You've probably seen the leaked dials for Hammer of Thor, many of which seem to be in draft form - certainly the special powers don't all have an "official grammar" wording yet. For various reasons, my feeling is that this was a legitimate playtester's document rather than a hoax. With that in mind, if people created mods using these dials would you be happy to see them played in your local tournaments? Are there particular characters who you think would be too unbalanced, and others that seem basically good to go?

Some of these tanks are quite unbelievable. Thor, Baldur, Thor and Loki... woah... and then some really good value trouble makers like Phyla Vell, Molly Hayes and the 35 Point Valkyries to run with any Asgardian. The 10-12 ranges in this set... gosh.

I am not sure how to rate the Hammer. It seems many of the models (Ultron, Odin even Air-Walker... ) are in a Godlike league of their own. Thanos is gonna have trouble in this playground.

I'm not calling anything but I sure would love to see what others have to say. I'm pretty happy these guys won't be surprising anyone in a game.

I think ulik will be difficult to deal with. M11 and venus are excellent for their points

Rock Troll - Seven clicks of life for 25 points is really nice; played with the already-decent Ulik and you could have a tuly nasty Charging swarm - they never lose their special power, Ulik will be hard to remove from the game (especially with so many minions) - you can fit Ulik and six Rock Trolls into a 300 point Asgardian thematic team.

Bi-Beast is a strong bargain for 74 points. Strong attack and damage values! The Robots are doing well int his set...

... due in no small part to M-11. Combat values that just don't drop and Indomitable give his eight clicks real lasting power for just 67 points. Starting with Super Strength and moving to Psychic Blast makes him capable of formiddable damage. It's probably worth giving him a Force Field to make those clicks seem longer, or some Automatic Regeneration to get him back into the game.

Balder is great for 115 points - Charge, an 11 attack, Willpower, and Impervious? And he qualifies for Lunge? He's a bargain and hard to KO. Hogun (of the Warriors Three) is a similar close-combat god, with similar stats but fewer powers for a bargain price of 98 points.

Chase Stein is crazy good on any Teens thematic team. He can even carry legion of Super-Heroes characters!

Heimdall could change the entire way that your opponent's team works for 125 points, and is a decent close-combat attacker to boot. Beginning with an 18 defence and Indomitable/Super Senses, he kills your opponent's move-and-attack while having a bit of Charge himself and strong attack values. You could play two Heimdalls on a 300 point team and have fifty points left over - enough for an Asgardian Warrior or a Valkyrie (who can taxi and has Support with an average 10 AV!), two copies of Unstoppable for the Heimdalls, and a Lucky Break or some other 5-point feat. Heimdall's only flaw is the starting Super Senses, which obviously keeps his cost low but makes any lucky attacks very likely to do heaps of damage.

The more I think about it, two Heimdalls and a Valkyrie sounds like a damn hard team to beat. You can't move-and-attack to hit the Heimdalls unless you Outwit them first, and they have a high defence and Super Senses to avoid damage anyway. If you do manage to badly hurt a Heimdall, his ranged defence goes up with Energy Shield/Deflection and he can use Gjallerhorn to summon the Valkyrie over for some healing, plus the other Heimdall if he needs to be defended.
