I had a fun time with this scenerio.
The Hostage Scenario
Selecting the map
The map must have an outdoor area and an indoor area. (The Armor Wars lab worked the best for me.)
Who goes first?
The bad guys get to go first, and they also get the closest possible entrance to the building.
How many pogs do we use?
There needs to be 100 points worth of pogs for a 2 player game and 150 points worth of pogs for a 4 player game. On a 2 player game you need to have 20 pogs on the board and 30 pogs on a 4 player game.
Killing hostages
At the beginning of the round you must declare all of your attacks on the hostages before declaring attacks on the heroes. Bad guys who have poison do not need to roll to kill a hostage with poison; they do however need to be able to damage that hostage with poison. Bad guys who are declaring an attack on a hostage must roll a 5 or 6 to be able to do so. If that character is declaring an attack on multiple hostages, it must roll against each one separately. ( Needs to roll a 5 or 6) If they are able to attack both hostages, then they use the result of the dice roll against both targets. The character must have clear line of fire to all declared targets.
Rescuing hostages
At the beginning of the round you must rescue the hostages before attacking the bad guys. To rescue a hostage, you must begin or end your movement next to a hostage and that hostage can't be next to a villian. Characters with super strength may carry multiple hostages at one time. Good guys do not need to roll dice to rescue a hostage. To successfully rescue a hostage you must remove them from the building. You do not have to end your movement outside, but you do have to go out of the building, drop off the hostage, and continue to use the rest of the remaining movement to re-enter the building.
Declaring a winner
Winners are declared as a result of either force being destroyed or more then 50% of the hostages are rescued or killed.
Give it a try and post some of the flaws and a way to improve them if you can.
