Ok, I can't wait. I love this idea. My first Mafia game was the Legion one, which was probably somewhat similar in flavor to how this one will be.

I'm going to make it big, but I probably won't start for a week or so.

Silver-Age Superman had one of the most colorful sets of supporting characters, lore and internal logic and I'm sure this game will be a blast.

Roles should always be randomized (although for BYOC games, it's okay for players to get a character they request). I'm pretty sure that I've never got a role that I called dibs on, and that's how it should be. Otherwise, it's too easy to figure out who's who, and you don't want that in a mafia game.

I've had some very random dumb luck that got me a character for whom I requested but, yes, roles should always be randomized. If anything it prevents people from going, "Oh. Hey, let's just lynch CaptainNifty on Day 1 because we know he's Luthor." :)

(Though, y'know, can't be Silver Age Superman without a Cosmic Boy appearance. I'm -just- saying. :grin: )

A pointer to general guidelines would be nice. I think I have something interesting worked out, and I don't want to lose anybody.

I do have all the characters picked and the powers picked, I'd like to make sure I'm not overlooking anything essential.

Roles have been sent out. As soon as I have time to do the initial write-up, I'll open the game.

Should be some fun surprises and twists on the standard mafia in there.
