View Full Version : Poison Damage: Impervious doesn't protect?

I may just be abusing the wording here but toughness clearly protects against it:

Toughness
Subtract 1 from any damage infl icted on this character by ranged or close combat attacks, or by super power effects that infl ict damage. Toughness does not reduce pushing or critical-miss damage.

But impervious doesn't seem to protect against it:

Impervious
When this character is the target of a successful attack (either close or ranged combat) Iroll 1 six-sided dice. On a result of 5 or 6, the attack misses completely and the character takes no damage. On a result of 1 to 4, the attack hits, but reduce the damage by 2.

that is correct.

Your interpretations are correct. Figures with either Toughness or Invulnerability will not take Poison damage, but figures with Impervious or Super Senses will.

And, as HeroComplex had pointed out to me...

If your figure was surrounded on all eight sides by figures with Poison....

The figures with Toughness/Invulnerability would be able to soak all 8 clicks of damage (as Poison is resolved individually).

Impervious figures would most likely be KOed.

Oh my... time for a change of tactics I think.

:D

Thank you all!

Arcane, Parasite... who else can I add that has poison?

(I want to abuse... er, maximise this while the shock value is still there)

You can sort by powers, including Poison.

Kirk Langstrom (LE Manbat) is a nice one for poison

Also, in DC only, V Joker is great for the Poison with Mastermind onto Clayface III, who has toughness to start and Poison later. In fact, an all Batman Enemy poison themed team can bring quite a few jollies.
