Hi, I'm not sure if this has been discussed before and if it's an old thread then I apologize and ignore my ranting but I was wondering about any comic book characters that had multiple incarnations during their lives and how awesome it would be to had them clixed as REV's. I'm not advocating a return to the REV system cause I love getting sixty different sculpts under the CURSR system even thou the flexibility in team building under the old system is greatly missed. But anyway, let me give an example. Rick Jones!!! Not including the alternate future time lines Rick Jones or maybe I should......hmmmmm!
Rookie - Bucky

Experienced - Teenage Hulk

Veteran - A-Bomb

LE Captain Marvel (During the time he was bonded with Genis-Vell)

We get REV and all different sculpts at the same time!!!

Characters like Robin don't count cause they were all different people and still was just one character. Another example, Steve Rogers could've been an LE as NOMAD. Maybe?
Am I missing others that I haven't thought of?

What do you guys think? Bad idea? Nonsense?

Nothing has changed-- characters are still "ranked" using the REV system. While most Rookies are Commons, not all Commons are Rookies, and the rest of rarity scheme follows suit.

I think they did this with Jessica Jones....and a few others.

I think Sinister, Origin and Supernova was the only set that featured different sculpts or repaints (translucent/semi-translucent) for each REV:

Marvel:
Jessica Jones
Super Apes
Vance Astro (Vet has shield)

DC:
Mirror Master
Shadow Thief
Shazam!

...and more

Technically, different paint jobs in the REV first appeared in Clobberin' Time. The REV Invisible Girl/Woman progressed from a fully painted sculpt with the Rookie to a fully transparent Vet (and the Experienced was halfway in between).

...and if you don't stick to the strict REV scheme, Infinity Challenge literally started it all with variant sculpts and paint jobs for several of the Uniques that had REV counterparts (U Elektra, Juggernaut, Professor X, Cyclops, Wasp, and Wolverine off the top of my head).

There were also a few other earlier sets that did this, too (like R 'Human' Ultimate Beast vs EV 'Blue' Ultimate Beast in Ultimates).

It is pretty fair to say that it happened more frequently in the last few REV based sets, but it certainly didn't start with them.
