With Pirates nearing the end of its run, I figured I'd try a smaller game. I'm planning for only about 20-22 people (probably not anymore than that to make life easier on me.)

Here is the whole Bring Your Own Band explanation. PM me your top 2 bands (And this means bands. No solo acts. It must have more than one person and said people must play instruments). As long as no one else selects it, I'll choose your first selection, and write a role for the band. Also, please attach a music genre to your bands. I don't want to get in trouble midgame because I called your band Techno-Rock when they are clearly Electronica...

Just a note, why must the bands play instruments? That excludes many popular acts.

That being said, I wasn't going to do any that didn't play instruments, but it just seems a bit silly as a rule.

I was about to contest this when it suddenly occurred to me that this rule does indeed discount what is arguably the nineties most important (and infamous) contribution to musical history: the Boy Band! Several of my friends, some of whom are even female, would be angry were Boy Bands not a viable option! :laugh:

This is mainly the reason. I apologize if you like that style of music, but whenever I hear them say "We're a band" I think "You're not a band, you're a singing group."
