I was a huge GI Joe fan growing up. I mean every fig, every vehicle (almost). But of course, growing up means out growing things you once thought were cool...or so I thought.

I was at Target the orther day and saw some figures on the rack while looking for the Marvel U figs. I picked up Snake Eyes (w/ Timber 'natch) and Storm Shadow (w/ mask). These figs are great, even better than the 80s-90s figs. Then I was at Toys R' Us and found Baroness and my favorite...Firefly! He's a TRU exclusive which made it even better that I could find one. He's packed with so much explosive fun!

Anyone else buy any of these?

And yes, I know they remade some of the old figures from the cartoon/comic in an updated style, but the movie has regenerated my interest. Way to go marketing team! You hooked a whopper!

I've also picked up the new Joe figures. While I have absolutely no interest in seeing the abominable new movie (for me, Joe canon will always be the comics and the toys - admittedly, I never even really cared for the cartoon), I think the new figures are quite good. Granted, not as good as the recent 25th Anniversary updates, but very good nonetheless.

It sounds like you've probably picked up some of the better figures from the line in Snake Eyes (you have the trenchcoat version, right?), Storm Shadow, and Firefly. You might also like the new Destro and Shipwreck, and I'm personally a bit partial to the recolored Barbecue, too.

Got Destro and Barbeque...Destro is ok , not too great, but BBQ is rather nice. Picked up a Crimson Neo-Viper as well. I liked Firefly a lot more before I saw a 25th anniversary Crimson Guard with the same sculpt. But it's Hasbro. It's expected. Firefly still rules the accessories Dept.

I got the Snake Eyes Mighty Mugg figure yesterday. Really cool, well worth the price tag.
