Fantasy League WWE Game 1-WRESTLEMANIA XXIV

Well I used to do a version of this when WWE.com used to have the fantasy league and it was fun. I am not much for Fantasy Football, but I think this can be a blast for anyone who loves WWE and the wrestling game in general. Please remember this is the inception of the game, so it can change and improve. A side note, I will NOT do a TNA version of this game. They spoil two to three Weeks of their shows and it would be too hard to work around that.

ROUND 1 RULES

1) First 15 players to Join are in. There will be 3 Alternates.
2) 5 round Draft on Friday February 22nd, 2008 at 10pm EST in the Ventrillo Chat (will figure out how to order by friday)-If you are not in the chat to draft by the time your turn is around we give your spot away.
3) Round Ends March 30th, 2008 (at completion of WWE)
4) You may Draft only ONE current Champion (you may have more by end of round)
5) A new round begins on the Friday before a Pay Per View.
6) Points Each Week at the completion of Each Show: See Post 2 to see Point structure.
7) Name your Stable: Person with the most Points at end of game WINS.
8) You may make three trades per game (between yourselves and the Free Agents or New Comers available)
9) No trades Monday-Wednesday
10) All trades go through me

So far looking seems Floyd Mayweather and Jeff Hardy would be strong picks. I think Cena won't get a push because he is filming a movie soon. I am also having a strong feeling of team RKO losing at Wrestlemania, but not losing their belts (DQ). I don't think they will let Orton lose the belt nor Edge. Granted they have done a Montreal Job on both in the past.

Tag Titles are LIKELY to change at big pay per views as well. Seeing as WWE is not that invested in Tag Belts I can see it changing hands.

On a womans note. Every Female to pose for Playboy has held the Women's Title either before or After their photo shoot. They get stronger publicity as they make WWE mid-card status.

Don't forget there is actually a tag division it just gets used VERY VERY LITTLE. Also, some ring announcers and television crew are a sure thing for Points. Still early before anyone gets a SURE push. Still two more weeks of match building going into Wrestlemania and then you should have a few Job and Squash matches inbetween. I know some people are CM Punk FANS, but honestly I would be hesitant to take him. Rumor has it he made some of the backstage crew upset and he is doing INDY level work (sloppy) during House Shows. So, I think he is a dangerous pick. Any ECW brand person won't get a push at all and new guys won't see a push until around King of the Ring. So expect next round people like Koffi Koffiston, Paul Birschell, Dave Taylor, Ted Dibiase JR, DH SMITH and Teddy Hart to start seeing a push from their posts on HEAT. A few more dark matches and things should be good.

Side Note Ron "The Truth" Killings has signed with WWE. They may start him slow, but a Killings/Hardy feud would be FANTASTIC.

I posted how points are this week. They go back to zero when we start. This just gives people an idea to start figuring out who they want to draft first. Ric Flair has been making EVERY SINGLE show in WWE and wrestling. Big points there. Undertaker rarely loses, but his matches will probably slow down as he starts to do shoots on EDGE.

Honestly, a hot one to look at is CANDICE MICHELLE! This is about points, and right now I can see them pushing her into a feud with Beth Phoenix and I would expect mutiple wins from her and possible a Wrestlemania Win as Phoenix has held her belt a long time.

Also, looks like Finley and JBL are starting to book a match soon. That should be a good one to watch both work well in a ring. Though it means lots of promos and run ins with limited wrestling. Remember this game is about who is going to show up and WIN.

Shelton is getting a push because the Road crew likes him. He does what he is told and shows up on time. That is why he will always be a mid-carder that will never hold a major title. Even his Intercontinental reign was a joke. The guy will never get over unless he can get into a stable with someone who can talk for him. On top of all that in ECW he is going to never be able to get a good feud going. ECW's main problem right now is it is dominated by Heels and all the faces ALWAYS get over on them. When Kevin Thorne comes back I hope they push him towards someone else than Stevie Richards or Tommy Dreamer.

Alright, 59 wrestlers between ALL three shows. This gives an idea of how the points work between shows. I am giving you this weeks top 10 in terms of points. Rey Mysterio did 2 shows and had a big night on smack down. Though I tell you Maria is due for a big push for the Playboy shoot. Also, this fantasy draft is based on not just showing up, but also wrestling. There are a few wrestlers out there that do more shoots than wrestle. Especially popular wrestlers. Triple H, MVP, Randy Orton, Chris Jericho and Shawn Michaels rarely actually wrestle, but they SHOOT a lot. While they bring some points they don't draw points until a PPV.

It's suppose to be random for the first round, and then it works in reverse for the next round, and then the original order, and etc.

1) Does the 24-man Battle Royal get counted? I would presume that it would, but since it wasn't shown on the actual broadcast (which is too bad because it had some great spots in it) I wasn't sure.
