The keys are like, right next to each other.
get_1 on Day 5. I did follow the crowd on this one for a while, but changed my vote close to the hammer since I didn't believe get was truly mafia. He has a habit of not making himself look guilty (as do I apparently).
I don't know if I just got praised or insulted...:rolleyes:
And why can't games be open during this period of the day right now? THIS is when I am awake. Gah!

Do these people fast-forward to the last 10 minutes of a movie when they watch it, too?
(Not specific to any one game. It just drives me nuts when I see almost all the people have claimed by like, Day 3-4 or so.)

I never said you have a history of false roleclaims, smarty pants. But you are very clever at making us assume you have a role that you really don't have, or having an alignment that is different than what is reality. So technically you aren't lying, but you CAN be deceptive. ;)
But seriously, when like 80% of the game has claimed relatively early... it's boring. A lot of the fun goes into mystery. Granted, there's some false claims to be had, but depending on the source material it can be pretty difficult. DS9 springs to mind, considering all the claiming that was going on by like Day 2-3. :ermm:
(And I won with the town there, partly because I kept my mouth shut until the mafia decided to force a lynch on me. Hehehe.)
I dunno. Maybe I'm just getting burned out on playing.

Well, I'm going to GenCon Wednesday... access will be sparse for me now that we're in the endgame.
I mean, I didn't think it would be an issue when I first signed up, but I figured I'd be dead by now. :p
(And I won with the town there, partly because I kept my mouth shut until the mafia decided to force a lynch on me. Hehehe.)

It helps if you have a mafia member that can force people to vote for a certain person. :p
I was being pretty quiet and low-key as the doc in that game... and then the mafia (apparently I was jailkept a few nights they tried to kill me) came out and forced 4 townies to vote for me. :eek:

And to say it's frustrating is an understatement. I don't like it no matter what side I'm playing.
I mean, really, if you're just going to do THAT, why bother playing and read some Wiki pages about the game's theme instead. :tired:
I'd still like to see a "theme" game in which the players know their ROLES but not their CHARACTERS. That should allow the GM to have a LOT of fun with the write-ups, and make the game entertaining for all the players.

After reading this I no longer feel bad about lynching TBB is Loki's game not in the least

Another Night One death!
I was going to have a lot of fun in Scrubs too, I only got the chance to say Turkleton once:(
I love being lynched when I am not on and on vacation and told certain people that I was coming back Friday night and then certain people turned on me to lynch me before I got back on.
I WILL remember this all and certain other people know of this....cause I still have cell reception and called people when I was told via text. So eat it.

On to my vent. My subscription ran out today (still no double donor days :() so if anybody has tried pming me lately, they weren't able to.
But now my inbox is emptied.
At this point, I'd actually like to see this thread and a couple others closed, simply because nobody can control themselves anymore.
People continually think that they know best when it comes to what you can and cannot say when you're dead, not realizing that this would be SPECIFICALLY why you're not allowed to make dead posts in game threads.
I'd say nearly half of the posts in this thread alone are something that could be utilized in-game. And that's so shocking and unbelievable to everyone here, I'm sure, that it pretty much explains why we have this problem in the first place.

Really though, not much is going to work if players insist upon breaking the rules. (q.v. Yosip, et al.)
I try to play every game completely independent of all others, and I may incorporate "meta" knowledge (player habits, vendetta) into a game but I always try to avoid bringing it into the thread. (I think it also happens to be a good "tell" for mafia members :devious:)

Personally, I like option 2 best, but that ain't gonna happen. Not on this site. We have a nice consequence-free game system going on here, where you can cheat and break every mafia rule there is, and still get to play in as many games as you want. It's awesome. :cheeky:

Because of the nature of Heroes (and everyone can talk to everyone via PM), you all have NO idea who or what I am talking about. the only people who do are the people involved and Rokk because he is dead in the game and we can chat. Not exactly. There's a situation that this would work in.
A mod runs a game and doesn't put any mechanism for resurrection into it and sets up a proboard for dead players to convene in. He/she doesn't tell the players about this proboard until after they die, when they are sent a PM with the proboard URL.
Genius. I think it would be a lot of fun.

Dead players may only communicate with other dead players. If the GM discovers that a living player has benefited from secret game information being passed to them by a dead player or non-player, the living player will be replaced and the dead player’s (if any) score will become 0. Please do not try to cheat.
