Kid's Show Mafia Sign Ups & Suggestions

I plan on running a new mafia game based on kid's shows mainly from the 80's & early 90's. I will be taking a couple weeks off after Transformers ends to get teh role worked out. Sign up if you're interested and pm me with any suggestions you have on who you'd like to be.

I'd be in it if I knew what Kid shows specifically you had in mind, Live Action shows? Puppet Shows, Cartoons? Shows that were family friendly or geared towards kids or shows that were pretty much soley for kids and learning?

It will include cartoons, live action and such, but mostly ones geared towards kids. For example: Smurfs, My Little Pony, GI Joe, Punky Brewster, TMNT, etc. are all possibilities. General family shows like Full House, Family Matteres, Growing Pains, etc will probably be left out. The kid-specific shows lend more to actual powers. I mean how many abilities would fit a kid who gets into trouble and then learns his lesson.

Those characters may show up, but there won't be more than a couple from any one show.

I plan on snagging a couple characters from each show and going from there. It'd touch on a bunch of different subjects, but it wouldn't ruin anything for anyone who wanted to run a themed mafia for any one of the subjects.

Well, there are only two definite entries. If there isn't enough interest in a game like this, I might just have to can the idea, although I'd be willing to make it a smaller game of say 15 people or so and go from there, but that really limits the character pool.

The orange one is the rarer one and is the same figure just replace the green paint with orange. It was only available at the San Diego Comic Con this past summer and I think one con in England. If I remember correctly, there were less than 2000 of the orange ones made.

This was really interesting.
When you made this offer I started thinking of all the characters I would like to be. I then started looking them up to make sure they were from the 70s and 80s. What I found was the vast majority of the ones that I thought of were actually from the 60s. The second round of characters were mainly from the 90s.
As I was thinking about that I realized that the 60s were the ones I watched growing up. I was born in 1962. All the characters I knew from the 90s were the ones I watched with my son. He was born in 1989.

Anyone else have a gap in their cartoon knowledge? :rolleyes:

Scarlet Witch and I have finalized the roles and assignd them. We are adding flavor text in he next few days. If anyone wants their character (not necessarily role) now, please pm me. If you post here and don't pm me, I might miss it.

In the coming week, I will open the official game thread with the Intro/teaser, however, aside from the initial targets for the first night phase (we're starting in night phase) the real game will not start for 2-3 weeks. That's when the real action starts.
