I have had a horrible time trying to upload a picture. I browse... click it and then submit and then it goes into a waiting stance.. just a blank page with the "waiting for" thing on the status bar. Any Ideas?
Hmm... it does nothing? I know it's working because people have been uploading images all day. Has it ever worked? What browser are you using? Did you recently upgrade? Let me know and I'll try to look into it.

Vista is your operating system. (I use it as well)
Typhon wants to know what browser you're susing, such as Internet Explorer, FireFox, Opera, etc.
I use Firefox and haven't had a problem uploading anything.

oh lol IE
filler
I don't have vista ... but will try to troubleshoot it as best I can. If I had to guess I would assume it's your browser's settings (javascript disabled or something). but I'll look into it

would that be under Advanced in Internet options? I checked to see if Java was checked and it was :( Im sorry im so stupid when it comes to computers
I also cannot get a picture to upload. I donated last night (Gold donor, yay!) and I am now wondering if their is something I need to do to "unlock" this feature? When I upload a pic, it says it worked. But then when I go to look at it, it says that there are no pictures in my album/photo area. Help?
this should work now .. it was just a file permission problem.
It still doesn't work. When I go to the upload pictures window, at the top, this is what I see.....
Disk space allowed on your account: Unlimited
Disk space used on your account: 0kb ( bytes)
Disk space remaining for your account: Unlimited
Wouldn't this be wrong? I have a limited amount of space for pictures as a donor, do I not? It seems to be innaccurate. Help!
I'll check it out again. I know some people are successfully uploading images; so I thought it worked
ok; I was able to get a blank screen when I uploaded a large image ... but that was solved by uploading a smaller image. That would explain why some people can upload and some can't. I'll look into what kind of size restrictions we're going to put into the system. I think it's actually set to something like 1.6MB max per image though. My math might be off.

thank u for all your help typhon :)
mike_hougton, since you're a normal member, you upload limit is 1024 kB; as for NRadd59 ... you should be fine. I'm looking into what groups you belong to to see if that has anything to do with it .. but I imagine by the time you see this it'll be fixed.

thank you that worked sir :) I repped you but apparently you like 100
It worked! I re-sized the pictures and it worked like a charm. I don't know what the max size cut-off would be, but at least I have an idea of what size does work. Thanks for all of your hard work, Typhon. I'm glad I finally donated to a site I'm on every day :)

Man I am having the same problem! I know I am not a donor (yet!?!), but I have done it before and it worked, I since deleted the one picture I had uploaded, and am now trying to do it again (with a sweet mod), but I am having the same problem M houton is/was having! Please help!
check the size of the picture ...it's a limited upload size.

Well it is exactly like the last onbe I uploaded! hmm, I will try something different, oh by the way...If I were to become a member does it say how much memory space you get?

I've had problems uploading too. Sometimes it'll go to a white page and just sit there, with the image in limbo forever. I've currently got around 14 sitting in limbo and they won't upload.
This happens on XP and Vista, with Firefox.
We're in the middle of migrating to a new image system; so we're not actively supporting the old version. The most common problems is that the image size (KB) is too large.
I'll review it again ... but I assume that's what the problem is.
