I will hopefully be moving to Vancouver BC soon.
Are there any recommended places to buy comic books?
Where do people play HeroClix? Please tell me there's a contingent of local (and loyal) players!

Officially arrived in Vancouver now. Anybody out there?
Where is the best comic store in town? Where do people play HeroClix?
You might want to check out mysterious-stranger.com, it's the Vancouver forum for heroclix talk and various posters advertise local events. I know Elfsar (downtown Yaletown) has weekly heroclix meetups, and I believe Pastimes in Langley, the Connection on Granville st., and various other shops run events (and I believe they also may have weekly meetups).

Chilliwack? Really?
I've been wondering if there are any clixers out there... I'm in Delta, but my gf lives out that way (Greendale, technically), and I spend a fair bit of time out there. She's interested in learning it, too.
And Pastime in Langley is an excellent venue, well worth checking out, and not too far away from you. Board games galore!
See the already mentioned mysterious-stranger.com for events. But remember the hyphen in the address, or you'll end up on some singles site.
It's worth joining their Facebook group, too...

Just by doing that, you can get up to 30% off on boosters, as well as other deals on stuff.

Chilliwack is NOT in the Greater Vancouver area. I live in Vancouver. Actual Vancouver. When it comes right down to it Greater Vancouver is limited to where our public transit connects to (definitely does not go as far as Chilliwack, let alone Abbotsford or Landgey. As a matter of fact, I had this discussion lately with our inhabitants. It was pretty much decided if it is not within 20 minutes drive of a Sky Train it is so not Greater Vancouver.

Well that's an interesting way to look at it. I live in Langley and somehow managed to complete a degree at UBC using nothing but public transit (it's called a bus, for those who only know Skytrain).
Parts of the Fraser Valley are not in the GVRD. Langley is. My gas price says so.
