I posted the following at the WizKids site, but did not recelive a response there. I do not normally post to HCRealms, so I hope I have the proper forum for this. If not, I extend my appologies.
I was at my local HeroClix store (Hot Comics in New Hope, for those who live in Minnesota) and I saw some new Bandai figures of Godzilla. Now, I am a fan of Godzilla, but my roommate is one of the biggest G-fans I have ever seen. She also plays HeroClix, and we thought it would be great to create our own Godzilla MegaClix.
We want to buy one of those Mage Knight chariot figures, or maybe one of the dragons, any figure that has one of those long bases with two dials. We'll then pop that figure off the base, and put our recently purchased Godzilla in it's place. Now that we have the figure, the next step would be to make the dial.
Now, I know there are several programs out there to make conventional, small dials, but what about a large dial? We're also thinking of doming something rather unique with the dials. Since Godzilla is so huge, and so hard to take down, we're going to have him span two large dials. He starts on the front dial, and when he clicks through that entire dial you move to the second dial. When he reaches KO on that dial he is done.
I know that people have developed various formula for figuring out the cost of figures, but how would it work on something this size? I know I could just set an arbitrary value for the figure, but it would be interesting to see what the point value would be based on the numbers we come up with.
Any thoughts or suggestions for programs/formula/etc. would be appreciated.
