How Did You Get Everything You Needed To Get A World's Finest Brick Figure?

So just out of curiosity I was wondering how many people actually bought their brick straight up to get the World's Finest brick figure and how many sort of "abused" the system and got thier barcodes, coupon, and receipt by means other than actually purchasing 10 boosters. Be honest now.

I am posting this poll because I know of a few people in my area that will grab barcodes out of the trash and get the store to give them a coupon from an open brick. Some of the guys that work there will even give you a bogus receipt.

I bought a case of Crisis the day it came out. Sent my two WF coupons and 20 box bottoms out two days later. Brick Figures pending, but I've been charged for them.

I chose option C) I didn't care about the World's Finest brick figure enough to go through all the hassle of collecting the barcodes and paying for the shipment costs.

I was actually thinking about not buying a brick but the World's Finest piece made me change my mind. Knowing that I sent out my request for one within a week of the release of the set and I might not get one is less than thrilling. :ermm: This will pretty much end my brick purchasing i think. If they made one BIBTB fig for half of the bricks they SOLD, it would be a different story. I just don't understand the limited numbers all of a sudden.

I will speak for my friend who I don't think he has an account here. Any who I bought a brick and gave him all the things necessary for the figure. He wanted worlds finest more than I did so I gave him my stuff.

I bought 3 bricks, which is how much I bought of Mutations and Monsters as well. (Avengers and Justice League I bought 2 cases each due to the summer tournys. Each set from Xplosion thru Origin I bought at least a case.) So my buying habits did not change for this set. And although I did send off for 3 WF, they will most likely be trade bait for local players who typically are slow on these things and therefore would miss out. Also, if for some reason my brother doesn't get his (we both sent them off on release day via priority mail; I've already been charged for mine), then he will be getting one of mine.

Because every thread about WF needs a little bit of complain -- Bought a case, sent one set of BIBTB stuff in on the very same day, I don't live in the US so my card wasn't charged and I won't be getting one. Whee!

I still dont know if I will get mine, two, I bought a case, one is for me and one for my best friend, who incidently got me into clix. I sent in money order on the 28th and hopefully but who knows, money order has not been cashed, so I will give it another week....

I feel bad for everyone who does not get one, including me, the only salvation being I do not know how practical a figure it is, what I mean is it is cool, etc. but would I really play it that much. When I first got it I would in a 500 pt. game just to see and then I am curious about a 1000 point game with it as the team centerpiece (Tunnel Support ???) but when making teams, fighting battles with my standard comrades,etc. I cant see it becoming dominant. I actually excel and am known for taking down and out characters of this type, not to be conceited but am legendary so I can already think of many ways to destroy him. I am like that with kickbutt characters, I tend to immediately think of how would I face and or defeat them, it works for me....anyway he would end up a collection piece and not really be a fighting piece, in my world at least.

Lastly my heart truly goes out to the European, Canadian, South American, etc. members of this forum who are getting a raw deal. I appreciate you and what you say and add to this forum and hope that you get some worlds finest and also that you get availability of crisis set like you should. Canadian members it is just ridiculous what you have to deal with and you have my admiration and respect.

I fell into their marketing ploy like a good shee...consumer. I bought into the hype of both the Limited Production Brick Figure and the My-Favorite-Character-is-only-a-Chase-Figure.

I prepaid for my Brick and picked it up at my comic shop on release day (normally I just wait until Friday Clix Night) AND I ordered a second brick online (for 10 more chances at a Superman). I opened my brick, filled everything out and put it in the mail that Wednesday night (I actually had to run back to the mail box, re-open the envelope and stick the receipt in it). I didn't have time to go to any special shipping methods that night (what with having a job and all). My card was charged 10 days ago (14th, paid out on the 17th... well after the 5th), but no sign of it yet. I'm going to have faith that it's on the way.

Remember when the WK policy was "Big Name characters need to be reasonably and readily available to new players so we're going to put them in every set?"

Got a KC Supes and sold it on E-bay: $135

Got 2 World's Finest, sold 1 on Ebay: $100

Having a World's Finest, Black Adam, Sinestro, Supergirl, Green Lantern, Kyle Rayner, Alexander Luthor, All the Teen Titans, Death Stroke and Monarch AND Nightwing & Starfire sans card, for free: Priceless

I just started playing and buying (DC Only) Clix, this was my first time buying a brick, i sent in for a WF, I dont think i'll receive one even though i sent in for one. Im sad to see there sold out of them, but thems the breaks ,just thought they would have made a better sorting system in regarding limiting them to households or card holders but oh then I hear the stats on the Whizkids website ar wrong but no matter but I would not be sending in for another Limit offer again from them...

I bought two cases (four bricks), but the second case was not available from the distributor until a few days after the Crisis street date. Once I acquired the second case, I collected all the materials for the World's Finest redemption and sent them in. I believe it was seven days after the release date, possibly less. My credit card has not been charged and I do not believe it will be charged this late.

I'm not real broken up about this, as a 500 point piece is about 350 points over my usual per piece maximum. But it would have made a nice show piece. And it would have helped justify the purchase of the second case - even if you don't open SRs or chases you still need after the first case, at least you will get two BIBTB figures you can trade to others who didn't go brick-deep.

Glad I supported my FLGS through the BIBTB Program. That's why WizKids started BIBTB, right?

I bought 1 Brick + 4 boosters. Sent in on release day for WF. (Doesn't look like I am getting one)

My buddy bought a brick the next week, and he didn't want to send off for the figure, so I sent his receipt etc in.

The second figure was going to go to my 7 year old for his 8th B-Day (in April) but alas, it seems like that is now history too.

i was complaining in a different thread about how the WF i got was a much lower number(3774) than the 2 my friend got_272 and 1200 something) when i sent my info in overnight and he only priority mailed his.

yet after reading this thread and seeing how many people arent getting one i feel much better about having one at all and don't feel like complaining anymore...
