View Full Version : Sherlock Holmes
I just picked up the three volume "The Annotated Sherlock Holmes" from Amazon for just 10 bucks each (normally, they're 40 dollars each). So far, I've re-read "A Study in Scarlet," the two recorded cases Holmes worked on before he met Watson ("The Gloria Scott" and "The Musgrave Ritual") and "The Speckled Band." The annotations, which contain either historical asides or various theories about Holmes and/or Watson based on clues from the stories, are too much fun for words and really add a lot to the enjoyment of reading about the Greatest Detective Ever.

I have been meaning to get this, being a HUGE Sherlock Holmes fan myself.
I just LOVE annotations, it lets you understand more about the story, the characters, the time period, what the author was thinking, and even gives you a glimpse at things you may have missed the first time!!
Thanks for the info, I'll be going to get it soon now!
