Figures With Best Potential

hey, everyone

there are a lot of "top ten figures" or "worst figure" threads out there, and i was just wondering....

which firgures do you think had the best potential to be great, but lacked something that made them a fixture at tournaments or in games?

in my opinion, The Vision had amazing potential. He had superstrength, phasing, flying, and invuln. he never went down.

but... he had that ### two damage!! he never got to hurt ANYONE!!!


that's my pick, how about you guys?

I think Vision is great! Sure, it might be a little hard for him to go up to someone with invulnerability, but that is what his superstrength is for. Don't forget, he's also got range as well. Yes, 2 points isn't terribly all that great, but everyone can't dish out 3-5 points all the time.

As far as potentially good figures.. Blob may have been a little better, but at least he doesn't cost a ton of points. Thing could also been a little better, at least on par with she-hulk and hulk could have definately been better. What's the deal with being at the highest peak near the very tail end of the dial? Maybe a little closer to middle would have been better. *shrug*

I think that Magneto could've been alot better. He has ability though, so I can't completely knock him. On another note I believe that the V. Black Panther has alot of potential.

Magneto could have been better and cost a lot more, but right now he's still is a very good figure. I always play with him and he is completely awesome.

Vision is great, especially if you have a perplex figure or two on your team. Or, give him the special dumpster object. ;)

Blob could have been better. At least some more toughness and invul.

You want a character remade? Do Quiksilver. In the comics he's basically got the same deal as Flash, but he came out before Hypersonic Speed did, so he got a raw deal in the creation process. Quiksilver needs a HSS redo instead of flurry.

And don't get me started on Hobgoblin.

CPUX, I can see what you're saying but I actually like Quicksilver the way he is. E Quicksilver isn't even a third of the cost of E Flash but he still has a higher move (13 to 11) and base damage (2 to 1). I'm not that sold on HSS; most characters don't have a high enough AV to take advantage of the HS attack effectively (this would be an even bigger problem for Quicksilver because of Marvel's higher defense scores). With Flurry, Quicky can do 4 damage with at least a decent chance of success (though Invulnerability negates it all). I just don't see an HSS Quicky hitting more than twice. I also like that Quicky and flash are distinctive from each other.

My potential piece would be Kang. He's a great piece suffering from inflation.
