Real people in mafia games?

In my next games I am using a few real life people in it as characters and was wondering what the general feeling of that is viewed as opposed to the usual totally fictional characters.
I also am concerned as one of the real people i used might provoke a bit of controversy here in his role even though it is meant in tribute

My next game is made entirly from real people. Just none of them are on the site, and I'm not using last names.

I put the deaf Linda from Sesame Street into the game and didn't let her read the thread sicne it represents speech among players. No one ever batted an eye.
