Okay, this time there are no Heroclix questions allowed. You can't ask if the character in question has a HC figure or any other HC releated question.

I'm thinking of a character who eventually had his/her/its own comic book series.

Ah, but KalEl never said the comic wasn't published by Marvel or DC, just that they aren't "a Marvel character" (or DC character).

Is the person still living?

Thawmus

Ah, but KalEl never said the comic wasn't published by Marvel or DC, just that they aren't "a Marvel character" (or DC character).

Is the person still living?

I think that'd still constitute them being a Marvel character, but I don't think we'll get a clarification on that...

Kalel21
06/12/2009, 09:28
Is the person still living?

No.

Recap:

Male, not a DC or Marvel character.
He's a real live person, but not alive anymore.
He isn't from ancient history, because he was alive after the year 1900.
He is not involved with religion or government.
He got his own comic book series, so his name might be in the title.
The comic book is a fictional work. It is not a biography or fact-book.

To the guessing gallery: I'm guessing Mr. T, is that plausible?

wintremute
06/12/2009, 11:04
Kalel: was he a regular occurring character on a television show?

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 11:10
To the guessing gallery: I'm guessing Mr. T, is that plausible?

It fits the current parameters. There was an A-Team comic produced by Marvel, but the Mr. T comics are all Indy.

Kalel21
06/12/2009, 11:12

Kalel: was he a regular occurring character on a television show?

Yes, he was.

11 down. 9 to go. (Okay, okay, I won't count the Mr. T question)

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 11:29
Well, I'll be fair. At this point, I'd be asking if it was Mr. T. So you should just deduct us a question at this point and we'll call it even.

Kalel21
06/12/2009, 11:30
Well, I'll be fair. At this point, I'd be asking if it was Mr. T. So you should just deduct us a question at this point and we'll call it even.

Nah, it's okay. I think I'm gonna stump you all this time around anyways.

My heirs will point out the difference between "your" and "you're".

Thawmus, I missed the whole "the person is dead" part. Mr. T is still alive.

Kalel, was the character a professional athlete?

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 12:52
I have so many good questions to ask at this point, but they're terrible questions for the last 10 questions. :disappointed:

anonym0use
06/12/2009, 13:02
is the person a political figure?

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 13:06

Still waiting for A REAL QUESTION!!!!

The BoyBlunder
06/12/2009, 13:44
Can I get clarification on something without it being a question? Can I ask if you would count a character played by a living actor as a real person? Like, would you count Spoc as a real person? Can I ask that without it counting? Can I? Does this post count as 5 questions? I mean 6?

I won't count them as questions. To clarify. the person is a REAL-LIFE person who appeared in a comic book as HIMSELF.

anonym0use
06/12/2009, 13:52
NOT A QUESTION.

Here's a few real people I know of that appeared as themself in comics:

Hitler.
David Letterman.
JFK.
GWB.

JFK.
GWB.

And we can cross off Hitler, GWB, and JFK. They were all involved in politics.

EXCELLENT question Anonym0use!

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 14:12
But, before you say Vincent Price, I don't see that he had a comic book at any time. Remember, this guy is in the comic book as himself.

Is that a question for me, or are you bouncing it off the other players?

Kalel21
06/12/2009, 14:32
Is it vincent price?

This one I know is a real question, since it's already been bounced off the other players.

No, it's not Vincent Price.

If they're not even trying to distinguish it as commentary between players, just take it. No sense in having to deal with that.

Thawmus
06/12/2009, 14:36
Boris fits the description as far as I can tell. Take a look, people.

Kalel21

We have 4 questions left, screw it.

Is it Boris Karloff?

Yes, CURSE YOU ALL, it is Boris Karloff. He was host of a TV show called Thriller about 1960 or so and "host" of Gold Key's Boris Karloff's Tales of Mystery comic from about 1962 to 1980.

Got it with 3 questions left over.

Okay, so you won't all bow down before me today. BUT SOME DAY YOU WILL!!!!!
