I have a question, and this post-Crisis (number one) stuff has an old hand like me confused.

Were these characters ever on the Justice Society (I'm talking way back, WWII-era first ever superhero team JSA) together on Earth-Two? I think it's called Earth-two now, right?

Superman
Batman
Green Lantern (Alan Scott)
Sandman (#1)
Dr. Mid-Nite

and Wonder Woman?

I don't think we know. Power Girl was on a similiar Earth but I don't know if it is labelled Earth-2 or not. But I'm pretty sure that Earth is the previous Earth-2 we grew up with, the one before CoIE. So in that sense those characters you mentioned were in the JSA during WWII.

None on "New Earth" the history seems to still be the one retconned with the Freedom Fighters in the All-Star Squadron and no Supes, Bats, or WW but still with the original versions of GL, Flash, etc.

In the last JSA storyline before the cancellation / restart of Justice Society of America, written by Paul Levitz, Jakeem Thunder wishes for some smart advice to solve a mystery. The Thunderbolt grants his wish, and (the pre-Crisis, Earth-2) Batman appears to assist him. Jakeem says something to the effect of "Batman was never in the JSA" and Batman brushes that off.

That story took place during the One Year Later time period - after Infinite Crisis and before Final Crisis.

This anecdote basically is meant to indicate that I agree with Zatara - we don't really know.

in the old jsa from the 80's which was set in world war 2, they had bats, supes, wonder woman, alan scott, and dr midnite, but from the issues I have I dont recall sandman being in the lineup

They were before CoIE, but not afterwards. They might be in one of the 52 current universes though.

All those characters were members of of the original Earth-2 JSA before Crisis on Infinite Earths.

After the Crisis there was no Earth-2 and the JSA didn't have Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman (Diana), but it did include the others.

After Inifinte Crisis there appears to be a JSA on a new Earth-2 that once again has all those characters, as well as a JSA on "New Earth" that doesn't have the "Big Three".
