Nutty Sci-Fi Mafia…OF DOOM!

So my interest thread for an SG-1 mafia game didn’t go over so well, but oh how I’m eager to try my hand again at modding, hoping that one of these times I get it right. And so I’m going to go with another idea that I’d like to run.

The theme, as the title says, is Science Fiction. Which is a really wide reaching category. And as the title suggests, it’s going to lack a whole lot of seriousness, plus be filled with doom, death, and destruction. Which I guess really isn’t all that out of place for a mafia game, seeing as so many people die in them anyways.

Anyhoo, I’m planning to run this game at some point near the beginning of January, and half-way learning from my previous two games, I’m not setting up any sort of player quota or maximum, I’ll just leave this open till I actually get around to writing the roles (which while not written out at this point, I have some good ideas as to some of the people I want to include) or until it looks like I have about as many players as I can handle, at which point I’ll start putting people on a reserve list.

So anyone willing to take their chances at another attempt by me at moddem?

EDIT: Naturally, this won't be starting in January now, given that January is nearly over and I'm hoping for more people. So when will it start? Can't be sure, but I'll probably try to start is as soon as I get a number I feel good about.

2ND EDIT: The time is no longer arbitrary! Signups cut-off February 28th! Game starts March 2nd!

So, I'd like to start this game in the early part of January, but I'd also like to have more than 9 players. So what I'm wondering is if you guys want me to set a definite start date and just go with whoever signs up, or should I look for a minimum player range then start whenever I reach that range?

Anyone got any preference?

This game may not start till February yet at this point, but there are still plenty of spaces. That is to say, I'm hoping I can get a reasonable number of more people to sign up so the game is a decent size.

One way or another, I'm making this game happen. So at this point, I'm going to set a sign-up deadline and start date. I'm cutting off sign-ups on Saturday the 28th (of February) regardless of how many people I have signed up (If I have to hold an 11 person game, so be it!).

I'll start the game Monday, March 2nd, with whoever is on the list.

I'll get the roles together and all that, and if something doesn't go terribly wrong, the game will get started tomorrow!
