The Meteorite
The Tombstone

shield disruptor is the best special object in the game.

Dynamostat
Tombstone
Shield Disrupter.
Good thread!

Structural Integrity Field? I've only used it once but it's amazing against Starro and Galactus.
Other than that, I really like Shield Disruptor. Mass-Absorber is nice too, if you have a lot of Super Strength using figures on the team.
What, no phone booth? Aw man...that's the only one I use!

Of the options I'm most likely to use the Vine, but that isn't very often.
Roughly more frequent is my use of the Phone Booth.
The Kinetic Accelerator is all right, I've used it before and likely will again.
Since I play alot of non-flying street level character I am always using Aerial Baffler, Shield Disruptor and Force Field Generator. With some strategic object placement my vigilantes have a much better shot at handling some big powerhouses.
Laser Turret
Meteorite
Eleha'al Vine
I love the kinetic accelerator. I didn't even know what we were playing for when I won it.
It is the only LE cardboard that I truly like besides Warbound.

The Vine and the Tombstone are 2 guaranteed SO from me. I've recently used the Kinetic Accel. to great effect.
All of them...it is situationally driven.

WACKY WEED!!!! I love using Eleha'al Vine. I played this with Dark Knight and he racked in about 600 victory points by himself. Love this thing!
I also use Kinetic Accelerator, Tombstone, Shield Disrupter.

Gotta love the special heavy objects.

Meteorite
Shield Disruptor

It's funny you only wanted 3 because that's how many I picked. A few of the others are used at various times but those are much more frequent.

Other than the tombstone, laser turret and meteorite, I don't think I have EVER used any of the other cardboard objects.

Laser turret: always
kinetic accelerator: always
sheild disruptor: very occaisionally (helped me take down WF)

Oh, I didn't read the post first, so I just voted for all the ones I use ever. Which ended up being all the ones on the list I own minus Dynamostat. The ones I don't own on the list are the Force Field Generator, Tombstone, Stepladder, and Meteorite.
If I had to pick three that I most often use from the list, it would probably be the Vine, Aerial Baffler, and Separation Field Generator. Though if we were to include ones that aren't on the list it would probably be the Vine, the Dark Cauldron, and the Comm Dish.

One of the players at my venue usually plays three laser turrets.
I've never used special cardboard objects before.

I love an Aerial Baffler/Kinetic Absorber or Open Fire Hydrant combination to put a stop to those flying hypersonic characters. One time one of my opponents TKd (R) Shazam! right in to the middle of it, thus preventing him from making his full move Hypersonic attack. At the end of his move he landed within range of a Shield Disrupter which then prompted me to lay waste to him. It was a glorious use of all my objects.

Yeah, well all special objects are unique and you cannot run duplicates. Not that that would stop some venues!:cross-eye ;)

Yeah, three Laser Turrets are a no-no. You can only place one blue ring object of a type, and only one blue ring object per 300 points.
Tombstone
Step Ladder
Metorite
Gotta love the special heavy objects.
Thanks,
that is exactly the same three I had.
Here is how/why I use them.
1. Tombstone: Some of the older figures with lower starting defenses get a nice +2 to their defense. Magog is a great candidate b/c he can also use the heavy object in his attack.
2. Step Ladder: I use this because its fun and strategic. I like to place it in front of where I think my opponent may place a stealthed sniper. Then I can send any figure up to the roof top to deal with them.
3. Meteorite: I have used this just a few times. Its fun to use with a secondary attacker with SS.

Yeah, I love me the Kinetic Accelerator. My other standby tends to be the Laser Turret. Though I have been known to use the Meteorite when I know a lot of bricks with Fortitude are going to be coming out to play.
The Vine I only really use on Tentpole teams, and occasionally the Tombstone, but I'm not that fond of it.

Yeah, three Laser Turrets are a no-no. You can only place one blue ring object of a type, and only one blue ring object per 300 points.
And you can't use more than 3 special objects per player, period.
If you play Debris, you can't replace your 6 objects. Maximum is 3 and then the remaining 3 (in this example) have to be regular objects.
Meteorite and Tombstone for me, 'cause I don't have the others. :p

Kinetic Accelerator can amp up the Chargers that I love so.
Stepladder is clear Hindering for movement. Gotta love that.
Laser Turret is classic, but really, I love the light objects more than the heavies, effect-wise. So when the pulls go my way, I play an aerial baffler. I don't use much super strength or flight, so heavies are a waste of my life, and aerial baffler amps my team.

You left out the Fuel Tank, A must for any of my teams with Super Strength
I actually don't use any special objects. I wouldn't be sad at all to see them go.

No love for the Fuel Tank?
Lead & Tin crippled a Rip Hunter mesh with one on the running shot.
Parallax can wreck those nasty stealthers ten squares away!
I use the Tombstone, Meteorite, and the Comm Dish, Newsbot, and Generator pretty frequently. I used to use the Mailbox and Streetlamp as well, until they want and retired them. (If not a lot of people having them is an issue, why don't they retire all the chase figs and LE cards?) I don't own any of the other clever little items other than the Aerial Baffler, but I almost always have fliers, so I don't use it.

Mass Absorber & Dynamostat are fun together.
Telephone Booth is always handy.
I haven't used it yet, but I love the Broken Hydrant.

Force Field Generator - that its requirement is you be adjacent to it (not on it), and there is no limit to how many times it can be used, makes it far more potent than some players realize. A couple well placed second stringers can push the button and cover your entire team.
Separation Field Generator - with the brick wrecking power of Meteorite I'm surprised this object doesn't get more attention as a counter.
Laser Turret - rather iffy on this one, its got some neat potential but usually opponents destroy it if it could be a problem, or avoid its short range.
Tombstone - a good substitute for the desk, and getting your opponent to burn an action with a chump attacker to crack the tombstone is always fun.
Shield Disruptor - over rated, whenever my opponent has placed this object anywhere it might affect me, I've destroyed it as one of my first actions.
Eleha'al Vine - the only "always pack it" object on the list other than Force Field Generator. Its hindering terrain for your stealthers / snipers, a light object if you have to use it, and a 0 cost emergeancy medic. Its practically a no-brainer.
Meteorite - probably responsible for more one shot tentpole figure KOs than anything since Firelord carrying Firelord. If you're playing a figure with Invuln or Imperv and you're not packing this and/or planning to deal with it, you're stepping into the ring with your gloves untied. Frankly I'll be glad to see this one gone, I don't think any object that makes an attack penetrating damage should also *add* to the damage done.

Except that force field generator has 0 range, so the barriers must all be adjacent to the character using it...

I don't use any. I haven't built a theme team lately that made sense of them, so I don't bother.

And this is news how?
If you haven't figured out how to get a pair of figures next to the FFG to drop a 5 or 6 space wall, you haven't tried hard enough.

The real question is, can you rally your team behind said characters in a constructive way? I prefer myself to have 4 barriers (from any 1 barrier fig) to place barriers wherever I may need them at the time, rather than at a set point on the map.

Come on, you can do better than that.
Drop it one space away from the edge of a roof, near a corner, for a defensible sniper perch.
Put it about 5-8 squares up from your starting area as your initial advance position before a TK strike (with Hypersonic or Running Shot hitters the net distance is about perfect to the other edge of the map). Its like a free Protected for your initial staging zone.
Put it in the back area near the Vine, so you can have a throw away figure (pog, perhaps) cover a wounded figure while they heal.
I've done all of these, and a few other uses. It costs all of 0 points, and being immobile its not going to be ripped out from under you and used as a weapon. If destroyed, its still hindering terrain for your Stealth pieces. And if it ends up you never have to use it, you've lost what exactly in your team potential?
If your major objection to its utility is you can (additionally, I might add) include a figure that takes up part of your team build to provide Barrier that you still might not get much use of (Krakoa, Atlantis Rising, etc), you're way missing the point.

I honestly can't remember what half of these do. I picked Laser Turret, simply because I think that's the only special item I've ever seen played before.

Keep in mind you can only put in 12 choices for a poll. So these are the 12 I chose from this list:
Force Field Generator
Dark Cauldron
Teleport Pad
Kinetic Absorber
Separation Field Generator
Laser Turret
Aerial Baffler
Fuel Tank
Trapped Dumpster
Mass-Absorber
Opened Hydrant
Dynamostat
Kinetic Accelerator
Tombstone
Shield Disruptor
Eleha'al Vine
Stepladder
Statue
Meteorite
Satellite
I just figured that these were the most commonly played is all.
Since the 3d Desk was retired, I find I use the Tombstone the most of any special object.

idve marked the teleport pad, if i had one! i use all the items, just depends on the team which one i go for.
Meteorite, Toombstone and the Vine here....
Would play Shield Disruptor more if I had one though :)

My favorite light object was not on the list. The kinetic absorber. With all of the hindering on maps now it is like having another heavy object on the field.
How about none-of-the-above!!!!
I rarely use special objects except in sealed or just random ones that happen to be in my box.
For me:
Laser Turret (I love this thing!)
Meteorite
Tombstone
Stepladder (you would be surprised)
:devious:

Meteorite(though only against certain people anymore)
Tombstone (but I lost it)
Kinetic Accelerator
But really my favorites are the Spec. Objects that increase attack by one. I almost always need a boost.
