A Proposition for Players in need of useful clix.

Have you ever wondered if Superman Prime is really worth that much? Or maybe KC Flash? It would be better if you can try them before you buy them right?


OR

Have you ever made the perfect theoretical team and yet lack the figs to try it out during your tournament?

OR

Maybe you feel that others have a competitive edge just because they have the supposedly "Better/Cheese" figs.

What IF!

This is what I propose. Too often have I heard a lot of players asking me do you have jean grey rookie, con artist or maybe KC Flash. I know you guys want them because they are fun to play and competitive at the same time.

So my proposition is:

Rent my Clix!- for a week:)

I have MOST of the useful figs- E2 Supes, Jean Grey rookie TKer, Superman Prime, Sinestro Batman, Gamora, Scarlet Witch SR, Ghost Widow you name it!.

Mechanics:
1.) You can rent any figure of mine for a minimum duration of 1 week.
2.) The Rental fee per week of the figure will be equal to 50% of its perceived market value subject to a maximum of 100php. (i.e. Ms. Marvel skrull is around 80php therefore to rent that clix for a week it would cost you 40php only. E-2 Costs around 6k therefore the rental fee will not be 3k but only 100php due to the upperbound limit. This is to give everyone an equal opportunity to try out the figs at a reasonable price.)
3.) For each time you will rent, you will receive a random non from me FREE of charge! So now you have rented a figure that you want plus get a free fig!:)
4.) In case of lost/broken figures, the bearer shall have to pay 2x the cost not of the figure.
5.) The pricing system to be followed:
Market Value:
Common-30 - except noted otherwise (i.e. ms marvell skrull)
Uncommon-60-except noted otherwise
Rare-80-except noted otherwise
low end Sr's- 100php
Mid-High end Sr's- 160php-except noted otherwise
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
High end Sr's and Chase figs- rental fee is at 100php per week

- this unofficial "auto-win" clix book can win you games and even championships to get that much coveted 1st pick or LE almost any time. :grin:
- strategies includes "dagdag bawas", clix stealin (while your enemy's lookin' the other way), stalling, bad mouthing, how to cheat in a sealed tourney and a special feature on how to smack a newbie!!! :noid:
- be the winningest clix player without shame and rent this book!!!:laugh:

Rental prices vary from player to player and will depend much if he is a newbie or not!!! :laugh:

Let me explain the reason behind what I just posted.


1.) Money was never my main motive. I do not need money for anything right now because I am not looking to buy anything nor am I short of cash.
--> My main motive was always to help out. A lot of new players are finding it hard to be competitive because they lack the figures and sometimes the resources to acquire those figures. What's more is the fact that they are hesitant in spending those resources because it might not be worth it. Take for example buying any high end figure, not every figure is suited to the playing style of any player and therefore would it be worth it to spend my hard earned cash for it? Wouldn't it be better if I can try it out a few times before even paying a hefty sum for it?

--> I just saw a need and sought to help fill that need. This was never a profit driven proposition but rather a service oriented one. In fact, I even stated that I would give away a free non for everytime a player rents a clix for week. Given that the average rent would be around 40-60php and can even go as low as 10 or 20. Where would the profit there be if I was to give away a free non? If you want think of it this way. I sell a non for an average price of 40-60php and bundle it with a free option to rent my figs for a week? Does that sound better? The 2nd is just the converse of the first.

-->I am always open to lending my figures to any player. Back then, I've lent an entire team that is composed of E-2 supes, jean grey etc. to a new player so that he would be enticed to join the tournament. He did join and had fun at the same time. I never asked for anything in return except that my figs were returned after the games and taken care of. And it is still the same today, if someone asks my permission to borrow some of my figs so that he could play I would without even asking for any compensation.

For a week a lot of things can happen and the rent fee is just me assessing the risk of whatever things might happen to my figs. Also if you take a close look at it, the fee that I placed are already low enough so that anyone can afford it. I even placed a cap of 100php.

--> Again I sought to fill a need. and you might not believe that this was my intention in the first place. It is fine with me and am not offended. If you look at it this way then let me use another argument to plead my case.

--> I remember back then before a major tournament, a well respected member of the community also posted this proposition of renting out some of his figures. That person never received any negative feedback from anyone. I did not even view it as a negative thing because I saw the person seeking to level the playing field by enabling other players the same resources or pool of figures as other players as well albeit at a small fee.

--> Now I only applied the same principle and in fact, if I do remember it right my proposition is even more affordable because of my pricing scheme and the giveaway non. Take into consideration that my proposition lasts a week instead of just a few hours of tournament play. I am just curious though why I received a lot of negative feedback when that respected member never got one. Not that I am saying that he is wrong and should be criticized or anything. Just curious how the same thing done by 2 different people would be viewed as opposites.

Yup, very well said...the thing that really separates Clix from other games is that you dont need power figs to win tourneys. There is not a single fig/team na hindi pwedeng kontrahin or pwedeng talunin by anyone as long as you know your pieces and play it well. Strategy over power teams, this still holds true in any Heroclix tournament.
Ive seen Mikey, Marco, Harold and a host of other players using "simple" figs and yet manage to pull off a great performance and even win games.
...Pat is a great example of a guy who can win games using powerful teams coz he knows the figs by heart and can position them real well...Xandy is an enigmatic player who can power a swarm army to unprecedented heights.
Masaya gumamit ng mga E2 or KCs once in awhile coz you have it...sayang naman kung hindi mo gagamitin. But it will never win you tourneys if you dont know how to use it.
Look at the powers and weaknesses of the figs you now have,read the rules, learn to position it and ask the pros for tips and strategies...and keep on playing. That's the surest way to win games and tourneys...for fun or for naught. :cool:

But then again, Xtriker had a good intention here by lending his figs within a week (with the possibility of it being stolen, depreciated or damaged) for 100 bucks...Quite reasonable considering he stands to lose a lot pag winalanghiya siya dito or biglang "mawala" ung player na yun.
But I dont think the guys are ready for this yet that's why inulan ang thread na ito ng comments and pun...but i dont think may nagalit naman sa kanya. Natuwa pa malamang meron...:cool:

about the point of marco. tama siya and somehow siguro sorry narin kung pinamukha ko sa newbies natin na kelangan mo ng mga power figs para manalo. Rest assured tama ung sinabi ni cons na hindi tlga kelangan. :) in fact to support this alam ko may nanalo na ng nationals gamit lang mga martial artist like robin crisis, bronze tiger etc...:)

un lang naman sana lang naman walang nagalit sakin. :)
