Back in the late 80s I was in Chicago and there was a Gibson Guitar party (but it may also have been Hamer Guitars) that I was lucky enough to attend. One of the performers was Steve Stevens from Billy Idol's band and he performed with this girl who was not Jennifer Batten. I remember Steve saying that it was his sister and she definitely looked like she could be. She was an awesome guitarist, and I've been doing some research and can find nothing on him having a sister, let alone one that could wail on guitar. Has anyone ever heard about this? It's become a topic here at work and no one believes me.

Geez, I'm having a heck of a time just coming up with a list of female players who were with Gibson in that era. I know that Lita Ford started on them, but I'm guessing that you would have recognized her.

Geez, I'm having a heck of a time just coming up with a list of female players who were with Gibson in that era. I know that Lita Ford started on them, but I'm guessing that you would have recognized her.
I met Lita Ford backstage at a show where she had opened up for Yngwie. I had brought my son (DisturbedChild on the Realms) with me and he was about 11 at the time (either 1988 or 89) and during Kiss Me Deadly, Lita asked the whole audience to sing along to the lyric "I didn't get laid, I got in a fight." and DC asked me what getting laid meant. I told him it meant having a really good time and staying up late. I couldn't wait to drop him back off at my ex's house :) That was actually the show that made him want to play guitar and I bought him his first guitar a few months later.
As for Steve Stevens, it may have also been a Hamer party. The girl whom he said was his sister looked a lot like him with the big crazy hair of the time. Her hair was also very dark, either black or dark brown and like I said, she totally wailed on guitar. I've checked everything I could think of about his family and I've found nothing on her.
Thanks for looking Hail.

Hope you find your answer. Peace out.
Did a little research of my own and couldn't come up with anything. Sorry
