Ok, I would try to do a lower point team, but I don't think thats possible to make this work.
I'm trying to build a theme team with Trigon, so thats 263 pts. Next, I went through and made a list of the other mystical characters I own that aren't too expensive and might work on this team, or else just round it out.
E Moon Knight (27 pts.)
V Magick (47 pts.)
U Spiral (56 pts.)
U N'astirh (125 pts.)
U Goblin Queen (81 pts.)
LE Kirigi (29 pts.)
So, looking at this, I have two directions I can go. I could use N'astirh and try to mind-control 3 people a turn to keep them running back to the doppelgangers if they break away, and making them block their own lines of fire with the barriers, or I could use Goblin Queen to TK out Spiral at whoever was tied up with doppelgangers, and then use her single target MC to do the same thing as N'astirh was doing. Then round it out with the cheap junk either way.
Any suggestions on which would work better? Or has anyone tried either of these two combos?
