I really love the Invaders so I plan on using them as much as possible throughout the Secret Invasion Events....especially since I have more interest in the current book "Avengers/Invaders" than Secret Invasion anyways...
So I'm wondering what people do to make these pieces effective.
Pretty much everything you need for Invaders is in Avengers except for the New Namor which I'll be getting 110%.
With him being 150 points everything else I want to use for floor is up in the air...
So for 150 points with a 30 point feat cap...what would others use?
I doubt I'll use Cap & Bucky because they don't have the TA that works so well with Namor's many 18 defenses.
US Agent is really good but with Namor having no range it'd be wasted Enhancement.
Besides that I have no clue what to use...maybe US Agent & Toro to look like Marvel's Golden Age Big 3. But then what would I use for 11 remaining points?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Toro is a great start, since his ranged attacks compliment Namor's brutal close combat. I'd also throw in Spitfire for a good stealth busting HSS piece who shares a decent 17DV up front, and who could taxi Namor if you wanted to eke out a little extra movement.

Don't forget to check out Blazing Skull & Union Jack.
For floor I'd prolly go with Bucky & US Agent to fill in with Namor. Other than Toro you won't find range heavy figs.

Union Jack is one of my favorites, but I've had tremendous luck with Spitfire + Armor Piercing. Almost single-handedly took down Sentry.

I'll second Union Jack with a little Armor Piercing. Works great with his EE.
For total theme fun, I do agree with Toro and USAgent for a 'Big 3 feel'.
So I'm wondering what people do to make these pieces effective.
As with many comic theme teams:
1) Map Choice
2) Special Objects
3) Battlefield Conditions
Min-Max teams tend to rely heavily on deep lines-of-fire: Outwit, Perplex, Prob Control. You can minimize the effects of these by playing the range-limiting BFCs (currently legal: Shrunk, Deep Shadows) or by choosing maps with limited lines-of-fire: Anti-Monitor, JSA Museum, the Lab.
I've somewhat lost track of which special objects are retired :noid:
Another BFC I've been packing is Skyscrapers. We have a serious infestation of rooftop campers (not seen since the days of 4-corners) and I like to have it to limit those options.

you might take a look at the new human torch as well. he can fly namor out to battle and is not a bad piece for 85 points. dual target 8 range.
and bucky if you use the remaining points for your feats.

union jack or thin man if you are not too big on feat cards would round the team out nicely.
i was caught between the idea of these two teams..

this team basically is trying to making sure every attack you make gets there. contingency plan will help toro make up his av difference when attacking higher point figs and the camou on thinman will help keep him alive. and alias to make namor a bigger nuisance!
as for bfc's i like resistance because it goes well with the defenders TA..

U.S Agent 75 +5 warbound
Toro 64
=299pts
this team would be focused on abusing the warbound and having Namor lay on the hits while Toro shoots away.. toro can also make use of U.S Agents enhancement.. basically a abuse the U.S agent team :)....

Unless I'm missing something, you cannot assign Warbound to just Namor and US Agent. Warbound needs to be assigned to all figures with a chosen keyword, and as far as I can tell Namor and USAgent only have the Invaders keyword in common. As Toro also has the Invaders keyword, he must be assigned Warbound as well.
You could assign Warbound to the All-Winners Squad keyword though, which only Namor and Toro share, but that is kinda pointless as that would only allow you to transfer tokens from Toro to Namor, not the other way around.

I agree, the new Torch is a steal for his points. Good defenses, consistent (not great, but consistent) attack values, and dual targets to hedge your bets.

A bit on the nose point-wise, but man oh man you can't top that thematically.
