i know you need to have atleast 3 people to have a theme team but my venue is doing a 3,000 point team so if i have 9 people can that be 3 different themes?

No

To be a themed team in the official sense all must have a keyword and it must be the same keyword. Also you must have at least 1 character for each 100 points so need 30 figures in a 3000 point team

When all characters on a force share a single common keyword among the keywords listed on their character cards and the force consists of at least three or more characters and one character for each 100 points (or fraction thereof) in the build total, the force is a themed team."

You need at least 3 characters. You also need 1 character per 100 points of the game's build total. To do a theme team with a 3,000 point team, you would need at least 30 characters on the team. A team can only have one theme.

ok and also lets say i had 30 people on my force would i get 1 theme pc for each three?

Thats how it works. So a 3000 point theme team will always have a minimum of 10 PC roles.

Make sure to check with the Venue/Judge if any house rules applies to this event though - with such a large build total they may have tweaked the rules slihgtly to make gameplay easier (keep in mind that anyone who plays a theme will get at least 10 rerolls...)
