Hi,

I know I should just PM every mod whose game I am currently playing but, well, frankly, I would need to compile a list and I'm on -very- limited time at the moment.

I will attempt to be available as much as possible but due to currently being a patient in the hospital - I shouldn't even be online right now but, well, I pulled rank :) (and, in truth, I needed to check work matters despite orders from my personal doctor) - I am on limited access for the time being, most likely for at least the remainder of the week.

Please feel free to do what you feel is best; I will attempt to get in my PM's but if you wish to give out my role to someone else or randomize an action, I completely understand.

Hey folks,

Just on for a bit but wanted to say, uhm, "Thank you." Really the letter wasn't meant as a "Please give me sympathy"-bit or anything like that. I just wanted to let the mods know what was going on if they weren't getting PM's from me.

I happen to be up right now awaiting some medication - the hospital is treating me during off-peak hours due to the fact that, well, during the day time I know enough folks around here that it gets hectic/interrupted and that's not what is healthy right now (they've had to keep an eye to make sure I don't have patients coming by to ask me questions even. :ermm: Normally I wouldn't mind, but....) ) - and sweet-talked my way on to the internet for a few minutes. Chances are I won't be on much - if at all - the next few days (well, definitely not tomorrow as I'm due for procedure).

Answering the question of what's wrong - though Thawmus, I think you may have mixed this with something else (I haven't been fully admitted as a patient for awhile now though I have been having some health problems related to the reason I'm now here) - is a bit...uhm...well, more dramatic sounding than it really is but to sate the curious - I was discovered to have extra-axial hemorrhaging (SAH to be precise) (I've been getting monitoured pretty closely for my other problem and happened to be at the hospital at the time anyway so in that regards, I'm pretty lucky).

Right now I'm under strict "heavy rest, no stress" orders while they get my body "in line" for a procedure, ergo the reason I'm incommunicado for a bit.

Ah, before I forget - some folks have expressed hesitation at "zapping" me (lynch, kill, etc.) in games because I'm not around and I just want folks to know it's perfectly alright to do so. I don't expect special treatment just due to my absence and, hey, it's all just a game. :)

If, for whatever reason, there's some important need to contact me, Shel has my number though my calls are being screened pretty heavily right now for obvious reasons.

She seemed pretty nice. She had Rokk's father give me a call to talk to me and I got the basics from him. He's out of surgery, but he's still under and has probably another couple of surgeries to go before he's out of the woods.

Apparently they had to switch him to another hospital under an assumed name because kept continuing to come in and ask for advice,and bother him with things. I get the feeling that they don't approve of him playing games or chatting online. :cheeky:

Anyway, he basically is in a rough patch, but he should pull through fine. I do not believe he'll be getting near a computer anytime soon, though.So, lets just all keep him in our hearts and prayers because there isn't a nicer or sweeter man alive. :disappoin

I agree,... I am still worried for him. but when he pulls out of this,... he would have to cut back from the realms, well atleast the mafia,... we need to keep his blood pressure down. it was a bad week for him and made worse playing mafia,... :disappoin :(

I've held off posting here, because I'm not real good with emotional words.

My family went through something (Thankfully, it turned out not to be as serious as this) where we were worried that my wife wan't going to make it. I am normally on my computer all the time, but at that point I didn't feel like being online. So I can just imagine how someone who doesn't hang out online would be. Cut her some slack. Trying times like this make it hard to think of talking to others. The Church I go to, makes sure that someone goes to the hospital to visit members and then sends out an e-mail asking everyone to pray. That way the family doesn't have to take the time to try to do it.
Believe me, it's hard to think about anyone else and a lot of the time there isn't anything to tell.

OK, this is going to have to be short and sweet, so I apologize in advance. (I'm stuck in bed today with a nasty virus and can't sit up for too long without getting dizzy and throwing up. Yes, its as yucky as it sounds)

I received a message from Kristen (the fiance) and we've been chatting back and forth today. They're trying to keep him sedated until all of the procedures he needs to have are done. Well apparently a fill in doctor screwed up and under medicated him and he was awake for a bit yesterday.

He wanted to make sure that everything on Realms was ok.

To AndrewT: He's sorry he's around to help with the Crisis dials thread.

Yeah, I think the dislike stems pretty much from that bold part and a couple other things. Still not really enough to go off on her at this point. If she loves the man, she's probably worried sick, regardless of her stance on how he looks or his hobbies.

But as I said earlier, I hope to not see him for a while, not cause I won't miss him, but that wiki entry made the condition seem quite brutal and he needs to take it easy.

I kind of took umbrage to that part, but I have the unique position of being a gamer chick and supporting and understanding my partners hobbies, so I guess it can't be easy for her to accept that part of him.

Yeah, I think the dislike stems pretty much from that bold part and a couple other things. Still not really enough to go off on her at this point. If she loves the man, she's probably worried sick, regardless of her stance on how he looks or his hobbies.

She basically said that he should be dead, but he's not. He wasn't expected to live through the night after a procedure last week, but he did. He hasn't been awake and not out of the woods, but she had his father call me tonight and talk to me.

His father said the same things, with some variants. He's in a rough patch, but his sheer force of will makes his positive that he'll pull out of it. I started crying when I hung up the phone. I cared about him before all of this went down and I can't help but feel like I could have been more there for him, like he was for a lot of us.

I was discovered to have extra-axial hemorrhaging (SAH to be precise) (I've been getting monitoured pretty closely for my other problem and happened to be at the hospital at the time anyway so in that regards, I'm pretty lucky).

Right now I'm under strict "heavy rest, no stress" orders while they get my body "in line" for a procedure, ergo the reason I'm incommunicado for a bit.
