Revolt of the Girl Legionnaires: Help Needed!

My son and I were reading the LSH archives (His teacher must think we are nuts when she reviews his reading log) and came across the story in which the "Queen of the FemNaz" (I kid you NOT!) telepathically commanded Supergirl, Triplicate Girl, Shrinking Violet, Phantom Girl, Saturn Girl and Light Lass to DESTROY THE BOY LEGIONNAIRES!

As we are reading, I'm thinking..."Hey! Even without Light Lass, that is a 400-point team!"

Only one problem: for Crisis 400 point FLOOR, Supergirl is only 178 points! I've got very few feats from Crisis...so what do I do?! How can I fix this dreadful problem?

Put in a Dawnstar and you've got Floor!

Well if you go with V Triplicate Girl, you can give her Opportunist that leaves you 12 points to go... so Adeline and Dolphin perhaps?

Oh, and I don't know if a ruling on this was made, but floor says 50% has to come from Crissis... now I coudn't find anywhere where it said 50% of maximum build total (ie. 200 pts on a 400 pts tourny) or 50% of your build total (ie. 178pts on a 356 pts team...)

I guess I can just throw a bunch of Crisis Pogs on the team, but I personally dislike using pogs. Even on teams that can use them effectively (Suicide Squad, CSA, etc.) I find myself forgetting/losing them between rounds.

Honestly I think this team would be better in the non floor events that are comming up. You could even put a Shadow Lass instead of the Light Version. Do I smell a Mod?

50% of your total build has to be from the current set. If your total build is 400, 200 of that has to be from the current set (Crisis). If, however, your build total is 380, you only need 190 (half of 380) from the current set.

Dawnstar's a girl. And she's amazing. and she makes you meet floor.

Is only 288. You can fill out the rest with some triplicate girls and go nuts. This team also has the ability to win a tournament.

The point is that I want to play a team that is accurate to the comic, not just some collection of figures. Neither Dawnstar nor Dream girl were in the Legion for that story.

If I wanted to use Dawnstar, I would just play my 4xDawnstar + 4xCuckoo team.

If you're dead-set on playing this, then go for the "50% of your build total" loophole. With Supergirl and 0 feats you can build up to 356 points. But a lot depends on what feats you actually have from Crisis.

Opportunist: works on Supergirl's late clicks. Wasted points, mostly, but this isn't a team built just to win. Any of the Triplets could use it a little better. The Vet is best.
Cannonball: Only Supergirl can wear it, even though she doesn't need it.
LE Fall Back: Phantom Girl and Violet are candidates.
Maneuver: As the only boot Legionnaire, only Vi can use it for one click.
The rest of the feats are forbidden.

EDIT: If you only have one Opp. feat, you'll have to downgrade to the E TripGirl. If you don't have Opp., Fall Back or Maneuver, you'll have to downgrade to the R and add Drag to get the build up to 353.

Do you have a Matter-Eater Lad pog? I can't remember if he was part of that story, but he was definitely in the Legion during that era. Otherwise, you could go with Mercury as a pretty decent stand-in for Proty II (who I'm almost certain *was* in that story).

I *LIKE* the Mercury as Proty (II), who *was* in the story. I have plenty of extra Mercury, so maybe a quick mod is in order.

Working from memory: the Boy Legionnaires who were defeated:

Supergirl "froze" Chameleon Boy
Saturn Girl hit Superboy with Kryptonite ('natch)
Phantom Girl "sunk" Star Boy
Light Lass trapped Element Lad on a mountain (!)
Triplicate Girl shrunk Brainiac Five, Cosmic Boy and Invisible Kid
I'm blanking on who Shrinking Violet defeated.

Mon-El and Ultra Boy were definitely on the "other mission" (my son is always keeping an eye on "The Three Strongest" :laugh: ) and Bouncing Boy was on reserve status at this point.

I have quite a few pogs from Crisis, so I will probably just use them (so as to keep any theme team bonus)

Since Shrinking Violet has the boot symbol, she can use Maneuver on everyone of her clicks. She could use her stealth and move up on someone and then Maneuver them out from behind some blocking or away from a warbounded partner.

hehe, well, for what it's worth, the way it's being errated is the way I read it when I got one. I put it on Karate Kid only to be told that was wrong. Now, it works with him so you can send him in and pull those stealthy people out where Lightning Lad and the rest can see them.
Although the new Supergirl helps with that as well.
