Another Ghost Rider with Bike!!

There have been like a million of these done already and Wizkids will probably make one but I couldn’t resist.

This is my favorite version of the vengeful spirit riding his simple but powerfully iconic bike. Ghost Rider is made from a repositioned Constrictor with a Firelord head. I covered the striping on Constrictor’s suit and added the collar, spikes and forearm and boot detail. Firelord’s head was repainted and I tricked-out the flames a bit. His chain is a small piece of chain from a craft shop I shaped and coated with epoxy to make it rigid – the weight at the end is Sculpty.

The bike is completely made from scratch with a combination of craft foam (allows for nice straight edges) and Sculpty. I coated the craft foam with several coats of clear finish to harden it. The wheel flames are bits cut from Pyro’s base that I accentuated with Sculpty.

Awesome job, not sure I like the stark black lines (I realize this gives a more comic book feel) and the wheels seem a little small (More flames!!! :D ) But the bike and fig are perfect.

I am a huge Ghost Rider fan and this is a work of art. I would love to know how you created this mod and what dial you gave him along with the full stats....thanks alot. I would love to try to do what you did even though I know I will not come even close. Once again this is a great piece

Puuka, I wanted to mimic the heavy black shading that Tex used in his artwork - so I was in fact going for a comic book feel. Also, I wanted him to look different than the other mods I'd seen - yours in particular since we used the same base fig.

As far as stats, I could use your aid.

- I'm thinking 9 clicks of health, 4 range, 1 lightning.
- High speed values to reflect his bike along with charge for the first 3 clicks, flurry for one click and then leap climb down the dial to reflect the bikes ability to ride up walls and perform stunts and jumps.
- For attack powers I like BCF better than superstrength, so BCF for 5 clicks, INC for 3 clicks to reflect the "Penance Stare".
- For defense I'd give him toughness for 5 clicks and REG for his last 3.
- Damage would be a 2 for the whole dial accept the fourth click where he would have a 3. The fourth click is his magic click where he will have Flurry, BCF, and a better than average damage.

Charge is certainly a good idea. I think Psychic Blast would be a better substitute for the Penance Stare than Incapacitate though. Toughness and Regen are good for Defense. Two or three damage is appropriate, but certainly not B/C/F or Flurry. The supernatural nature of his attacks should give him a very high attack value, at least a 10.

The problem with Psycic Blast is that it is a ranged attack only, Incapacitate is not. I chose PB for mine, but it was a big toss up

Thanks for the dial input - here's more rational for my stats.

I think you've got to give him BCF to represent his: spiked fists, hellflame attacks (like taking his gloves off and pounding you or running you down with his bike's flaming tires and battering ram), his multi-purpose chain (used as a whip, a bludgeon, a staff, I've even seen him spin it and let the individual links fly off like flaming shrapnel). BCF is just an easy way to capture all that.

If you don't give him BCF, then you have to take his damage value up to 3 most of the time and 4 on his magic click with flurry.

Speaking of Flurry, this represents him at peak rage I'd probably gice him Furry on this click too. I don't think one click of this is excessive.

I'f he seems a bit suped up its because hes riding hell's version of a sherman tank. If he were just a stand alone fig then I'd take him down a peg - but on his bike he's a bruiser to be sure.

I'm going with INC over PB because the Pennance Stare has to be delivered up close and personal and PB is a ranged attack.

Yeah...Adam-X is dead on here. Those mods are just terrifyingly good. Ulik...awesome. Ghost Rider...made me weep. Kurse...See Ghost Rider. Fin Fang Foom, did you use the toy from the Iron Man line from a few years back? If so, I see some changes in the future of mine. ;)

Here's my ideas for what powers and such GR should have (I'm not good with specifics, but feel free to use my ideas if you want.) Plus, this is for the R/E/V/U versions, so feel free to mix and match abilities!

Med. Cost; High Speed; High Attack; Med. Defense; 3 or 4 Damage; 6 range w/ 2 arrows

Speed Powers: Running Shot
Attack Powers: Incapacitate (Penance Stare); Pulse Wave (swinging the chain around his head)
Defense Powers: Super Senses
Damage Powers: Perplex; RCE; Battle Fury
R=No Team
E=Defenders
V=Spider-Man

Now that's some very impressive work. Particularly with playing the drybrush work off the black like that.

The worst thing I can say about it is that I'd have mounted it on a peanut-shaped "mounted" base. It really deserves it. But durned if I can think of anything negative to say about the figure or bike itself...

I don't know if any of you Ghost Rider fans out there went to RealmWorks and checked out the toyfaire. The showed an action figure for the Marvel Legends Series that has a Ghost Rider in it with bike, of course it's the Danny Ketch Ghost Rider.

Oh I really like the Titania repaint and was wondering why you didn't paint the shoulder and leg spikes silver?

Titania's leg spikes are siver? I used the Marvel Universe handbook as a color reference and they were purple - but I could see more modern illustrators making them silver. I may try it out at some point, but my main gaol with her was to make her "purdy". I did a similar repaint of She Hulk to doll her up like a big green Barbi but haven't posted it yet.
