Hey all, quick question (and I *could* take the time to create a WotC login, but...)
What's with the Dual Classing feats? Am I understanding it that once you take the feat you can pick the utility/encounter/at-will/daily powers from either class? Or does it just give you the stated bonus.

07/27/2008, 20:23
I haven't quite figured out the dual class stuff..
Is everybody Ok with 8-8:30 CST tonight to start????
Vagrant and pbdeberry are needed too.
I'll be gone next weekend so if we don't make it tonight then we need to shoot for either Tuesday or Thursday this week

Lastly - As Thawmus said we need to establish a set date and Time to do this each week or every other week.
Sunday Nites seem to work the best so far so I would propose Sunday's starting between 7:30 CST and 8:30 CST Ending at 11:30
Well, carp. I didn't see the notice.
Judging from the budding population of zero in the Vent lobby, I'm guessing tonight's a no-go?
Hey all, quick question (and I *could* take the time to create a WotC login, but...)
What's with the Dual Classing feats? Am I understanding it that once you take the feat you can pick the utility/encounter/at-will/daily powers from either class? Or does it just give you the stated bonus.
You first have to take a multiclass feat (and have the prereqs). That feat gives you its stated bonuses. For example: I have a taclord and I take Arcane Initiate. I receive Arcana training and I can use 1 wizard at-will power as an encounter power.
Now that I have the wizard multiclass feat, I am eligible to take the other "power swap" feats (provided I am of appropriate level). For example: the level 4+ power swap feat is for encounter powers.
If I took that one at level 4 I could opt to lose one of my warlord encounter powers and gain a wizard one of the same or lower level. Lev 8 is the same thing for utility powers and 10 is the same for daily.
You can take any of these feats that you want to, as long as you have the appropriate multiclass feat.
However, if you choose to take ALL of them (multiclass feat, encounter swap, utility swap, daily swap) then you are eligible to go full-on multiclass INSTEAD of taking a paragon path at level 11 (but you don't HAVE to do this, you can take a paragon if you want to).
If you choose to do this, INSTEAD of a paragon path you: 1) swap a "main class" at-will for 1 at-will from your multiclass (when you hit 11th level) 2) learn an encounter power of 7th level or lower from your multiclass WITHOUT having to swap anything out (when you hit 11th level) 3) learn a level 10 or lower utility power from your multiclass without losing anything (when you hit 12th level) 4) learn a level 19 daily from your multiclass without losing anything (when you hit level 20)
Remember though, even if you take all of those feats, you can still choose a paragon path instead of taking the full on multiclass benefits.

I'm available.
Well, I'm now not available. A distant friend of mine just let me know he'll be in town tonight, so I'll have to make my first no-show. :(
Sorry, folks.
Hmm, maybe we should try for tomorrow? that would work better for me....

I am available in about 30 minutes...
Tomorrow is a no-go for me. I have to try to sell a house to a Mr. Misenar.
Next week I head to GenCon, so I would love to try to get together this weekend. Maybe Sunday?
Well, my friend is in town until Friday, so I really won't be available until this weekend.
Sunday, I'm going to be shooting skeet (first time for everything).
Saturday works best for me, as of the moment.

Bad news: I didn't go, because I got roped into doing a software upgrade tonight. So I'm at work until...whenever I get done. I don't think I'll be home until around 10 or 11. :(
Oh, and I didn't get to shoot today, that sucks too. I was looking forward to that. :disappoin

I am still in there like swimwear.
Let me know when you guys want to stab some stuff.
I'm still in...not sure when...um how about this weekend? like in the afternoon or something? I'll be watching the kiddies, so maybe we can get a few hours playing while they're taking a nap. ;) Either Saturday or Sunday would work for me.
I'm still in. Like Vagrant, however, I'll be mostly unavailable until next week, around Thursday or so.
As I told Stepp before, though....you guys can't keep waiting for certain people to be available. If you guys can come up with 4 players and I or Vagrant can't show up, you should just run a session anyways, just to keep the game flowing. That's why we have more players than we can really allow in a single session, in the first place. But that's just my feeling on it.

Apparantly it is available through NetFlix if you don't feel like purchasing.

Not a game. It's a movie.

Don't worry about it. It's not like before the Hurricane you were starting a brand new profession or anything. ;)
Wednesday night or sometime on Sat/Sun works best for me.
Tuesday and Wednesday nights are kinda bad for me, since I don't get home late. But since we've got Pacific timers, it might not be so bad. It might not even matter.

Hey, call me lazy but this thread is 37 pages long, am I right in assuming that this is a D and D game that someone is running online?
I would say to check the first couple of posts to get the gist. Basically, this thread is here for Realms folks to hook up and play online D&D. So far, we have had one group take advantage. Thawmus set up a Ventrillo server for use and we used RPGTools as an online map.
Tons of fun. All of the specifics are in the first post, I believe.

Of course, looking back at that first page and seeing such a long list of 'interested' players, I am amazed that Tanis, Thawm and I were doing most of the actual playing while Stepp DM'ed for us.
Of course, Vagrant King gets honorable mention for showing up in time to take out the Wurm Priest and the dragon. ;)

I agree completely. It's awesome.
I would PM Stepper (as he is DM) and let him know you would like to join up. There is room as we are basically a 4 man group that usually has only 3. :)

Plus...you know....pet class. Maybe this will make Thawmus play with us instead of his keyboard. ;)

Halfling or Drow with the "dodgy" rogue build are nasty as hell. I have the Forgotten Realms book, and there is another potential nastiness in there. Check out the "Intelligent Blademaster" feat. Lets a swordmage use Int instead of Str for melee basic attacks. A Human Assault Swordmage with 20 Int and that feat is just disgusting. Maybe I'll make one and join with you guys as a guest character or something.....

You're right, that is a nasty Combo...I played Sunday night, and used my Daily (I think it was trick strike) and rolled a natural 20 and getting my sneak attack, doing 34 damage to an Orc and I put him down. It was awesome. Love the Drow Species encounter powers though...they come in all kinds of handy.

Martial Power has a new build for Rogues. Ruthless Ruffian, which allows you to use a mace or club as your 'light blade'. Plus, when you use a power with 'rattles' as a keyword, you add STR bonus to damage. Really good for one of my players. A Draconic rogue with 18 STR. :)

My DM: "You pull a quiver of arrows off the Drow."
My Buddy: "Are they poisoned?"

No. You wanna hear good? We are playing 'Keep on Shadowfell' and we have gotten to the main dungeon at the end. We have had 11 encounters in there and had to take 4 full rests. There are 6 of us.
Why?
Well, the DM is totally cheap as hell. Last night we faced 5 lv 3 Hobgoblin Warriors with 4 minions and a big spider. The Hobbeys are supposed to have 47 HP (I checked after) and a couple of them absorbed at least 60 HP. The minions? I Thunderwaved two of them for 10 HP. They lived. What the hell!?!?!?!
Needless to say, when we moved on to another encounter and somehow had another group of baddies come up behind us, we weren't shocked. Two encounter groups at once? He's horrible. We only lived because he then switched gears and started dropping 47 HP Hobgoblins after a single Thunderwave. You know, cuz I'm an idiot and can't count, or something.
When that adventure ends, so does my involvement. :cross-eye

Haha, that's rough. See, I get where he's coming from though. Trying to adlib as he goes, making the fight seem more 'real' (though, from a completely skewed point of view). There's gotta be some push and pull. The ideal system is like 20% good guys slaughter, 20% bad guys slaughter, and a solid 60% of hard fought even-ness.
But yeah, that's kinda silly. I'd try roleplaying him into confession. "Why were these later goblins clearly weaker against my thunderwave? blah blah blah, and then go on some adventurous tangent where you try to find the source of the 'Thunderproof Goblins'.

Okay, just a refresher on a few things about RPTools, so I don't have to worry about this so much:
1. You need a server. No, that's not me. Anyone can serve. In an actual game, the DM should be serving. For testing, again, anyone can serve.
2. Depending on your ISP, your internet IP address may change regularly. So if you serve, you need to check your internet IP again, before you give it to everyone to connect.
3. I do own the Ventrilo server. It is still up and running, and that IP does NOT change. Ever.
4. Please, pretty pretty please, make sure we're all on the same dev build for RPTools. I still have the same version we had when we last had a game. If anyone's updated theirs, they need to speak up, so we can all get to that build. Because that's another headache we need out of the way.
Now, barring any more technical problems....do we have at least 4 for tonight? I'm in, but I don't get off work until 7 PM CST.

On another note, Thawmus...can you email me so I can see if I can help get this Chracter Builder out to Stepp somehow?

So, I'm getting off work soon, and since there's been no talk today, I'm operating on several assumptions:
1. We only have 2 players for tonight, including me.
2. We all have the same build for Maptools.
3. everyone's tested their connections.
Correct?
:cross-eye
I hate to say this, but this pretty much sounds like my last 3 DMs, Stepp obviously excluded.

You are better off doing that anyway. :)

When do we want to do this again? I could be free Thursday night. I'm going to go workout after work, so I'd be ready about the time Craig usually gets off work.

Thursday would rock for me. I could be good to go as early as whenever. :) I may have to break long enough to pick up my son around 6 pacific, but other than that I'm golden. Day before my birthday even, so my wife will probably not make me feel bad for ignoring her for the night.

Okay, so I think it's a fair assessment that Stepp won't be running another game for some time, here.
Given that there hasn't been any discussion for months, I feel that it's safe for me to ask: Who wants to play some D&D?
I'd be willing to DM again, and give my campaign another go. My vent server is still paid for until August. I'm up for either 3.5 or 4th editions.

Taking the conversation from the Xbox forum...
I totally disagree with Gentlegamer. I love 4th edition. Full disclosure, I was not an AD&D guy and started with D&D at 3.5. However, I had played many roleplaying games over the years.
I love the pacing of 4th...I love how easy it is to DM for. The combat may seem more 'video gamey' but why is that a bad thing?
Maybe I'm just lucky, but I have a group of 5 players that have been coming to my house about 3 times a week for the past 6 months. They are having a great time and are just about to 7th level. What's wrong with that?
I'm definitely torn between DMing/playing, as well as doing 3.5/4th.
There's pros and cons with each.
But I agree about 4th edition. They definitely have a more controlled approach to the game, that has a lot less potential for rules-meistering. I very much enjoy the WoW and Book of Nine Swords touches to the game, as well.
I think part of my love for 3.5 still is that it's such a diverse game now, thanks to the thousands of expansion books. There's a gazillion races and base classes, as well as prestige classes, and there's lots of different options to choose from.
4th just isn't at that point yet. It inevitably will be, but not yet.

I would agree completely with most of this. I think the only problem with 3.5 is that it's less of a "team game" than 4E is currently. Though right now I'm in a 4E campaign with a tempest fighter (me), a sorcerer, and a bard, and it works pretty well.
But as far as online 4E goes... I'm game for whatever, really. Though I would prefer to play a bit more to get a feel for things before I tried to DM anything.
(Working on a campaign seed, but it's taking a bit more time than I thought.)

It's sure is getting there quick. If you haven't already, download the trial of the Character Builder from wizards.com. You will see how many races and classes you have options for now. It's just astounding.
Also, in comment towards building your character to fit the party. I had my group all build randomly without knowledge of everyone else. We ended up with a great group that totally lacked healing. It doesn't matter though, because I can plan for that as DM.

Plus there's enough diversity you could just say "I'm a defender" and have crazy options for races/classes to go with there.

While I know nothing about either of those, so I have nothing to compare them to. :)
While I know nothing about either of those, so I have nothing to compare them to. :)
They're GISH classes.
The Beguiler is an illusion/enchantment caster that's also a skillmonkey like the Rogue. He has a large spell list, and he levels up his spell list like a wizard does. He's terrible at combat, but he makes up for it with crowd control. And I don't mean he hits people with some AoE damage. I mean he controls the crowd. He's pretty much the ultimate battlefield commander, able to strategize out a fight on the spot.
The Duskblade is a heavy armor wearing, full BAB, wizard. He channels nasty nasty nasty evocation spells through his melee attacks, causing him to dish out lots of damage. His spell list is also pretty diverse, allowing him to handle a lot of different situations. The Duskblade is still currently the top dog when it comes to damage dealing in 3.5. His only limitation is that he's, well, limited. He has a large spell list, but he only goes up to 5th level spells, and has a very low number of spells he can cast in a given day. So what he makes up for in the "Wow" factor, he loses in surviveability and consistency. Which is why I like him.
There's pretty much nothing in 4th edition yet that does what they do. Yet.

Hybrid Rogue/Wizard for Beguiler and possibly Hybrid Fighter/Sorcerer (or Warlock) for Duskblade. At a guess, anyway... they did release beta versions of the hybrid (as opposed to multi) class rules for Insiders.
I don't think it would be exactly right, but it'd end up being pretty close, depending on your power selection.

What do hybrids do?
I have to look at the preview again. It's something for PHB 3 which would come out in about a year.
It seems that instead of simply taking a cross class feat to get another classes power as an Encounter, you end up splitting your choices.
Normally, you get 2 At Wills, 1 Encounter and 1 Daily.
If you make a Rogue/Cleric Hybrid, then you pick 1 At Will from each and then choose the Encounter and Daily as you see fit. As your progress, you have to balance out the choices (which seems kind of lame, but could easily be house ruled) so that if your 1st level encounter power was for Rogue, the 3rd level power must be Cleric.

I agree with Thawmus about the 3.5/4.0 thing. What I loved with 3.5, was that I could come up with about any concept and make it work.
Heck, I made a dual crossbow wielder. That guy was awesome :D, all Cowboy themed and hard assed...:D
4.0 just feels bottle necked. You choose race, class then....just kinda work within your class. Of course with roleplaying, you can do about anything, and this will inevitably get better with time, but that's just how I feel at the moment :D.

Do you currently play 4.0?
I ask because I don't think this remotely applies anymore. With only the first Player's Handbook? Yes.
Not anymore though.
4.0 just feels bottle necked
That's EXACTLY the problem. I couldn't find the damn words to express it, but boy, did you nail it. :)
4.0 is very restrictive in nature to what you can and cannot do with your character, and your character build. Which is something I don't really like about it. Of course, it is very much like a video game RPG in that it is restrictive like that, but...yes....Bottlenecked. That's a perfect fit for how it feels.
Now, don't get me wrong, that can be just as much a pro as it can be a con. And we all know that the pros are pretty evident: Teamwork, less rules BS, everyone is more capable, etc. And those are things that are important to me, and make it so that I can easily enjoy a 4.0 game.
But, sometimes I want what works best for me. And the only true way to do that is to have the variety that 3.5 offers.
Like I said before, I'm completely indecisive when it comes to 3.5/4th. I like them both equally.
Do you currently play 4.0?
I ask because I don't think this remotely applies anymore. With only the first Player's Handbook? Yes.

I'm looking through the classes discussed on WOTC's forums, and I'm seeing 4 additional classes to the ones in the PHB.
I'm curious as to what you're talking about.
da-Craig-O
04/15/2009, 17:18
Case in point:
There are 29 races to choose from currently.
18 character classes.
Nearly 100 Backgrounds to choose from, with variations among them.
Add to that the fact that each class has differing build options and the combos are pretty extensive.
The differences between a Human Tempest fighter with a 'Birth - Among Other Race' background and a cross class feat into Rogue and say, a Dwarf Battlerager Vigor Fighter with 'Society - Noble' for their background is pretty extensive. While they are both basically 'Defender' class, they would play very differently.
That doesn't even touch on Hybrid classes, which are new and upcoming.
I'm just saying that if what you want is deversity, it's there.

Have you had a chance to check out the new classes yet? I wondered if Swordmage was a bit of what you were looking for.
Also, I have a local guy that is not on the Realms that may want to join any online gaming madness.
I haven't checked out the classes, no.
I'm much more concerned at the moment about DM status.
I think it's safe for me to say that, outside of someone here being completely unemployed and single, that I have the most free time out of any of us to DM.
My problem is that, while I enjoy DMing, I like playing more. And on top of this, my experience as a DM is very limited.

I am currently unemployed and single, since I moved here to Minnesota. How long either state lasts is up for debate. :)
My problem is that, while I enjoy DMing, I like playing more. And on top of this, my experience as a DM is very limited.
I think that is everyone's problem with DMing. I don't have much experience with 4E, but I'd also rather play. Perhaps we could work out a "rotating DMship" of sorts? I wouldn't mind doing a Forgotten Realms campaign.
Well, I've been thinking, and....
I should not DM.
In case you haven't seen the thread in AR, I'm seriously considering joining the Air Force at the moment. And if I do, you won't see me for 2 months, for sure. From what I've heard, Air Force guys work 40 hour weeks, so maybe I'd have free time after that, like I do now. But then, I'll probably be halfway around the world, and you wouldn't want me to be hosting a game then, anyways. Who knows what technical issues I'd run into?
So, while I currently have the free time, and I'm willing to do it, in light of some life and free-time altering decisions coming soon, it'd be stupid for me to do it.
I'm going to talk to my friend this weekend. He had a campaign that we were enjoying at one time, and then had attendance problems. I'll see if he's interested in running it online.
Well, it's been 3 months since my last post here.
Obviously, I'm not in the Air Force, nor do I plan to join.
My friend is actually starting a 3.5 campaign today for some of us locals, so I'm pretty excited about that. I'm going to be playing a Wizard for the first time. Man, that is one hell of a pain in the ### to character create. I'm really looking forward to it, however.
Is anyone still interested in a 4th edition campaign? Either DMing or playing?

I really liked playing online with you guys. However, I am DMing one game locally and playing in another. I don't think I can squeeze in one more, especially with the time difference issues.
Sorry.

So, I figured I'd bring this up here, rather than find some random ### forum online to post on, but I need some suggestions:
Me and my girlfriend are going to join a 3.5 campaign with a bunch of friends of mine, who I've played with extensively. Our DM has made his own unique world, which is very similar to Forgotten Realms (go figure).
My lady is really getting into the aesthetics of her character. She -really- wanted to be a Tiefling. Alas, there are no Tieflings in this campaign (yet). And we're level 1.
So, my question is: What would be the easiest/most economical way to get her permanent goat horns, rectangular pupils, and indigo hair (and possibly a prehensile tail)?
She is somewhat against illusions (though i imagine illusory pupils may work). She wants to be able to actually -have- horns etc.
So, things that I've thought of (usually to no avail):
1)Alter Self (can't make permanent)
2) Draconic/Demonic Grafts (Can't at this stage of the campaign.)
3) various races (none that I've found will work in the campaign. Limited to the core races, Aasimar and Genasi)
4) Just sewing horns on her face (she didn't like that idea)
The easiest thing I've found so far is: Fire/Air Genasi/Moon Elf (for hair), 'Permanent Image' for eyes, and Marvelous Pigments for the horns.
Can you guys think of anything better?
(Also, I figure you guys will get a kick out of this: I got to design my own prestige class for this game. It's effectively the Dragon Disciple prestige class from the core DnD, but instead of Half Dragon, he'll be Half-Stone Golem. There are a few tweaks (No magic immunity, maintains intelligence/constitution), and he gets the option to go back and forth between his Stone Golem form. His name? Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin. The Prestige class is tentatively called: 'Colossus' :D)

What's the DM got against +2 ECL races? Or are Tieflings +1? Can't remember now.
Honestly, short of Polymorph Any Object, I don't see how you're going to pull this off, at least, not to either her nor the DM's liking. Tell her it's a long range goal, and to play a Wizard or Sorc.

Only +1 :)
Okay, I'm considering running a game.
I don't know if it'll be 3.5 or 4th. It's not going to be that mega-ultra-campaign I've got under my belt. I'm going to use a preconstructed adventure, and see if we can get through it.
I'm currently thinking about Sundays, because those are usually my best days for this stuff.
The application I'd like to use? Google Wave.
It was just opened up to the public yesterday, so you no longer need invites. I'd like to give a try, because a lot of the tools we'd want to use, are already there as extensions. All you have to do is sign up on the website, and load the extensions.
I'm still playing around with the tools, but thus far, I'm really excited about what we could do with this. And it runs out of your browser, which means we don't have to have these long nights of, "Hey, did you load the right version? No? Okay....we'll wait. Aw ####, my server quit. Maybe tomorrow night?"

But those were my favorite parts. :)
I would be very interested in trying this.
I'm trying to find a map tool. There are drawing tools on there, but nothing that comes with a grid. All I want is a grid.

Just telling you ahead of time, I'm leaning toward 4th. While I like 3.5 a whole lot, it'll be a lot easier to give this a test drive with 4th, since it is 100x simpler.
I'm currently looking at this:
http://forum.rpg.net/showthread.php?t=489291
but it doesn't appear to be working at the moment. I commented on their wave about it, we'll see if I'm just stupid.
The nice thing about this, is we can decide if we're going to do this live, or over time, or both. This thing is the bastard child of instant messenger and forums.

So uninstall it, and put 3.6.3 on, like the rest of us. You don't even get prompted to install 3.7 when you have 3.6.3
There's a reason for that.

A map, followed by some business tools I'm trying out, followed by a die roller.
The map, I believe, takes some time for you to see, on your first time. Just stay on the page for a while.
Okay, everyone who's trying it out, please install the "Bones" extension. That's the dice roller. Check it out in that wave, and tell me what you think.

Perhaps I need a screenshot. I'm not sure if it's just not loading right, or what's going on. I thought it would be fairly obvious, but maybe something's not working.
I was able to add Dax, btw, since it was obvious who he was, but there's a slew of people in there now that I don't know, so I haven't added anyone to my contacts except for him.
Maybe just PM me who you are, so I can add you to my contacts, and invite you to a new wave.

I might be able to get in on this if you need me. It just depends on if I have my own DnD games on Sundays :p
Yeah, I have no idea when I'd be running this, ATM. Personally, Wednesdays are a terrible night for my current offline group, and I'd like to see it get changed to a Sunday or a Monday or something. And that might be happening rather soon, so we'll see.
I don't intend to start a long campaign. I want to do something like a preconstructed dungeon, so don't get hyped up about your characters' progression or anything. This is pretty much going to be a test drive, to see if we can get a working system. If you want to keep your characters for if and when we go to something bigger, cool. If not, that's cool too.
It will kinda give you an opportunity to test drive certain races and classes, too, I suppose. And if you're new to 4th, it'll be an opportunity to learn, as well.

I will be home in about 3 hours. I would be happy to 'playtest' with you.
Okay, Fighty+ looks pretty good and clean, from what little I used it. I need to grab a different map, though, because if that's the one we're using, I'd prefer not to show you everything.
Kinda seeing some pros and cons between the two battlemaps:
Battlemappy:
Pros:
1. Can reveal only what I want you to see.
2. Endless space for drawing more terrain, if the party wants to do something I'm not prepared for.
3. Markers for different sized creatures.
4. Marker colors, so that I can differentiate them.
5. If you're not currently editing, and are looking around the map, you can always click "return to shared view" to get back to where we're all at.
Cons:
1. Doesn't seem to load right away for people. Not sure what's up with that. After you've finally loaded it for the first time, it automatically loads EVERY time, so once you get past that barrier, you're fine, but it is a little infuriating to look at blank space for 5 minutes, thinking it isn't working or doing anything.
2. Blase' terrain- white space, nothing more.
3. Speed- While in some cases, this will be faster than Fighty+, in others, it will not be faster. Namely, drawing the terrain, when the party moves through rooms. Perhaps this is something that would improve with practice.
Fighty+:
Pros:
1. If a map is available for the adventure, I can use it.
2. Can have pretty terrain.
3. Seems to load immediately immediately immediately. Harumph harumph harumph.
Cons:
1. Speed- Gotta copy an image out of the adventure's PDF, if there is even one available, create a gif for it out of GIMP, upload it to MapLib, and then load the map.
2. Revealing - Nothing keeping people from panning around the map, and peeking.
3. Only one color marker, and one size. That sucks.
4. No shared view mode.
At the moment, the lack of markers alone is leaning me toward using Battlemappy. I'd appreciate it if those of you who haven't checked out the Wave, and are interested in trying this, would take a look. At the very least, I'd like to see you all add a marker to the map, and put your name on it.
I should also add that when I play face-to-face, it's almost always markerboard or a drawing mat. I haven't seen someone pull out terrain tiles in years. So, as a player, I'd be totally fine with the whiteboard approach, as opposed to having real terrain. Not sure what you guys think.

As a DM I use both (love to spend that money) so I can go either way. I wouldn't worry too much about having 'the fog of war'. We are all there to have fun so I don't know why we would peek or at least meta-game. We aren't playing against you. At least I hope not. ;)

I'm not worried about Fog of War, so much as that I have no control over what you can see. As in, you could see the whole map, even if you don't want to.

It's really not the biggest point of contention for me. I'm more focused on ease of use, and how fast I can get something going. Battlemappy wins in that regard.

I don't mind the white board approach...I used to play with NO map for Players. Only the DM had their map and only told Players the layout.
Maps do, however, make combat infinitely easier.
I will have two-three days this week where I will be hard to reach. TUE-THU seem to be out for me, especially nights.
I can probably squeeze in Monday night.
I could still use some more testin' out of people. Thus far, Craig and Dax are the only ones that have edited the whiteboard. So....that's two people that I know will have the foggiest idea what's going on if we decided to get a game going.
.....that's a hint.
Should I make a new thread, so that I can have an OP with links to the stuff you guys should be trying, and stuff?

I only got on once so far, sorry been pretty busy these past couple weeks :-/ should be able to check in on things probably by Friday...
BTW, I am not dead-set on DMing. Just in case someone really likes these tools, especially after we run the test adventure, or if they want to do something similar so that we can play online: If you want to DM, speak up. I'd rather play, than DM, if and when we go full-time with something. I'm just reading through stuff on 3.5, and really regretting that I never played a Bard in 3.5, never got very far with a Druid in 3.5.
I think that's what hangs me up with 4th. There's still a lot of stuff in 3.5 I'd like to do as a player, and have never had the chance to do.
Hell, I'd still like to play a straight Fighter, with BoNS stuff thrown in.
