Keep in mind, with 25 plus years of SNL, I'm not going to have EVERY character in there; but I'm going to mix it from all of the years so that we don't use up all the classics or all of the current, etc.

Some roles will be guest hosts, some might even be music acts.

And each "Day" synopsis will be the "Weekend Update." Sorry gang, but I'm holding onto that segment for my fun with it.

And if it works well, I'll keep on doing SNL 'seasons' and dropping some, adding others to have fun with this.

Why would you be killing them? You might "pin", "boo off in shame", "hit with a chair", etc. to remove them from the game; not every Mafia game "kill" has to be a death. :)

Generally, all of them. Everybody should have a special power. And the mafia/town ratio is up to you, but the town always need an initial majority.

That's what I was understanding, but some write ups have things like "Mafia Goon" and doesn't go any further than that. I think all should have something interesting to do.

Oh, and please folks; keep a sense of humor with this. Some folks will have zainy takes on the standard abilities. (Meaning the player will have the ability, but can only do it within a silly situation or post.)

That's a great one; but I'm going to go with one "guest host" each game; as to have more SNL cast characters.

And spend some time with your kids so Peyton Manning doesn't have to.

I don't think I'll play in this one. I'm trying to cut back as RL is getting more intense (got an improv show tonight), and while I love SNL, there are some performers who I hate with a fiery vengence and won't take the chance of getting them.

BUt I would love to see Andy Sandburg punching people before eating!

Well, as this is my first mafia game, I'm going with 20 active players to keep it small so I can learn on the fly.

If in the time it takes me to finish writing up the roles; if a few more want to play and I come up with additional roles, I might open it up just a bit.
