X-Men Movie Mafia: The Ties That Bind

Hey!

This is the first (of many?) mafia game that attempts to continue the adventures of the X-Men from the X-Men movie mythology. Old favourites will return, while new surprises will be making appearances throughout, as I attempt to expand the story in new directions.

In the wake of the Alcatraz fiasco, the X-Men were recognised as the heroes they were, though being mutants will always face more persecution than their contemporaries. That was a year ago, almost to the day. The X-men have become more media-friendly, adding colours to their black leather suits, and focusing on more global threats as more staff join the Xavier School For Gifted Youngsters, training the future X-men and women.
What has transpired in a year? And what threat could be awaiting the X-men this time around?

I think this will be a good game for Mafia newbs to play, or just those that aren't as confidant as others at the game, simply because it's a fairly small game without too much complexity. :) (I think..lol)

I wanted to wait until Messiah CompleX was up, but i'm over it taking ages.

Signs ups will start now! I have 20 roles, with a tiny margin for extras who desperately want to play.

If it's character choices in the movies/the way they were handled, Jack, be aware that this isn't a replay of previous games, but another (small) chapter in the series, expanding the universe with new funny characters.

After seeing Jumper, and being all "DANG! I REALLY WANT A NIGHTCRAWLER SOLO MOVIE!", and learning of DEADPOOL!!'s inclusion and Gambit's in the Wolverine flick, I really want to play this game. I'm Xcited.

I'm in a mafia lull right now, and I don't think I'll be in real long in the only active game, so I would like to see where the movies go.

One thing: if we are expanding the universe, won't the town be automatically suspicious of anyone who roleclaims as someone who HASN'T appeared in the movies (or only minimally)?

That's why it's so funny. Definition of (not) knowing who your friends are.

However, there is a rhyme/reason for the potential new characters. *taps nose*
