Is that REALLY the title of the book, or is it a typo?

It is.

And it is the greatest book, EVER!

Does it have the meaning of life in it?

Haven't read that far yet. Pretty sure it does, though.

Hooray!

On an unrelated note, just typing the word "Hooray!" as a response is too short for the system to handle.

I bought it as an audio book on the theory that I'd rather listen to Colbert perform than read it.

Good stuff.

I almost did that, but since I had credit for a book store, I opted for the cheaper method. The pictures were a nice trade off, except for Bob Barker's balls.

The sad thing is that while I did indeed laugh and cry, I only lost about 2 and a half pounds. I'm going to go buy the book three more times, that's what Colbert would want me to do.

I looked the book over in the store, and it looked interesting. But while I do think that Colbert's show is funny enough, I also feel like it's a one note joke. I can't see that sustaining for 200 pages (or at least being funny for that long.)

My fears as well!
Humor books like this are often hit or miss with me for that very reason.

I just hope one of my friends got it as a gift/bought it for themselves so I can try it when their done.

I actually felt that way about the show, but somehow it's managed to be consistently entertaining on a weekly basis. The book is the same sorta way, although I found it best to read it in small sessions so it doesn't drag.

Well, Colbert would be pretty happy with me because I have the book and the audiobook.
I'm reading John Stewart's "Naked Pictures of Famous People" at work. I should have been done with it by now but there's a girl at work who hopes to steal me from my wife and seems to always have the same break with me. I also have the America book but not the Teacher's edition.

I debated on the same thing back and forth but decided I wasn't sure if he would alter his audio-presentation to cover for some of the sight gags related to the book (e.g. - ongoing joke about book piracy and how to see if your book is legit). So, once I ended up trapped in an airport I broke down and just bought the book version. :)

(How have I missed this forum for so long?!?)

Just bought it.

The funniest book...EVER WRITTEN. I can't put it down.

And the Picture of Colbert in the back, was drawn by Joey Q himself!!!! :p

And if you noticed on the jacket cover, the Canadian price is put in parentheses. :p

Agreed. If you read a little bit at a time, it's like reading an episode of the Colbert Report. Good stuff.

The America book is fantastic. Colbert's book was good, and I could hear him performing it in my head, but I think maybe I should've gotten the audio book. Inflection is funny. And yes, read it in spurts.

As an aside, I got Rickles' Book by Don Rickles. You can read that thing in a day. Every chapter is about three pages long.
