View Full Version : The "Make An Allusion" game

I will start a conversation at the beginning of this thread. Each person who posts MUST make the appropriate allusion in his post. His post must also logically carry on the conversation already taking place.


The allusions must go in this order:

1. Star Trek

2. Star Wars

3. Twilight Zone

4. Battlestar Galactica (either version)

5. DC Comics

6. Marvel Comics


EXAMPLE: I post "I won a game of Clue last night and now feel as smart as Spock"

The next person posts: "Well, I beat my roommate in Monopoly last Friday and he nearly went all Chewbacca on me as if I were C3P0 beating him in holo-chess!"

The person posting third would have to add to the conversation with a Twilight Zone allusion. And so on and so on. After the 6th poster makes a Marvel Comics allusion, the 7th poster would start the cycle over again with a Star Trek allusion.


Please end each post with a reminder of what sort of allusion the next poster must make.

I disagree. If we had given the aliens in "To Serve Man" a case of Dr. Pepper, they would have given up their plans to eat humans!!!!

On a related subject--I had lemonade rather than soda with my dinner last night: Just as Jack Klugman opted to play 9-ball rather than 8-ball with Jonathan Winters.

I'm just wondering where all the frakking suggestions are in my game. I worked on my frakking drawing a bit, and my frakking digital tablet doesn't come in until tomorrow. Is anyone frakking enjoying it?

I'm gonna go buy a frakkuchino.

I got it--but Looney Tunes allusions weren't on the list of approved allusions--just as saving Edith Keeler wasn't on the list of approved choices for Captain Kirk.

Just as Luke did not at first understand the power of the Force, so you did not understand that the next poster was supposed to make a Star Wars allusion.
