Build a 500pt force. 4 actions per turn. Players will be using the plot cards found in the adventure packs. You will need to choose 3 plot cards, one for each round. If you don't have plot cards as set will be provied for you before the event.

Build a 400pt force and an event dial. Winner of roll off picks get to use their dial, looser picks the map.

Oct 7 6:00pm 500pt NO cardboard
Build a 500pt force. feats and bystander tokens will not be allowed in force construction. Special objects and BFC can not be used. Theme teams can use either perplex (but not damage) or probability control as part of the theme team rules.

Oct 14, 6:00pm 600pt Capture the flag.

1/20/10, 6:00pm: 500pt Save the hostages Hammer of Thor event.
Build a 500pt with 3 bystander tokens. These BST are not apart of your force build and you cannot use any other BST. When placing objects also place BST as if they were special objects. All figures have the capture ability and must use the capture ability when attacking BST. Characters with super strength can carry up to two BST. You may then release the BST in your starting area for 40 VP.

Build a 1000pt force. Each character can only be assigned one feat. 10% feat cap is lifted for this event.

2/03/10, 6:00pm: 500 pt Unrestricted shock the turtle.
At the end of the 4th round a barrier will start to enclose the battle map and will move 1 square after each consecutive round. If at the end of your turn deal 1 unavoidable damage to all of your figures that are in the barrier.


2/10/10, 6:00pm: 2000pt Unrestricted Hammer of Thor event.
2000pt unrestricted. NO Colossal figures. Once a character is KO’d it is removed from the tournament. Figures will not heal between games.

2/17/10, 6:00pm: 400pt Unrestricted The doctors are in.
Build a 500pt with only one figure with MR or DR in their name and will be called the mastermind. (Named characters whose alter ego is DR or MR may be used. Ie. Victor Von Doom, Reed Richards) That figure has the trait “this figure can use the mastermind power.” The mastermind may choose a bodyguard that is no more then half their point to be at their side. When the mastermind is given a move action they may take their bodyguard along if they start adjacent to each other. If you choose to do so use the lower movement value of the two and use the movement symbol as the mastermind. Bodyguards are not being carried this way so may use actions after tagging along. You may only have one bodyguard at a time and once chosen you cannot choose another until the current bodyguard is KO’d.


2/24/10, 6:00pm: 500pt Unrestricted Team members unite.
Build a 500pt force. Every character must have the same team symbol. . You are allowed 1 wildcard and any number of unaffiliated characters as long as they share a non-generic keyword with one character that has a non-wildcard team symbol.

3/03/10, 6:00pm: 300 pt Unrestricted League Battle, secret formula.
Introduction. Build a 300pt force of 3 or more rookie core Heroes, feats or bst are not allowed. There is a secret formula that needs to be retrieved before it falls into the wrong hands. Place a special token in the center of the map. Any character can pick up the token as following the rules to pick up an object you can however drop the token at any time. TK may also be used on the token. If you finish the game with the token in your starting area you will get an additional 75vp.


3/10/10, 6:00pm: 400pt Unrestricted League Battle.
400pt unrestricted. Your heroes are back for more. Using the same characters from week one upgrade one to hero to the experienced level and add one feat to that character.

3/17/10, 6:00pm: 400pt Unrestricted League Battle.
Build a 400pt tonight you can upgrade two of your core member one rank and can have up to 2 feats assigned.

3/24/10, 6:00pm: 500pt Unrestricted League Battle.
Build a 500pt force. A new face joins the team. Add one more core hero to your force of experienced rank. standard feat cap

3/31/10, 6:00pm: 500pt Unrestricted League Battle.
Build a 500pt force. I need a vacation. Your veteran core hero needs a break from saving the world. Replace you veteran hero with a different veteran character. Standard feat cap

League rules:
Make sure you like the characters on your force as you will be using them a lot of them for the next 6 weeks. Highlander rule will be in effect for the league (there can only be one named hero/villan on your force, any number of generic characters can be used) Each force must be written down for the judge and player’s records.

The judge down at Oly Cards and Comics is a superb, really friendly judge. He's teh best and most fair judge I've ever played under. The group, for the most part, are top notch as well, and a couple of them are my good friends. - Like MindsEnd. He's a noob, but I've known him for many years.

I know Comic Book Ink meets on Saturdays at 5:00 P.M. OCC meets on Wednesday's at 7:00 P.M.... but like you stated, that is a far drive.

There is also Spy Comics and Cards in Federal Way. I've never been there to play HeroClix though, so I can't vouch for them.

July 21, 6:00: 500pt event. I’ve got the power. Each player will place a special token on the map. Special tokens cannot be place within 6 squares from either players starting position. If at the beginning of your turn one of your characters occupies one of those squares you can either remove an action token from that character or add an action token to any other character. If a force occupies both special markers remove all special markers from the map and add 50 victory points to your total.

I am not sure about Seattle itself. I know there are at least 2 venues in the Tacoma area Comic Book Inc. and the Game Matrix. There is also a place in Puyallup but I am not sure of the name.

We are in Lacey Wa. That is about a half hour south of Tacoma. Sorry I couldnt be of more help with the Seattle area.

I rocomend calling the game stores and asking about Heroclix. That is how I found out about the venue I play at.

Dec. 1, 6pm :I will not be around (wife volunteered me for that night) but feel free to come by and get a couple of pick up games. I did say 1000pt so that would be a good place to start

Dec 8 6pm 1000pt event redux. No Feats or BFC. BST are allowed. Prizes for this event. Printed version of the WOS ATA, Dark Avengers, U foes and Outlaws for Champion and fellowship.

Dec 15 6pm : DC75 sealed event. purchase 2 boosters of DC75 and build a 300pt force and lead it to victory. Prizes TBD

Dec 22, 6pm: 3@300. Build 3 different 300pt forces. Play a different force for each round of the tournament. Prizes TBD

Dec 29, 6pm 12 days of Clixmas. 400pt.

Team Build: Figures with red or green (on the sculpt) receive a +1 bonus to defense when attacked by characters that don't have red or green (on the sculpt). Figures that have both red and green receive a +2 bonus to it's Speed value.

HeroClix 12 Days of ClixmasGift Boxes: There are 12 total Gift Boxes; players place them as they would normal objects (we recommend you place a few in the middle of the map). They can't be destroyed and are considered light objects. A character standing on or adjacent to a Gift Box can "take" it with a Power Action. After taking the Gift Box, remove it from the board and place it on that character's card, then roll 2 dice and use the chart below. The character gains the Gift below for the entire game until he is KO'ed or drops the Gift Box; the character cannot drop this Gift Box voluntarily (that would be rude). If that character is KO'ed, drop the Gift Box. If it is picked up again, reroll.

All gifts are cumulative, so if you roll a low number multiple times, it just means you're on the naughty list.

Gift Die Roll: Gift
2: Coal. -2 to Speed value.
3: Rock. -1 to Defense value.
4: Zombie Infection. -1 to all combat values (cannot be less than 1). Character possesses Willpower, Charge, and Steal Energy.
5: Nova Blast. Character can use Pulse Wave as if it has a range of 10. When the character uses Pulse Wave this way, its damage does not become 1 for the attack. Use the character's unmodified damage value for the attack, regardless of how many clear lines of fire can be drawn. After this action is resolved, this character takes 1 unavoidable damage and immediately drops this Gift Box.
6: Protected. Character can use Protected, as per the feat of the same name. After it is used this way, immediately drop this Gift Box into clear adjacent square.
7: Unibeam. Range becomes 8 if it is less than 8. Character possesses Ranged Combat Expert.
8: Jordan's Will. Character possesses Willpower.
9: X-Ray Vision. Character possesses the Superman Ally TA.
10: Adamantium Claws. Character possesses Blades / Claws / Fangs
11: Spider Senses. Character possesses Super Senses.
12: Speed Force. Character possesses Charge and Flurry.

Note: possessed powers can be outwitted and cancelled.

Note: I recommend you carry extra dice and place the dice results with the gift box, for easier tracking.

Dropped Boxes: A "dropped" box is always placed in the same square as the character dropping it.

Each character can only hold a maximum of 3 Gift Boxes.

You can force an opponent (or friendly character) to "drop" the Gift Box. To do this, give your character a Power action and make a ranged or close attack against the target character. Modify your attack value by -2 for this attack. The attack does no damage, but if the attack is successful the target must drop his Gift Box. If the target is holding multiple Gift Boxes, the target of the attack chooses which Gift Box to drop.

Yeah,

For the Mar 30th event i was hoping to run like a Days of Future Past scenerio. I'm going to bring my old school Sentinels and hoping to pull one of the new ones along with maybe a few of the generics.
I'm going to be buying a brick (hopefully) and will be willing to bring other X-Men and Brotherhood related figures for people that don't have any to use. Don't know how anyone else would feel about loaning for the event but it would be appreciated.
Was also thinking of running it as a no dupes on the players teams and prizes to be awarded by most damaged done during the fight or might come up with something else.
The battle will be Battle Royal format. Depending on how many people show up will determine to point total build. So prepare to build on the fly your team, sorry Eric. Hah!

Clarification for the tag team event.

1.) Can you swap a mind controlled character of an opponent's for one of your pieces not on the map? No you can not swap a MC'd character for any other character.

2.) Can the piece switching out be anywhere on your half of the map? The switching character must be in your starting zone or along the right edge of the map from your prospective.

3.) Can the character swapped in be given an action that turn? Treat the swapped character as the original for actions. if the swapped character made a tokenable action then you can not give another tokenable action.

4.) Can the character that was swapped in be given a free action to swap back out, since it's a free action, and that character hadn't used it yet? No Treat swapped characters as the original for actions so the swapped character used that free action that turn.

5.) Are the characters waiting to be tagged in considered "on your force" even if they aren't on the map? Yes they are but see below.

6.) Would abilities like BB045 The Wizard Shazam's "view from above" work while not on the map? GLGF004 Tomar Re's trait? GX008 Cyclops' trait? All traits and power and abilities can only be used if the character is currently on the map unless their trait, power, ability etc specifically says so.

7.) Can wildcards copy team abilities present on characters off the map? No see above

8.) Are points for the characters not on the map awarded to your opponent at the end of the round? No only KO'd characters

9.) How would "tagging in" work with things like the feat "in contact with oracle" if you had removed a piece named oracle at the beginning of the game?If you place Oracle on to the card there isn't a mechanic (including the one in this scenario) that allows her to enter the game. You would essentially be playing with one less piece for your game. In the case of Lazerus pit if you choose bring that character back in he would replace an existing character of your on the map. You can not have more then 3 characters on the map at any one time.

10.) How would pieces that generate pogs interact with the tag rule? Could a player using CA030 Falcon remove Redwing from his base, and then switch the pog for another piece off the map? Only Falcon would be able to tag out. If he tags out remove redwing from the map and place him back on Falcons base.

A few questions bro.

1) I know ranged attacks of any sort cannot be made, but it appears characters with a Range Value of more than 0 can still be used, correct?

2) I know in some of the above games you have listed, it mentions what games allow Feats and/or BFCs. For this game description, I'm assuming that Feats and BFCs are allowed. Is my assumption correct?

3) I'm assuming that Telekinesis can be used, but only for moving friendly characters or objects, since those aren't considered attacks. Just no TK attacks against opposing figures or using objects as weapons. Correct?

4) Which colossal figures are allowed? I'm definitely NOT bringing one, just wondering for reference purposes.

Correct, I believe EmberWild allows PnP, but I believe if you are using multiple of the same card for different figures, you'll have to print that many cards, e.g., Fortitude on two characters, you'll need 2 copies of the card.

The target of the attack is moved to an adjacent square that they occupied at the time of the attack. They don't become adjacent to the attacker. The defending character is "Leaping" to avoid the attack.

I know VGA went 2 and 1 with that Avengers team. He lost the third (and championship) game on a roll-off against Metron, Cave Carson, and 4 AIM Agents (the IH set versions). I know his two giant figure were about to attack a couple of AIM Agents for the win when time ran out right before his next turn started. Clearly outgunned too in all three games, but still made it to the championship game with figures from nothing but Infinity Challenge (4 figures) and Fantastic Forces (2 figures) sets; which the vast majority of the HeroClix community deems as useless and unplayable characters, and frankly speaking, most players don't have the balls to even attempt to play such a team in a tournament setting.

Silver age = all sets are legal. feats only usable on non carded figures BFC are not allowed
Modern age = Until June 1st only sets dating back to Batman alpha, Secret invasion to current set are legal. No feats.

This just in. The Infinity Gauntlet event for May is now NCA Santioned. What does this mean. If you are a member of the NCA all of your matches will be recorded and added to your ranking. If you are not a member of the NCA you can sign up at the event and get ranked or do nothing and have a blast playing Heroclix. Being a Sanctioned event will have no bearing on the outcome of the event so if you have no interest in the NCA you are still eligible for Fellowship, champion and runner up.

On a side note, Mad Scientist and Darth Broski have issued an open tag-team challenge that at the time of this writing has gone unanswered. They have stated that they consider this to be agreement by the rest of the NCA South that they are the best tag team today as they remain undefeated since no one will step up!
