Things to remember:
1) A full writeup of the rules can be found here This game will be more complicated than what's described there, as nearly everyone has some sort of 'special thing' about them. Doesn't mean everyone has a night power, but you never know...

2) When you vote, please do so by saying Vote: [Player] in bold. If you wish to change your vote, please say Change Vote: [Player] instead. Voting for 'Nobody' is a valid vote; if a majority votes for 'nobody' then nobody will be lynched and we'll move on to the Night phase.

3) If your role says you -may- or -can- PM me a target, you don't have to do anything at night. Even so, it'll speed things along quite a bit if you'd still just send me a PM saying "Not using my [whatever] power tonight, thanks."

4) If your role says you -must- PM me a target, and you do not? I'll pick one randomly. Or, perhaps, not-so-randomly. Don't blame me if you target someone who kills you.

5) You may NOT send a PM to anyone about this game unless your role explicitly says you can. This is cheating.

6) Do NOT edit your posts in this thread. This is cheating.

7) Please do not copy-and-paste anything from any PM I send you to the thread. This is also cheating.

8) Please do not post in this thread after you are killed. This, too, is cheating and can ruin the game if done wrong.

9) Cheaters don't get to play in any other Mafia games I run. Period.

10) Remember, it's just a game. You will get paranoid, you will be stabbed in the back by someone, you will see somebody do or say something stupid and want to smack them. Just breathe deep and relax. If things get out of hand, we do have a mod around who will forcibly remind you to chill out if needed. It hasn't happened yet, and I'd like to keep it that way.

11) I expect punctuality and this will be enforced. A new rule will thus be implemented to force PM's. If a person misses 2 consecutive nights or 3 nights total of Pm's they will be MODKILLED. I understand things might come up that might make you miss a night but often you know a little in advance and a simple Pm to lmk and I can thus auto randomize is fine. On the first offense missed night or near miss a Pm will be sent to jog you for a Pm but subsequent nights no such warning will be given. I hope this is not too much to ask but i just want as much participation as possible in my game.

The teeming masses had gathered at the hotel to hear what the man had to say. Some distrusted him after all wasn’t he a villain. Others who did know him had a personal distaste for the man but realized that the message he had was important to hear. Others really did not care for the message and had merely come for the free Little Smokies, tater tots and Pabst Blue Ribbon that would be served. But regardless of their reason they all turned to the stage when the man known as Dr light entered. Perhaps it was became he had an inspiring presence or perhaps it was because his costume looked like something an ice cream man would wear. He got to the podium and began to address the audience.
“Welcome my fellow morts, losers and other fellow under appreciated kin. Once I was like you and treated as nothing more than a second rate joke, but no longer. I regained my place as a true peer among peers” Even though a few snickered most of them were rapt hoping to hear how to execute this miracle. But a few though wanted to make sure the man did not say another word and enlighten these fools any more than they were. Their spots were in jeopardy and they kinew it they had been elevated into the ranks of the Redeemed and intended to stay that way. One drew a knife and let fly with it.
“As I wa........AWKKKKKK” Dr Light would never finish his sentence as the night has severed his vocal cords and effectively killed him all in one. The group were not known as Morts without cause as they never noticed the group who didn’t seem to belong either come or leave.

As the group began to leave though another figure who stuck to the shadows saw his opportunity to became famous once again as well and saw the gathered as nothing more than meat.



To clarify the Redeemed stand for the mafia in this game and losers are Town just to prevent any misunderstandings

Also I repeat rule 11 as it is new and i feel many might miss it

"Redeemed" seemed to indicate that we're dealing with characters who used to be total loosers like us, but somehow managed to turn themselves into respected characters along the way.

It is, of course, terribly subjective, but we should be able to make some educated guesses. Aqualad/Tempest maybe?

First he planned to ignore it but then he thought he saw some PYT’s at the con today and figured one of them must be looking for some consolation after the death today. He opened the door but that would be the last thing. The man at the door put a hand on him and he was dead.

A figure krept through the shadows with plans for the night. But before he could reach his target he ran into another. It was a woman and one quite stunning at that. He could not take his eyes off her costume of what it showed off.

If she could have seen his face it would have been bright red, but she could not and he turned around and headed home.

Considering how friggin obscure my character is, I wouldn't be surprised if Spot was a Redeemed (he was in Modok's 11 recently after all)...nevermind he was a loser there too. :)

If she could have seen his face it would have been bright red, but she could not and he turned around and headed home."

One of these two situations could very well have been the mafia hit-man being foiled. Since only one kill took place and we should assume we've got at least 1 serial killer and 1 mafia it means one of them failed and the initial kill could very well have been the serial killer striking (which could also fit with someone like Deadly Ernest or Death-Stalker as I don't think of either of those as particularly redeemed).

Most likely the former (most of the time they get randomized anyway)

If it's true, there are a couple of possibilities.

Either
1) the misdirector targeted the hitman and they got sent to someone that knocked them out
2) the recruiter targeted the hitman and that somehow canceled the hit
or
3) the woman roleblocked the kid and the kid was a killer.

Considering I've only heard of one of them and have never seen either, I doubt they would be considered Redeemed.

Daredevil and Alpha Flight foes, respectively. I don't really have any evidence to suggest that the Spot's killer is one of them, but those were the first two names that sprang to mind when I thought about horribly lame characters who could kill with a touch :)

Sometimes a game will include a character that "marks" people who target them. It's a good conversation starter, and it serves as a power that intentionally (or unintentionally) links a player to a character in the write-up. So whoever badu targeted apparently marked him. Now we know a little about badu's character, and can watch for him later/ask him for more info now.

All roles are randomly assigned, so it doesn't work that way.

There most certainly is meta-gaming thinking going on in these games though (and often far too much of it too), but it's' generally focused on the playing style and posting habit of people.

This is my fourth or so game, and it does seem that certain people garner more attention, just for being more experienced players. My first game, for instance, tons of people (including me) targeted Rokk the first night.

And it's not metagame, but I'm usually very talky and I think that gets me undue attention-- I'm trying to shut up more!

VERY VERY rarely the mod is extremely nice to one or two people and gives them a role they want. For example, I was Dr. Doom in ChalresX's Marvel Zombie game.
