View Full Version : Planet Hulk Event Dial Question
When playing the Planet Hulk Event Dial you are aloud to have reinforcements up to 200 points.
When building their forces, each player can also choose characters with a combined point value of up to 200 points per 300 points of the game's build total; no character chosen this way can have a point value more than 40 points. These characters are Reinforcements. They remain outside the game until called upon by the Rebellion effect
Does this count toward you keyword theme team?
For example if I have 300 points of mutants consisting of 4 characters and have 5 Mutants on my Reinforcements is that considered 9 Mutant Keyworded figures so I would have 3 Team Probs?
Also
If I have 300 Points of Mutants but only 2 characters and have 5 Mutants in the Reinforcements is my team now a Keyword Themed team?
My basic question is does the 200 points count towards you team?

The "Reinforcements" are outside of the game so they do not count towards or against your theme team until they become apart of your force.
The Rebellion part of the event dial says the Reinforcements count as a part of the player's force once Rebellions brings them into the game which is another indication that they aren't on your force before then.
However, once they do become a part of your force, all rules apply. If they don't share a keyword with the rest of your team then you'd lose any theme team bonuses in effect.
So for your first example, you only count the 4 characters on your force towards the theme team bonuses. Once one of your reinforcements comes into the game, you'd recalculate and re-evaluate your bonuses based on the new member to your team and the number of characters left on your team. Since characters who are KO'ed are eliminated (removed the game), they would not be considered would recalculating and re-evaluating.
For your second example, you would not have a theme team because you do not meet the requirements with only 2 characters on your team.

You're building a 500 point theme team. 200 points of which has to be under 40 points (although badger your judge to bump it up to 50, like we did. It's easier that way).

Do you mean sell it?
If so the answer to that question depends on whether or not you like it.
As for my question I think when you build your force for 300 points the 200 additional points will count towards whether or not your team is theme.

At the beginning of each player's turn, that player must choose a character from his or her Reinforcements and put it into his or her starting area. Once the character enters the game, it is considered part of the player's force.
Only characters on your force count towards your theme team. The Reinforcements are not on your force until the Rebellion effect brings them into the game.

So if you have a theme team and one of the reinforcements enters play and he is not part of your keyword theme team do you lose all of the bonuses?

At that point, each character on your team does not share a keyword so, yes, you would lose the bonuses. The ignored BFC now affects you and you don't get anymore use of Probability Control from your theme team.

Cool, Thanks for all the help
