My girlfriend just gave me this book and I couldn't put it down. This is an amazing, yet tragic story of a guy who threw his whole life away to go live in the bush of Alaska where he met his demise. A movie was just released on DVD about the book and I'm going to rent it to check it out, but the book was amazing...has anyone else here read it?

What did you think?

I thought it was heartbreaking, but compelling and really one of the best books I've ever read...

I haven't read it or seen the movie. But I've heard the book is amazing and parts of the movie were quite different from the book.
