Well, we have a PSP Thread here, I figured I'd open one for the Nintendo DS players amongst the Pinoy Clix Players.
Last Saturday, in between rounds in the Nationals tourney I found out there are some Clixers who are as rabid as I am when it comes to NDS games (Patrick, Antonn, Marco and Mikey). If there are others out there, post your thoughts on this thread.
Let me start off by talking about the games I'm currently playing:
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney - I love the Phoenix Wright games, and this one being the 4th and most recent installment, doesn't disappoint. Investigating crime scenes, talking to witnesses, listening to and finding holes in testimonies and presenting evidence to break the testimony apart during cross-examinations, it's all really good stuff. It's a really good series that exercises the grey matter and is backed up with intriguing and intricate stories. :laugh:
Final Fantasy Tactics A2 - The first Tactics Advance on the GBA was good, and this one amps it up to 11 with more races, new job classes, a lot of new weapons and skills, and guest stars from both the first Tactics Advance and the Final Fantasy XII games. It's a really good strategy game to tide me over when I'm unable to play HeroClix (this and the Advance Wars series). :laugh:
Kidou Senshii Gundam 00 - What can I say, it's just fun and easy to pick up even when in Japanese. If you like the show, this game is worth trying out. :grin:
Megaman Star Force Dragon - It's like a remix of Battle Network, so I still have mixed emotions on this one. I'd be surprised if I can actually finish this game all the way through as Battle Network has gotten stale for me personally after the 3rd sequel. :rolleyes:
Trauma Center 1 & 2 - Playing Doctor using the touch screen, the story is kind of cool as well. Operate on patients within a time limit (usually 5 minutes) while battling strange diseases and viruses that are very lethal and hard to destroy. :classic:
Mario Hoops 3 on 3 - I hate sports, yet I'm enjoying this game a lot. That's pretty darn impressive. :grin:

here's what im playing right now:
final fantasy tactics advance 2 - this is surprisingly long compared to the first one.amusing nonetheless.but the new system with the laws (you're bound to it while your opponents isn't )is very annoying.
pokemon diamond/pearl - ive played most of the pokemon games, and i have to say that the ones that came out for the NDS are frickin awesome.my only comments would be there are too many legendaries in these two games.oh and since im using an emulator i really couldnt enjoy the touch screen features of the game.:tired:

Hehe here's what's keeping me busy nowadays:
1. Digimon DS Dawn (Got myself a level 66 Omnimon now (Transcendent sword rules):cool: Surprisingly though Magnamon is really weak for an ultimate level...:ermm:)
2. Bleach the Blade of Fate (Passable dubbing, gameplay's pretty good though. Byakuya is best for cheesy gameplay.:cheeky: Supers are a pain to pull off though. Ichigo's really annoying when he's in his Bankai...)
3. Bleach DS 2nd Kokui Hirameku Requiem (Uruhara rules! No seriously he's fun to play as. His attacks involved ururu, jinta and tessai. One of his supers puts them all on the screen and it's just hilarious. Oh and he has a wicked counter move that when broken damages the opponent.)
4. Megaman ZX and ZX advent (Yes i'm a huge fan of the megaman line. ZX follows where Megaman Zero for the GBA left off. If you liked the gba game before this, give this a go. It's not like the old ones though that let you choose among 8 bosses in the main screen. It's got quests and all. Pretty engaging.)
5. Kidou Senshii Gundam 00 Dynames Sniping the target...:p (Or virtue's GN field:laugh:)

No just wait for the ps2 version to come out. The DS one kasi doesn't cover all of the story of the series. The PS2 one follows it more closely but is scheduled for release, earliest october or november of this year.:ermm:
The DS version is just really fun to play.;)

If you're looking for a good DS emulator that would also play the video of the games, try the no$gba emulator. Back when i was looking for an emu to test games i stumbled upon it. The thing is the latest version, you have to pay for. You could try looking for the most recent available one. (I know GBA yung name but it does play most DS games.)
WOW at nung sat ko lang din nalaman na marami na pala tyong players na may DS!
So far enjoy ko mga CAstlevania games sa DS Dawn of sorrow and portrait of ruin and also coming soon order of ecclesia!
Kakatapos ko lang laruin ung Final Fantasy 4! Hanef na game to!
Magstart palang ako sa Final Fantasy Tactics A2.....

I only played Castlevania: Dawn Of Sorrow but haven't completed it yet because other games keep distracting me. :nervous:
As for the Bleach games, I have the Blade Of Fate, but I couldn't get myself to enjoy it most likely due to the fact I don't watch the show/read the manga. As far as fighting games go on the DS, the only one I'm enjoying is Dragon Ball: Supersonic Warriors. "Galactic Donuts!"

The GBA version was annoying, especially all the laws that limited tactics in some battles, but hey it was loads of fun. NDS ought to be better.

yea, it's basically the same.problem is, your units are the only ones affected by the laws (although there is no more jail time like in the gba version) and the laws can sometimes get pretty absurd (ex. missing with an action is forbidden..seriously..:tired:).
these kinds of games really make me miss the PS1 tactics.:(

You don't really have top be Ninja class to be able to dual wield right away. Level up a Hume Soldier and get him to the Fighter job class. There's a weapon you can get for that class early in the game so you can dual wield. :classic:
Regarding the laws, I hate the one where Knockback and Critical Hits are forbidden. It's not like those are easy to avoid. They just happen. I kinda like the new law system because it ramps up the difficulty level a little. It means I'll be playing this game longer.

hmm..i think you're referring to the fighter's doublehand ability(lets you equip 2-h swords in one hand only).with the ninja's dual wield ability, you can equip both hands with weapons (knives, katanas, 1-h swords, rods), kaya you can make two attacks in one action (think flurry sa clix).it also works with reaction abilities (counter and strikeback).plus with two weapons, you'd be learning abilities twice as fast.

Oh yeah. Hehe. Woops. I've already restarted my file, and while I haven't caught up to where I was the last time, I'm still faced with the same problem: I need another weapon for the Thief that will give me the fourth Action type skill I need to master so I can transform to the Ninja Class. :cry:

if youre looking for the an ingredient para sa dual wield na sword, try stealing loot from the 4 kings.tandaan ko dun ko nakuha yung sa kin eh..or wait for a mission, yung ragetsu-denbu yung reward nya.
actually i advise finishing up quest 10 (mountain watch) and quest 11 (grounded) then hanapin mo ung 2 missions na nag bibigay ng screamroot at ng low arcana then u need a gun gear to get the katana. sa alam ko the quests are: wanted tonberries (dito ung low arcana) at ung wanted florah (dito ung screamroot) ung wanted gilmuto (dito ung gun gear). you just need to finish them (kahit sumablay ka sa law nya ).
so far ung party ko consist of adelle (ninja) cid (gladiator) isang black mage, isang sniper, isang dragoon na ginawa ko munang whit monk at ung bida ko ngayon ninja din (tinatapos ko pa ung dual wield lintek 990 ap!!! )

you will need these loot items:

keep questing and try to acquire law bonuses and try using loot lvl 1 (adelle has this) took me awhile to get the rondel (actually i did not get rondel rather i got a higher level dagger (swordbreaker) which has loot lvl 3 in it and needs 300ap!! (pinawisan ako d2)

same here.malayo na ko bago ko nakuha yung rondell, as well as the jambiya (steal accessories).anyways, if you want a shorter route with learning abilities, hanapin mo yung clan trial na may bonus na clan privilege: ap 3.that will make the AP you gain after every battle x3.
combined with dual wield, ambilis mo malelearn lahat ng skills.
yup totoo yan! hehe lvl 43 na ako ngayon at pahirap na ng pahirap ang laban (parang bale wala ung lvl ko ata haha) so far 3 char ko na ang may dual wield.. :)
try nyo din ung auction ang saya! nakaka tense pag sumablay ka haha (ang daya ng duelhorn clan! )

Yeah, okay nga yung auction. Once you master all the areas, you win rare items. So far I only mastered all 3 areas in the Camoa auction house, and 2 in Graszton. Moorrabella isa lang ata. Mahirap basahin diskarte ng ibang clan pag minsan, pero masaya.
i have acquired 3 rangetsu katanas hehe (1st thru bazaar, 2nd sa auction at ung 3rd sa isang treasure chest sa isang quests swerte!) hehe ang maganda sa dual wield same weapon equip mo para doble ang speed ng pag gain ng skills!

Antonn, I'm sorry, but I just can't stand Megaman Starforce. I'd rather play the Battle Network games. Give me 5 good reasons why I should spend time playing this series. I'll just have to go with the ZX series for my Megaman fix.

Starforce? HEck i don't play that. After ZX and ZX advent there haven't been any Megaman games worth looking into.:laugh:
Right now i've rediscovered Ultimate Spider-man for the DS, also i've started playing the Star Trek Tactical Assault game, dunno if it'll be worth the time though...
Oh yeah Digimon World Championship is out but uh...it's not that great. It puts more focus on tamagochi style raising, played it for a bit but it got really repetative...:ermm:
What i'm waiting for now is the New starwars clone wars game for the DS. It's supposed to come out novemeber of this year.

SONIC! The last game i played with sonic was the one for the GBA. Ala rumble , i forget the exact title though. Nice Mikey, this one'll be an RPG style eh? Ala Mario RPG ba siya?
There's another game i'm waiting for, the force unleashed for the DS, this month na release and i'm already excited.:p
Oh and there was nothing wrong with sega. Back in the days of the Snes, sega genesis and the ever popular game gear (The first colored portable gaming console) sega boasted several games that just couldn't be handled by the Snes. Haha i was actuslly surpirsed later on when i learned that Sonic the hedgehog games were coming out for the GBA.:laugh:

Nice. I only played the GBA versions of Sonic, and never really got into the character as much as I did Mario, but if it takes an RPG to get me to like Sonic, then I'll give this a shot when it gets released.
At least you had the genesis. I had to wait till I was college to catch up on all the SNES and Genesis games via emulators. Never had any of the 16-bit consoles. ;)

i think you'll like the RPG thing they're gonna do.. parang legend of dragoon.. kung maalala nyo yun. me turning based xa pero me timing yung mga mga combo na malulupit. 10 characters yata e or 11. so i think it's gonna be cool. hahaha..

Oh yeah...but seriously, since ffta2 is exactly the same as ffta, ug...white mage isn't the best to use, unless you're only after the healing skills like, Cura, Curaga etc... Personally i'd prefer a character with items. May Summoner ba na class pa rin? I used to love the reflect ability granted by one of the summons. I've yet to DL the game what with work pilling up. That was my favorite class next to Fighter and hehehe templar.:p

CHRONO TRIGGER! OMG I SPENT HOURS ON THAT GAME!:grin: I loved the combo skills and of course using Magus.
From the screenshots and the movie clips, it looks like it's a n actual port from the old Chrono Trigger. Wow! For the DS.
I've heard of the Kingdom Hearts game for the DS as well. From what i know It won't be a story for Sora or Riku, but that of Axel. I'm surprised though that Rocas is still in the game. I thought he was a clone-like copy of Sora.:noid:
DS has a really good lineup of RPGs, btw I downloaded and tried sigma harmonics.. games fun hoping for an early translation, oh for fans of the castlevania series order of ecclesia is coming out late this year! and YES chrono trigger!! who could ever forget!

wahaha, same here!i love the ps1 version nung valkyrie profile(although di ko nakuha yung good ending..) as well as yung sa ps2! as for chrono trigger, bring it! go magus! :devious:

Marco, sa valkyrie profile meron ung combo ng 2-5 characters sabay sabay parang gangbang feature... hehehe tignan mo dun sa website nya ung gameplay movies hehe astig!

May Summoner ba na class pa rin? I used to love the reflect ability granted by one of the summons. I've yet to DL the game what with work pilling up. That was my favorite class next to Fighter and hehehe templar.:p
Meron pa ring Summoner. Seriously, even if it is very similar to the first FFTA, it's a little harder because the laws only affect you, not the computer controlled opponent. It's still fun.
Chrono Trigger - I'm not entirely sure, but I believe that was the first RPG I finished, EVER. I spent a lot of time on that game and enjoyed each moment of it. My favorite characters aside from Crono: Frog and Magus. :laugh:

Hmmm... Mas grabe pa pala ako sayo. I'm using the DS WHILE I work. I have the special ability to properly evaluate my agents' calls while working on a case in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney. :p

I was at level 25 when I first tried taking on the Red King. Now that I'm restarting my file, I'm waiting till I level up significantly before taking on the kings.
BTW, may maximum level ba mga units? like up to 100 lang? I'm too lazy to check Gamefaqs. hehehe.
lvl 99 ang max level for this game. Well to be honest mahirap paabutin dun because wala masyadong quests that allow us to take on bigger badder tougher group enemies, usually isang boss lang na mataas ang level. but im skimming through the faq baka may makita akong secret quest or something for this

actually, dito makikita yung isang flaw(or at least i think na flaw)sa ffta2..mejo stupid yung AI kuminsan.the red king keeps on hitting the same charcter over and over.ang ginawa ko lang equipped everyone with the item ability tapos hintayin yung papatayin nya.reraise, repeat etc.i also have a monk, fighter and a thief sa party ko..the monk and fighter keep on hitting with air renders(yun lang, nasa 20+ max lang bawas ko hehehe) while the thief steals gil(5000 ata) and loot.
oh, and as for leveling up, quests and random battles lang talaga(unlike sa ps 1, from level 1 to level 70 kaya sa isang laban lang, hahaha).you could try out this tower, brightmoon tor sa grazton ata yun.it appears once in a while, di ko ri talaga alam kung ano andun, haha..tried it once, pero di ko na tinuloy..decided na saka na lang pag la na ko ibang quests..

I haven't played it yet. I heard it's just the original RE from PS1 with a different control scheme. I don't seem to be into the horror genre as much as most, as I couldn't get myself to continue playing Dementia again.

FFTA2 Question:
What's a good build for a Hume Hunter? I have no idea what to give him as a second skill set. My Hunter is pretty good as is but I just feel like sayang yung second abilities slot. I wanted to make him more versatile.
well personally i did not get the hunter class for hume, skills sucks too much compared to before. As of now i am at lvl 70, I mained the ninja class then a dash of fighter skills (pugilism) also mastered the paravir skills (flair) and finally mastered the paladin class (tough class, especially it adds a lot of def and hp). d nako nag magic sa main char hehe paladin class tapos naka equip 2 fallen angel sword petryl armor at faerie shoes then bone armlets or genji helm :) ung adelle naman halos ganun din build ko pero may splash ng white magic at balak ko buffs. Ngayon gamit ko kac mga named characters sa team ko (vaan, penelo, frimelda, cid, adelle at ung main char, d ko pa nakukuha si mont blanc at si al cid)

I've been playing the new Star Wars game, Star Wars the force unleashed and i have to say, i'm a bit disappointed with the gameplay. Although the graphics are pretty good, similar to that of Gundam 00.
Gian, here's a suggestion, why not use White Magick as a sub-skill for your hunter? I've always found it useful to have either White or Black Magick as sub-skills. Makes them versatile enough as either a back up plan or just for healing without the use of items.
You guys weren't kidding when you said that ffta2 was addicting. I've only been playing it for 10+ hours and i'm hooked. Speaking of which, what's a good skillset for a bangaa to have? I'm currently using the dragoon skills (fire/ice/lightning breath) but i don't know if keeping the gladiator skills will be worth it. Any suggestions guys?
i went bangaa dragoon then splash of gladiator and then white monk then master monk :)
no need for white magic on humes when you get the paladin class you get heals there that dont need mp :) plus some offensive skills to boot (anti undead) also every melee savvy characters best friend is the fighter class beause you get the pugilism skills (air render and aurablast are your best friends in this game IMHO)

I agree with Pat regarding Air Render and Aurablast. They are effective, useful, and not to mention, look awesome when the character performs them.
As for the Bangaa, I swear by the Monk jobs. Gladiators are tough, but I hardly ever use the skills, I'm just keeping my bangaa in that job for now because of the good stat growth.
@Pat: Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is a lot of fun. I played the first few levels but haven't had the heart to finish it yet, though. The controls are pretty good too. They make good use of the stylus and some of the puzzles are really creative.
great after the ffta2 fever I might start zelda next hehe. although i admit getting addicted to ffta2 was worth the gaming experience... :)

depends on the DS you use, if it is the old one get R4, if you are using the new one its called edge. nasa 1.5k php un isa (hinde pa kasama ung micro sd card which ranges from 1gb to 2gb which is cheap sa CDR king at around 400-800php.

Mikey, i don't know how much the retailers in the US will price the R4 card though, You could always try e-bay if you're willing to wait. Suggestion ko, have your relatives here get you one and send it to you. Might be better really.:noid:

It doesn't matter which DS you have, as long as it is inserted in the NDS cartridge slot, not the GBA cart slot in the bottom.
The R4 is the ideal one, it's easy to use and you don't have to convert the ROM files anymore. The ones that are inserted via the GBA slot need to be converted, you see.
Another model you can try for the same price is the NDSTT. I use this one, and it is pretty similar to an R4, but the OS doesn't have the built in Media Player and whatnot like the R4, which is ok if you only use your DS for games.
1,500php is a good price, but some stores here sell it for 2k upwards.
greenhills sells them cheaper, un nga lang u have to know where to get it

This reminds me of when I'm playing Feel The Magic: XX/XY. Do the same thing to the girl there and hear her scream and move away when you touch those areas with the stylus. :laugh:
guys you guys should try this game.. Soma Bringer, originally it is a jap game with no news of an american release soooo this guy I read about in blogs and rom boards actually translated the game (currently at 97%) so just download the soma bringer rom (unpatched) and download this guys patch and voila translated na ung game....

I am having too much fun with Lego Batman. It's such a good timewaster. You can play as both heroes and villains and there is just so much stuff to unlock. What's even cooler is that when you play as either villains, or heroes, they have their own storyline.
When you play as Batman & Robin, for example, one of the missions is you rescue the Gotham Gold Mint from Riddler and Two-Face. When you play the same mission/chapter as Two-Face and Riddler, your job is to get past the guards and break into the same bank right before the part in the story where Batman & Robin start to go after you.
Fun Stuff. hehehe.

Finished Summon Night: Twin Age already. It was a good game, but I wasn't really blown away by the whole experience. Even the story didn't grab me that much.
I just started playing:
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia - love it!
Dragon Ball: Origins - Action RPG with Zelda Phantom Hourglass style controls
Spore Creatures - from the creators of Sims, it's another endless time waster
I'm thinking of giving Luminous Arc a shot before the sequel gets released in December

I'm actually replaying Star Wars Force Unleashed on the DS, with codes now accessible infinite force power meter bwahahahaha (the force combos though are a pain to deal with...all touch screen kasi...)
Aside from that i urge Avatar fans to try out the recently released game Avatar: Into the Inferno. It's not like the previous Avatar games, it's more puzzle solving with element bending added. The characters are all chibis though, but in spite of that it's a really fun game.
(Yes i have a relatively boring DS gaming life:laugh:)

Hey, if that's the kind of stuff you enjoy, I'm not holding it against you. I did see the Avatar game, but since I don't watch the show I haven't tried it out. I really wish there was a new Gundam 00 game though. I can't wait to pilot the season 2 Gundams.
Luminous arc is good just finished it...
right now i'm playing rondo of swords... and stupid R4 won't run my castlevania properly.... it stops midway peste I am still waiting for a fix.....

That's very worrying. It stops midway through the game or just midway while playing? I haven't gotten that far in Ecclesia.
I tried Rondo of Swords when it first came out and the battle system kind of bored me. Maybe when I run out of good RPGs, I'll give it another try.

Please tell me it's not like the Dragon ball rpg of the gameboy advanced, the one where you have chibis playing like legend of zelda but dragonball characters instead...The GBA one was fun at the beginning but the gameplay gets old real fast.
How is it compared to other games? Is it an RPG to begin with or like the fighting games released in the past? (DBZ should always be a fighting game, t's not rpg material:ermm:)

Dragon Ball Origins is really fun. Zelda Phantom Hourglass type controls and nice character models. Watch the intro and see if it catches your interest. The fighting is still pretty good. None of that turn-based nonsense for Goku and his stretch stick.
i am almost done playing rondo of swords... dragon ball nasimulan ko na but will continue it afterwards :)

I hope the DS version has the anime cutscenes from the Playstation version. Because if it's just an exact port of the SNES Chrono Trigger, I'll pass. I still have to get through Dragon Ball: Origins, which for some reason is very difficult. I'm only stuck in chapter 1-3 and there are like a ton of chapters in the game.
I got the first ending for Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. If you don't rescue all the villagers before defeating Albus, you get a crappy ending and a game over screen and you don't even get to fight Dracula or reach his Castle. I'm backtracking like hell to get to the last two villagers.
Oh, and Spider-Man: Web Of Shadows on the DS is the first Spider-Man game I actually liked. Think of it as Castlevania using Spider-Man in both Red&Blue and the Black costumes. Highly recommended.

At least there's a patch for it. The new Star Wars: Jedi Alliance for the DS will work until the profile screen then goes completely blank...:(
I might just have to purchase the actual game to get to play it. Ganda pa naman ng gameplay...sometimes i hate youtube...

Yeah, just update the R4 firmware and most of the ROMs you couldn't play before would work. Also, the newer games that were just released this year would also have built in cheat codes/fixes once you use the new firmware, if that's your thing as well.
Ecclesia is really intersting.. but I am playing it with a little cheat hehe (increased exp gain) it increases exp gained by a bunch but not too much that you level immediately.. makes things a little easier hehe

Ecclesia is by far the most fun I had with a Castlevania game. At least your cheat is just EXP gain. That game is tough. Even just the small fry monsters are hard to kill, even when using the glyph weapon that they're weak against. I just wish they had different screen art for the GAME OVER screen every once in awhile, because I saw that screen A LOT while playing the first half of the game. A little tip Pat, make sure you get ALL the villagers before finishing the Mystery Mansion stage.
yeah I read that part in the FAQs... lack 1 villager and you get the crappy ending UGH!
Yes it is true that this is by far one of the hardest castlevania games I have played. That's why I opted to use that exp gain cheat for a little competitive edge hehe but using those immortality cheats or max level cheats beat the fun of playing na... so konting edge lang haha

And once you're done with Ecclesia, jump over to the Spider-Man game I mentioned earlier. Web Of Shadows is also quite tough. The levels and maps are really from the school of Castlevania and Metroid, while the fighting system is easy to learn but hard to master. Some of the enemies are tough as well. The only flaw I can see from WOS is that by the time you finish the game, you'll be sick of seeing Venom or any symbiote in any form whatsoever.

Yes...it's a big game. I've been doing some research on it as well. So far wala pa atang firmware ng R4 that works with it. Other cards are also experiencing the same problem. Some have fixes for it, but most nada.
Hmm...i might just get the game. I mean some games are really worth it naman.

Finally found the time to finish Avatar Into the Inferno. Cute game until the end haha. More focus was put into the chibis than anything else. But it was a really fun game. I hat Azula, she's the most difficult boss in the blasted game...Ozai was easy compared to her.

Which Advance Wars is that? Dual Strike is the continuation of the ones from the GBA. I actually have an original cartridge of that. Days Of Ruin is a new set of characters, darker storyline, and IMO, tougher gameplay since they modified the CO powers.
Dual Strike is a lot of fun, since you can control one CO in each screen of the DS and you can combine their CO powers for some devastating effects.

First off, it's nice to see a thread dedicated to the NDS. Most guys I know have PSPs which makes me kind of a black sheep where I'm from...
The R4 although cost-effective doesn't appeal too much to me since I like the idea of having the actual cartidge. So that means I only have a few DS games since I have to pay an arm and leg for the carts:
1. Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin
2. Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow
3. Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia
4. Pokemon Diamond
5. Megaman ZX
I've been playing Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia for about 3 weeks now and I've clocked over 65 hours of gameplay. As someone said in a previous post, it IS a tough game. I have played every Castlevania since Symphony and it's only in Order of Ecclesia that I died early in the game. My first few deaths were courtesy of the Brachyura (giant crab boss). -_-' This game emphasizes understanding each enemy's patterns in order to take as little damage as possible. I absolutely love the fact that Konami chose a female character to be the lead character and I think I won't stop until I unlock and finish Level 255 mode. :)

@Jumps_Zilla: Welcome to the thread! I too, had a tough time with that Crab boss. Right now I'm stuck with the boss who has a large shadow that's shaped like a wolf. Evading his attacks is tough. The fact that I'm pretty rusty already with these types of games doesn't help. The DS Stylus has spoiled me on so many levels.

@ samuraigrifter: I see you're a bit stuck on Blackmore. What glyph combination are you using? I normally spam Nitesco+(any weapon glyph, usually Falcis)+(strength/damage enhancing glyph) to kill him. Of course, his pattern IS a bit tricky, so don't give up. :)
You guys should try Mage Knight: Destiny's Soldier. It's a solid translation of the minis game to the DS, right down to rolling dice. (Biggest difference would be the use of a hex map instead of true free movement)

I also bought an original copy of Diamond long before I started downloading ROMs. I always trained them for competitive battling in the GBA and GB versions, not so much with the DS versions since I didn't expect to find any opponents. My builds aren't as competitive as the ones in Serebii.Net, but I'm open to battling as well. :)

When you play online, the WiFi station lets you choose either level caps at 50 or 100 (max) or a free for all mode (any level). It automatically adjusts the stats and levels of your Pokemon provided you've properly trained them.
We can do 3-3, 6-6, or doubles even. Your call. Lemme know when you want to battle. :)
