SNEAKING THE SNEAK PEAKS
SECRET INVASION STYLE

So, in an effort to help further some buzz on the new set coming out and to give some hints of what Critical Hit will be debutin on Wednesday or Thursday (and to give something to do this weekend). We at Critical Hit have come up with a Crossword puzzle that contains the NAMES of all the feats that we will be showing off. This is the NAME only and does not say what the feat actually does, but you can at least theorize.

So enjoy the Secret Invasion Crossword Puzzle.

If you want to print out the crossword puzzle, Copy it and paste it to a microsoft Word document.

Before you look at the thread to figure out what goes where and just get your free sneak peaks try and do the Crossword, it at least gives you something to do :)

Archenemy bases don't exist anymore, so Vendetta can't be the same as before. Healing Factor could be an updated Auto Regen. That would make me happy. Camouflage is probably a re-print. I'm curious what Alias will do though...

It fits, but if 1 down is Infiltrate, 8 across is probably Loner, not Alone. I had that wrong first time around. But 8 across is 5 letters. Not 6, as someone else has commented on here. Thanks for the rep though.

My guess with Healing factor is that it will be Regen without the -2 to the roll. So, you'll still take a power action but it's a more powerful regen.

Healing Factor seems like reprinting autoregen - or similar to in some way - a benefit to regeneration.

Camouflage is a reprint (hopefully). YAY! I love that feat.

Infiltrate might be like Sneak, but better.

Improvise seems like perplex prerequisite and may grant some form of a re-roll (Lucky Break of some sort?) - If I'm really lucky and if Seth loves me it will be vault or pummel or both (GO 50 point Spidey! Knock those dopes around!)

Invigorate could be like nanobots, but requires an action token or else something cooler?

Spotter is probably another stealth nerfer - or a way to counter shape change.

Disassemble might be another go at dismantling keywords or team abilities.

I would think things with the same name would have the same effect. Camouflage will still be Camouflage.

Healing Factor will be something different. I love the idea of rolling and you get what you get, but I doubt it. I'm thinking its a free action but a minimum of 1 (because WK still insists on screwing the power on the PAC by refusing to add that digit :angry: ).

Vendetta has me stumped. I would say it has to be similar to the original but what keywords or TA's are clearly against each other. Its got to be "choose a target opposing figure that costs X..." kinda thing. Its actually a good way of mixing up victory points. Right now its easy to have either the exact same points each round or, if you play someone who underbuilt their team, be behind the entire tournament.

Infiltrate - Stealth or possibly Shape-Change based. It could allow you to see through opposing figures, but not friendlies. Maybe it is similar to Sneak (a great feat), but what could they add? A free action move first of half your speed?

Improvise feels like a token-card. When this happens a few times, stick a token on the card. Then use the token to modify the attack roll. Seth loves the extra tokens...

Invigorate - gotta be a boost to Support. Maybe dropping the -2 part? Hopefully it will be pricey enough to keep it from being a must-have, if that is it.

Spotter - I think you are right. A way it could work would be getting to use this figure's location to make a ranged attack. You can then perch someone on elevated to give them lots of LoF for your team - I guess it may require 2 figures (minimum) to use a la ICwO.

Disassemble - Anti-objects and terrain? Using this feat lets you remove a wall or blocking terrain without leaving hindering terrain? Or maybe its just a way that figures with low damage can destroy stuff.

Alias - Shape-Change, increases the chances of success to 4-6?

Loner - some kind of modification to combat values when friendly figures are 6+ spaces away from this figure (or some such thing).

Very interesting and exciting. I've always loved feats - so bring them on!

nice guesses all, but what if....as in similar to the comics.... the puzzle inside the puzzle is the real answer....take a look at most of the reprinted cards from the old sets...new wording happens. cost's don't change....

bfc's have new art or not in dc case....
but afew new ideas are great... auto regen was sorely missed....that stoped a cluster of clix from seeing the board every week..
With cardboard working with the white powers and having a cap on points of feats per build total is changing the game.....now I won 3 protecteds and don't use them...I traded 1 away for a inside information,a much more usefull card....cards bend but they don't break......thak rock for all the watershed ideas that bud up from an old gamer like me(I'm 6 years older than you) and make the kids go"What is a crossword puzzle?"

We're closing in on when the info'll be released, but until I know which ones are going to be available in boosters and whether or not any of the others will be handed out as participation items, I refuse to get excited or even speculate on how each will operate.
