (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Mio_Kuroki) before that. (I'm basing this off of that she only appeared with the clowns in the special act at the end)

Ghostly form might be Queen Metalia (http://www.wikimoon.org/index.php?title=Queen_Metalia). If that is the case, I'd say she'd be out serial killer.

Night Zero Write-up


At a house:

A young woman was sleeping in her bed clutching a stuffed bunny. Surrounding her bed was a small group of evil clowns. They all picked up huge mallets and were about to beat her to death when another young woman appeared.

"This one is mine," she hissed through her fangs. She wasn't about to let the clowns keep her from getting revenge on the one who kept her from the Golden Crystal. Suddenly a man in white grabbed the girl out of her bed jolting her awake. He pulled out his sword and with one swipe destroyed all the clowns. He then pulled out a white rose and threw it at the evil woman.

"She is under my protection," he barked at the black haired woman.

"Another time then," the evil woman said before teleporting away. The man in white turned to the young woman and bowed.

"Be safe princess," he whispered, "I will be watching over you until this is over." He then lept away before she could say anything. Suddenly a black strand of hair wrapped around her neck and started to turn her into a werewolf. A man with flowing balck hair stepped out of the shadows and smiled.

"You belong to me now," said, but then she fell to the ground and was asleep again.

"Don't you know that her power of justice will never allow her to be evil," a voice asked? The man spun around and saw a woman with long black hair step foward. She was in a sailor uniform with a red skirt with red and purple bows. She also had on red high heels. She held out her hand and fire sprouted up from it. She threw the fire at the man, but he teleported away before it hit.

"I know your evil now, it's only a matter of time," she said quietly. The woman then kept watch over her sleeping friend for the rest of the night.

Elsewhere

A black cat went looking for the white cat to report what had happened, but when she found the white cat he was acting strange. His eyes seemed dead and he could only keep saying that he wanted to demolish the planet. He swiped her with his claws over and over until she was dead.

On another city block

A young girl with pink hair skipped down the street looking for fun, but what she found was another woman in a sailor uniform, but this one had aqua colors and she was holding a mirror.

"Out a little late for a little girl," said the woman in aqua. She didn't want to harm the girl, but didn't want her to hurt anyone else so she swept her out to sea for the day.

Night zero is over

Ok, we have a problem. I'm the white cat, and someone possessed me last night. We gotta find out who targeted me last night, and fast. MCers/possessors are incredibly powerful.

I don't do much regularly, so atleast they aren't making a cop or doctor or something kill and waste a night action, but still. This is bad.

Surely though, in a themed game like this where there is only a limited amount of characters, if everyone roleclaimed on the first day it would be much easier for the town to win.

Yeah, we might lose the doctor on the first night, but at least we would know who to lynch.

Thats why non-themed games are sometimes better, because you can't deduce if someone is evil or not just upon which character they are.

Yea but a friend gave it to him.

And ABF, JoH and I worked out the role claim on day 1 scenario for a game with16 players. It endedup the mafia would most likely win. True the character selection is slim but if even 2 mafiosos slip by theres NO DOUBT the mafia wins. Even if they dont the mafia still has a chance. So no it doesn't work.

At first I though it meant me, but I never received any PM stating that anything changed. Then I looked closer at the write up, and Sailor Mars says flat out "Don't you know that her power of justice will never allow her to be evil"

I'm thinking that that last part was because whoever Mars targeted was Kunzite, and they know they're evil.

Kitsushel is Sailor Moon, the main character of the mafia theme.

I'm not sure who Mio is because I've never heard of that character, but Queen Beryl is the main villain of the series, right under Queen Metallia. The moonlight knight is an incarnation of Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Moon's future husband and constant protector. Kunzite is perhaps the most powerful minion of Queen Beryl.

More than likely, Chibi-Usa encountered Sailor Neptune as Ami (Sailor Mercury) doesn't talk like that. Though I don't know how character accurate this is being.

You make a good point. Usually, it works like this, though:

-Someone coughs up some info.
-A lynch happens.
-If the person lynched was actually good, the person who provided info is lynched the next day, because they're likely evil and throwing off the town.

Its not solid early-game tactic for the Mafia, since they are heavily outnumbered by townies. It makes no sense for a Mafia member to come out and pretend to be a cop at this early a stage in the game.

Regardless of whether or not jsocc is actually kunzite, I know that he's the villain confronted by Sailor Mars in the write-up.

Day 1 is over and no one managed to lynch any mafia. The Senshi lost one of their best friends and no one paid for it. Will anyone pay tonight?

Night 1 Write-Up


The pink haired girl had finally made her way back to shore. As she tried to pick herself up a young woman in a Sailor Uniform walked towards her.

"Mommy," the girl said, but then the man with long black hair appeared and laughed. All the blonde said was that she wanted to demolish the planet.

"Mommy please don't do this," the girl cried. The blonde senshi pulled out her sword and was about to drive it into the girl when a ball shaped like Luna knocked the sword sideways and into the chest of the man. He looked surprised, turned back into a rock and then the rock shattered.

The blonde turned her attention back on the girl, but she stopped and shook her head. The girl looked up and an evil looking spirit was pushed out of the blonde.

"Demolish the Planet," the spirit growled, but the blonde had stepped into her path.

"My cat is dead because of you, you won't get my daughter," she shouted.

"No she won't," a man's voice said and then he appeared, in a tuxedo and a mask. He threw a rose at the spirit, but it just passed through the spirit.

"Watch out Daddy," the pink haired girl cried. The spirit moved closer and the blonde senshi picked up the girl and was ready to run, but.....

"I've got it," a new voice said. Everyone looked up at a life guard tower and saw a young woman with blue hair and a dark blue sailor uniform. She shot an ice blast at the spirit freezing it. The man threw another rose and the spirit shattered.

"Pretty sloppy stuff," another new voice said. The girl in blue looked behind her and saw another senshi in an aqua.

"We have to help Usagi," the one in blue said.

We have zero faith in your abilities," the girl in aqua said. With that she pulled out a mirror and the girl in blue was sucked out to sea.

Elsewhere a young pop idol slept while a the white cat watched over her making sure she was safe.

In another apartment a young girl in black was mourning the loss of her silence glave when she fell asleep. An evil older woman appeared and trapped her within a nightmare mirror. The younger girl would never awaken again.

In a cave the senshi in red looked for the evil she had sensed. A man in white appeared and started to play the piano. The senshi tried to cover her ears, but the song hypnotized her and she now served the evil Queen.


Elsewhere another evil woman plotted, but was surprised by a man with blonde hair.

"You are too much trouble for your own good," he said. Suddenly she was outside and surrounded by fog. A huge plane appeared and ran her over leaving nothing behind.


Night 1 is over:

jsoccerdude is dead: He was Kunzite and now he will never be free.

IAM138 is now trapped forever in a nightmare: He was Sailor Saturn and now she will never make friends.

bigbro911 is dead: He was Queen Metalia and now she will never demolish the planet.

Someone is Knocked out and cannot post during the day.

IronHam is dead: He was Mio Kuroki and now she will never rule the world.

Night 2 Write-Up

A man in a tuxedo and a mask went into the room of the college age girl he had seen hanging around and found a staff shaped like a key.

"Looking for us," a female voice asked? The man turned and saw three sailor senshi, but they were older than the others he had seen. One had green hair and red eyes another had aqua hair and held a mirror. The one that appeared to be the leader had short blonde hair and carried a sword. She drove it into his gut before he could react.

"You are too much trouble for us and that fool princess," she said. The man fell to the floor and breathed his last breath. Suddenly the Dark Queen appeared with the man in white and his piano.

"You have taken one that I love from me so now I take one from you," she said. The man played his piano and the senshi with the green hair picked up her staff and walked next to them. Before her friends could react the Queen teleported her away. Then the man with the piano vanished as well.

Elsewhere the blonde girl slept in her bed clutching her bunny while the man who loved her watched over her. Suddenly he vanished into thin air. The girl woke up and screamed.....ENDYMION!

A blonde man watched her and tried to blast her with his special ray, but she started to glow gold and transformed before his eyes. He watched in horror as she drew a sword and chased him away. She wanted Endymion back. She sat down on her bed and started to play a harp mourning her lost love.

At another apartment a white cat slept while the evil senshi in red crept into the room. She looked at the cat and smiled an evil smile.

"Good little white kitty," she said before creeping away. At the beach the senshi in blue pulled her way in from the ocean. As she stood up the man in red appeared and startled her. She got ready to fight, but the man flew into a rage and hit her with a right hook. She fell to the ground, out cold. He teleported away still thinking she was pretty.


Carlos Mucha is Dead: He was Tuxedo Mask and now he would never find his true love.

KaineMak Is Dead: He was Moonlight Knight, a dream of Tuxedo Mask brought to life to protect his true love.

The outer senshi have always worked to their own agenda, but it's for the greater good. Something is definitely messed up with them at this point, however. Not only is Tuxedo Mask dead, but they keep sending away some of our other members.

I'm a bit confused on Chibi-Usa. Apparently, Rokk was targeted by whoever is playing as Sailor Neptune (the whole water/fish thing fits her more than the others since Uranus is Earth and Pluto is Death). However, Neptune would have no real reason for trying to protect Chibi-Usa whereas Pluto would.

I know. I'm just giving out some character information that may be helpful in making sense of the stories. I think Rokk_Krinn, KitsuShel, and DocDoom187 are all on the side of good. I wish I knew who Sailor Mercury was. If what I'm thinking is something like a special power she should have, then her help would be greatly appreciated. Of course, if this is partly based on PGSM, then she may be evil anyway. DarkCorsair was right about jsoccerdude which makes me think he is good. So, looking at who's still alive, who would be a good random lynch target? Here's who is left and who I think/know is good.

I started out with a power that if I targeted a Sailor who's been recruited I could turn them back. But I lost it when Endymion was murdered and I becamse the Vigilante.

Since everyone knows I'm Pluto know, I might as well explain my actions last night.
Carlos didn't know there were other scouts besides Moon, so he obviously wasn't one. When I asked him about it, he said (jokingly, but still), that he was Sailor Pluto. As soon as I saw the write up I knew I was fairly screwed. I wasn't given a lot of wiggle room. It wasn't even slightly mysterious. It might as well have said "MAGS IS EVIL NOW"

Anyways, I would obviously prefer not to be killed. As my former team mates can attest, I have a fairly useful power that can only benefit the town and is of no real use to the evil people, but if I can't be cured anymore, then so be it.

1) If I do that, the vig will just kill them again and my power would have been pointless. What's the point.
2) I don't even know which evil people are on my side and which are not. For all I know I'd be resurrecting an enemy. Heck, I don't even know who made me evil.

Tuxedo Mask was looking for the Mystical Silver Crystal and he could've won the game with it. However now it can only be used by the senshi who was holding it for the princess. A decoy princess if you will.

"I'll haunt your dreams forever," the woman screamed at the assembled senshi. A white cat hissed at her. A chain wrapped around her body holding her in place and then a sword finished her off. She fell to the ground never to bother anyone who dreamed again.

Night 3 Write-up

At an apartment a young woman sat on her couch stroking a white cat. The cat was looking after her, but was suddenly swept away by a cat shaped ball. the woman could do nothing, but look shocked.

When the ball dropped the white cat he saw a dark senshi in red doing battle with the good senshi in blue. The dark senshi knocked her former friend aside and moved towards the owner of the ball, the pink haired girl. The dark senshi in red pulled out a dagger and was ready to stab the girl, but the white cat jumped onto her face and and clawed at her. The dark senshi threw the cat down and before she could kill the girl the senshi in blue hit her with a flying shoulder tackle. Suddenly the senshi in pink arrived and pointed her sword at the dark senshi. Before the senshi in pink could do anything the man in red appeared and punched her out. He then grabbed the dark senshi and they teleported away.

Above the battle, on a rooftop the two older senshi viewed the fight and shook their heads.
"Foolish children really are lucky sometimes," the one with short blonde hair said. Suddenly the man in white appeared behind them and started to play his piano. The two senshi smiled at each other and when the man finished his song neither of them were at his side. The senshi in aqua pulled out a violin and started to play the funeral march. The senshi with short hair pulled out her sword and drove it through the man's chest. He slumped to his piano keys, turned into a stone, and then shattered. The blonde senshi smiled.

"We killed your master and now we've killed you," she said coldly.

At an apartment a girl looked out a window like she was looking for something, but then a man appeared. He tried to blast her, but he was shocked by her beauty. The next thing he knew he was back at the lair with a new idea in his head.

In a cave a woman opened a portal at anothers request. The second woman pulled a person out of the portal and she was satisfied with her choice.

Vevilaughs is dead: He was Zoisite and now he will never find his master.
